The camera cuts in quickly, looking out of the front windshield of a car driving down the interstate. We see quick cuts of the road and scenery going by out the windows. Eventually, the car turns off onto an exit, and starts driving down a highway. We see a couple of small towns go by, and more and more trees. After that, the car turns onto a dark dirt road, surrounded by forest. As the car drives down the road, off in the distance, a camera zooms in on some light through the trees. Finally, the car comes to the opening and we see a red and black circus tent surrounded by a lot of torches and four or five cars parked. The cameraman's car pulls up beside the others, and parks. The doors open, and the camera exits the car.
The camera turns and focuses on the entrance to the circus tent. The man holding the camera started walking towards the entrance. The camera shook as he took his steps, and he stopped at the entrance, before refocusing the camera and giving us a glimpse of the inside. The outer rim was surrounded by wooden bleachers that looked unsafe to sit on, and it was all on a dirt floor with a wide open space in the middle. Nothing separating the very few circus-goers from whatever was going down inside of the tent. There was a very small ramp at the back of the tent, leading to an opening covered by a black curtain, and a very small PA System with speakers set up on each side of the ramp. The camera enters, and turns to it's left, raising up a few rows before turning and taking a seat in the middle of the bleachers, about part way up. The camera keeps cutting in and out, showing different people walking in and taking their seats, but the seating never gets even a quarter full of people.
Finally, the lights go down and a weak spotlight shines on the ramp as a bit of carnival music plays and the crowd begins to clap as the show begins. The song ends with nothing happening, and the crowd wonders what is going on. The spotlight goes away, and "Echoside" by the Insane Clown Posse begins to play in the darkness. About a minute and thirty seconds into the song, the spotlight turns on, shining down into the middle of the tent, and under the spotlight with his head down, stands The Ringmaster...

He has no microphone in his hand, and he says nothing, his head still down, eyes closed. As the song plays on, about 8 or 9 clowns, half male, half female, dressed in purple and black come through the curtain, and begin dancing around him in a circle. At random points, the clowns begin throwing candy and small toys out to the very few children, and even some of the adults in the audience. As they dance around the figure in the center, the camera follows one or two of the clowns, focusing loosely on their face paint, and you can see a more sinister design in their face paint, with scars and fangs painted on. As the song comes to an end, the clowns stop where they are, and turn outward towards the crowd. Finally, The Ringmaster makes a fist in his left hand, and throws it toward the sky, with a ball of fire erupting from it! The crowd oohs, and the clowns take it as their cue to make their way backstage quickly, but single file.
"Laaaaaaaaadies aaaaaaaand gentlemeeeeeeeen... Tonight, you have come from a ways away to witness a once in a lifetime show... Tonight, you witness the return of the DARK CARNIVAL! Racists! Sinners! Killers! Thieves! EVERYBODY will eventually face judgement from the Dark Carnival, and tonight, you all will be the witnesses in the first of many trials to happen!"
The Ringmaster looks up, and begins to slowly walk around the ring of the floor, cane in hand, twirling it a couple times. He looks out at the crowd with a sadistic grin on his face, clearly excited about what was to come throughout the night.
"In addition to that, we have a few sideshow acts to entertain you while we ready the floor for the main attractions! We have sword swallowers! Fire-eaters! Jugglers! Circus freaks! All here to entertain YOU! And at the end of the night, we have the MAIN EVENT! The trial by fire of one of the most despicable, horrible human beings we could find roaming the country-side."
The crowd, still somewhat clueless to what was going to happen, claps nervously, and The Ringmaster senses their nervousness. He steps back into the middle of the floor, and plants both feet and the cane he's holding into the ground.
"Do not fear, people. For I bring you this carnival show, to show you the wickedness of the Earth, in hopes that you will realize the errors of your ways, and turn your life towards the good, before you meet your judgement, and are condemned to Hell's Pit for the rest of your days! If you change your ways, and follow the ways of the Dark Carnival that will be laid out in the six Jokers Cards, you will not meet the same end some of these people will meet tonight, and instead will join the fellow followers of the Dark Carnival, and live forever in Shangri-La!"
A few people in the crowd breath a sigh of relief as they are able to follow the words of The Ringmaster, as he lays out the plans for the evening inside of the circus tent. The Ringmaster turns on his heels and begins to march toward the cameraman sitting in the crowd. He stops a few feet in front of the bleachers, and looks straight into the camera, picking his cane up halfway on the stick. He points the end at the camera with a smile on his face.
"I see someone has ignored the rule laid out on the flyer that was put out to promote the return, and brought a recording device tonight to view the show. No matter, all I ask... No, demand... Is that the footage from tonight ends up on the internet. You will now be tasked with promoting the return, before I finally show up in person to give another Dark Carnival Supershow Extravaganza live, on BBW television.
The Dark Carnival is here, and I am it's leader! It's face! I am here to convince you all, the viewers, that the way to eternal life, and the end to all of your suffering, is to repent, turn your life around, and follow the Dark Carnival's tour from town to town. The Dark Carnival accepts people from all different economic and racial backgrounds! African-Americans, Latinos, Caucasians, Europeans, Asians, your color matters not. Rich, poor, well-off, living paycheck-to-paycheck, or scavaging for every meal, the Dark Carnival cares not. There are people from all walks of life here tonight, and in the months and months following tonight, many more will join us at each showing!"
The Ringmaster turns and begins to walk around the tent, looking out at the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the time for the show to begin is here! INTRODUCING THE FIRST DEFENDANT IN THE JUDGEMENT TONIGHT!"
The Ringmaster points his cane to the stage, and the spotlight moves over there as the carnival music from the beginning plays again. Two of the male clowns wheel out a stretcher, with a man chained to it. They wheel it down the ramp, and slowly push it around the outer edge of the dirt floor, before bringing it around near the ramp and standing it up on the edge. They undo the chains on his feet, allowing him to stand while still being trapped against the stretcher, allowing the small crowd to view the man. He's wearing boots, and black jeans, with a black leather vest on over his shirtless upper body. He has tattoos all over his arms and chest, also covering his hairless head.
"Behold! Johnny Jameson! The skinhead, white supremacist ******** extrordinaire! He is standing judgement tonight, for the crimes of murdering three African-American children! The judgement will tonight, be held by the father of one of the children he murdered!"
The Ringmaster looks over at one of the small children in the crowd covering her face, hiding in her parent's lap. He walks over slowly, before kneeling down in front of her and grabbing her hand. He brings his head close to hers, and whispers into her ear something that the camera cannot pick up. The girl nods and wipes her tears before sitting up and watching what will occur. After, the Ringmaster stands up and walks back to the middle of the ring.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I urge you not to be scared of what you will see next, and over the course of the night. These judgements are avoidable if you just devote your life to the Dark Carnival. If you truly devote yourself, and you believe in the cause, none of this, and I repeat NONE of this will happen to you or your loved ones, because your judgement will be quick and painless. Now... Back to the show!"
As he says that, an older black man in the front row stands up and begins the walk to the middle of the ring. The camera points at the ground and goes fuzzy, before going to a black screen stating "To be continued next week..."
