One class down, only her afternoon class before she was done for the day.
Mel push her books into her messenger bag as she cross the street heading towards the park just off campus. She had a few hours to spare, so she would be able to relax and get some practice in on her flute. And she couldn't think of any place better then the park where she really wasn't bugged by another.
Pausing just as a few kids ran by, she chuckles before moving forward towards the spot she always chose to sit. A small tree just by the little pond, it was perfect. No one came close to her, ever, and she could enjoy watching what was going on around her if she felt like it.
Pulling off her jacket, she drops into onto the ground before taking a seat on it. Her bag was pulled off and place next to her before she pulled out her flute case from it. Popping it open, she smiles as she pulls her flute out, looking it over for a brief moment just to make sure it was in good condition. Old habit, but she didn't want to replace it should something be wrong.
Placing her lips to the lip-plate, she closes her eyes as she starts with her scales. A warm up before she goes onto actually playing a few songs.

The park, with all of its passersby and its street performers and its mess of trees and flowers and noises and smells and sights was quite possibly Fritz's favorite place to be in all of Destiny City. He usually spent several hours a day (on his days off) plunking himself down in various parts of the park to paint, after which he would pick a subject and get to work on it.
On this particular day, he came across a most unusual subject; or, rather than unusual, perhaps unexpected could be the better word.
A young woman sat beneath a tree, the long, slender neck of a flute pressed against her lips as she played. It wasn't a song she was playing, just notes for now, it sounded, notes that went up and down and back again; a warmup, like the sketches that Fritz often did before he got down to the real business.
He stood there with his easel tucked beneath one arm and waited politely until she was finished before clapping his hands together, a wide smile on his pale, freckled face.
"That was lovely," said Fritz brightly. "Very lovely."Pixie Krysta Ordreg Ahhh sorry for delay @@ <3

She open her eyes slowly as she heard the voice.
It wasn't a familiar voice, that much she was sure of.
Turning her head toward the young man, a small blush forms across the apples of her cheeks as she looks down "Thank you, your very kind." she carefully sets her flute in it case before she stands slowly.
Brushing her jeans off, she gives him a warm smile as she holds her hand out "I believe proper introductions are in order. I'm Melinda Reese, but everyone calls me Mel for short." he wasn't a face she seen on campus before, though as of late she wasn't paying attention.
Mel and her music, she often forget to escape her world and come back to the real world.kurotomato No worries, I don't mind at all.

Fritz stared at her and then promptly dropped his paintbrushes, and stood up, rushing to accept her hand and give it a firm shake, his eyes alight with pleasure. "Do I detect a hint of English in that voice of yours?" he asked brightly, and then added, "I'm from Leeds myself, I'm positively thrilled to meet you, Melinda Reese Mel-for-short."
He let go finally and waved a hand. "So what brings you to the park this beautiful day? Just here to entertain your fellow Destiny City citizens?"

Mel's own lips turned into a smile as he mention where he was from "I'm from Cirencester myself, so you would be right on detecting an English accent." she found herself chuckling as she gives his hand a squeeze before he lets it go. It was nice to have company that was similar to her, it made her relax rather quickly as she looks down at her flute.
"Actually I come here to practice. Entertaining those around me, just happens to be one of the perks." it wasn't a lie, as she been doing so since leaving Crystal. She come here, play a few songs, even some request if someone were to ask.
Turning her gaze towards the easel and brush, she nods to them before her gaze lifts to Fritz "A painter..?" she paused "I'm not sitting in your place am I?"" she suddenly became worried that she might have stopped him from working on piece because she was in the way. kuroopu TiH took over my brain....OTL

He may or may not have accidentally left paint on her fingers in his haste to shake her hand, not that Fritz noticed this at all. "Cirencester!" he said with delight, and grinned, clasping his hands together. "I've never been there myself, but I hear it's lovely! I do admit I spent most of my time less in Leeds and more skulking around London, but I do love the countryside, I must admit."
Green eyes traveled towards the flute she held in her hands and Fritz glanced back at Mel, a smile on his lips. "I've never been musical myself, which is particularly sad," he said with a laugh. "Therefore I commend anyone who can make music, I find it charming and quite relaxing."
Her worried question made him wave his hands. "No, no, not at all!" said Fritz hastily. "I don't mind a bit, you're actually quite good, and it was beautiful to listen to."
There was a small pause, and then, "If you actually wouldn't mind, I would love to hear you play again. You could keep me company while I work, if it isn't to bold to ask."Pixie Krysta Ordreg That's okay! It's understandable q u q <3

Mel didn't seem to mind at all that he left paint on her hand. Turning, she picks up a small cloth she kept in her bag. Quickly wiping her hands off, she set it back into her back "You should really visit the next time you return home, I promise you will enjoy it." she herself like him never been to Leeds, though now she would have to check it out the next time she went home for a visit.
Turning her eyes back to her flute, she couldn't help but chuckle. Scooting over, she taps the seat next to her on jacket "Please, your welcome to join me." she push her curls behind her hair before she lifts the flute back to her lips. Without another word, she starts to play once again.
It was a soft tune, one of her own creations actually.
About love, then loss, only to find another again.
