It was already after dusk and the cold was setting in fast. It had snowed the night before, and now the dropping temperature was causing everything to ice over.
Varuna was fine with this. She wanted the opportunity to see how well she could manage to not slip and slide on the ice. It had already been a year since she first awoke into this chaos, and she was still stuck trying to figure out what was going on with her life, and her position in this war.
Even with the cold, she still had her wits about her, and an aura of a nega easily caught her attention. Someone who didn’t seem all that experienced in this war, much like herself. Good, maybe this one wouldn’t manage to kill her as easily if she was curious enough to draw closer.
Slowly, Varuna followed the aura, trying to pinpoint the exact location this person was hiding, but even down an alley, she wasn’t able to tell exactly where they might be. It was disappointing, having been around for a while now and still not able to figure out how her senshi senses worked. But they had to be close by.
Surely they would be tempted by a senshi’s starseed.

He shouldn't have powered up, it was far too cold and he was far too confused to properly function but he had driven himself out of his apartment- which was now littered with crumpled pieces of paper with half-formed paragraphs - because he couldn't focus. He had left his apartment because he hoped the cold, bitter air would clear his head.
It didn't-- instead it fogged and muddled it more like someone breathing heavily on window over and over again and James found himself more and more frustrated as the night progressed. This lead him to, naturally, power up and seek some sort of distraction and he was in the midst of draining some innocent civilian when the sugary flare of an order-aligned aura pricked his senses. Reluctantly he peeled himself free of the half-conscious and far too drunk woman clinging tightly to his coat and left her there, pocketing the small glass orb as he moved.
Aluminite wasn't sure what drew him towards the senshi, because he still wasn't very good at distinguishing the various auras, and the idea that it was to question her as he had the Chronos Page entertained him enough that he continued. He hadn't gotten far when the woman he'd been draining draped herself over his arm. "Where ya going cutie?" She asked, words slurring into one another.
He tried to shake he free but even in her intoxicated state she clung too tightly. "You need to let go. Really you need to LET GO." His voice echoed off the alley's walls and spilled into the streets.
Nice way to attract attention buddy.
