Connor begrudgingly pulled his car in to the shop's little parking lot, annoyed that he had to take the time to do this today.
It had been an accident- really it had, for once. Considering he was on a strict no-powered-encounters diet, this broken windshield wiper had literally been the fault of no one.
While he'd parked his car downtown, some jackass had left one of those soliciting fliers underneath the wiper, and when he'd gone to pluck it out, the wiper snapped with a poignant crack through the air.
It was annoying, but fixable. After parking his car, he walked towards the little office kiosk at the front and filled in the necessary paperwork. One thing led to another, and he was eventually pulling his car into the bay for reparations that were supposed to only take a few hours. He really hoped this wouldn't take longer than neccessary. He had things to do. Like sleep.

"No problem brah, I got this one." came a female voice as it shouted into the office.
Pulling her hair up into a messy ponytail, Azi steps into the garage as she shuts the door behind her. Her overall uniform was tied down around her waist thanks to the heat they kept going. She was tempted to pull the brown tank off, but was already warned by her brother not to do so. She didn't understand why, she had a sportbra under it.
Moving towards the car, she looks it over before the name caught her attention "Now where in the hell have I heard that name before?" she glance up for a brief moment, only to blink a moment.
Wait she went to school with this dude didn't she?
"Connor? Connor from Meadowview?" she wasn't even sure if he knew her, but she seen him a couple times when she was out running during baseball practice.

Once he'd moved the car into place (as per some of the mechanics' gesturing) Connor stepped out of the car and stretched. Luckily it was the weekend, so he didn't need his car for the few hours. He'd probably just bum around the place, maybe play some games on his phone. The exciting life of a twenty-something.
He heard a familiar voice, trying to place where it came from. He definitely recognized the girl coming towards him, but the name didn't pop into place like it was supposed to. "Ah ... yeah hey. Sorry if this is rude, but do I know you? I recognize you but I can't place the name."
Connor scratched the back of his head, trying not to feel horrible about it, but only making himself feel worse. "Feel free to hit me, I know."

Azi arches a brow before she laughs "You don't want me to hit you Connor. I have a nice right hook." she set the clipboard down carefully on the hood of the card before she turns to face him "Azi, I played on the baseball team for Meadowview. Was one of the few girls on campus that drove a motorcycle instead of a car." she nods towards her green Kawasaki Ninja.
"So how you been dude? Still lazy as ever?" she teased him as she turns to look over the damage to the wiper. It was an easy fix, one she could do in a matter of seconds. Though by the looks of the other wiper, she was gonna have to replace them both.
Pushing her bangs from her face, she huffs "I'm gonna replace them both, free of charge alright?" she turns back to him as she pulls her overalls back up over to cover her brown tank top.

When she announced who she was, it all came back. She'd been a lot taller last time he'd seen her. Or maybe he just got bigger. "Ah right. You were always gettin' into fights, weren't you?"
He gave her a crooked smile and said, "Define lazy." He'd never considered himself lazy, weirdly enough, but he was certainly told he was many times by many different people. He preferred to think of himself as a turtle to everyone' hair.
When she said she'd fix the wipers for free, Connor shrugged. He'd already paid for it at the window, but if she wanted to think she was doing him a service, there was no harm in it. Better that she feel good about her deed than Connor crush her for the "truth." "Well thanks. Sorry it's kind of a beat up car. I leave it til it breaks, y'know? Bad at the whole maintenance thing." Was he being a bit dull in terms of conversation? Well what did it matter. Not like she found him fascinating anyways. So he thought.
"You still play baseball, or did you quit after high school?" he asked. Might as well talk about her, even if he didn't consciously know he was directing the conversation away from himself.

Azi snorts as she gives a grumble "Yea, I was the chick who fought, though most of them deserved it." it was the truth as far as she was concerned. Anyone who picked on her deserved to get beat down by her.
She turned her grey eyes towards him for a moment, before shrugging "You always were sleeping in class. So lazy.." she teased as she grabs a new set of wipers after removing the ones he had. It didn't take her much more then ten minutes and she had them replaced for him.
Moving pass Connor, she slips into the car only to turn the engine over. Checking the wipers, she smiles when she see them working only to turn it back off. "Okay those look good, if you don't mind..I wanna check under the hood for a moment." she didn't like the way it sounded, so she wanted to make sure there were no loose wires, and enough oil in the car "And to answer your question, yea I still play. I'm apart of the women team at DCU." chimarii Double post to fix mistakes. I am so so sorry, I don't know why I kept seeing an 'e' and not an 'o' in his name. OTL

Connor nodded, fondly remembering sleeping through class. "In my defense, if the teachers were better I wouldn't have fallen asleep." Connor blamed all of his educational problems on other people, that was for sure.
When she asked for permission to examine the rest of the car, he awkwardly said, "Er, yeah that's fine. I mean as long as it doesn't cost anything ...?" He winced, embarrassed that he even had to talk like this. "Sorry, baller on a budget."
He listened to her talking about playing baseball at DCU, nodding. She'd always been pretty baseball-tastic from what he remembered. It would make sense that she'd continue on later. "Yeah I ... was at shlip for a while, but I dropped out. Not for me, too much money. You probably know the story."

Azi laughs as she shakes her head "Brah, like I said before. This is on me, okay?" she peeks under the hood of the car look it over for a moment. Her fingers tugged on the battery cables before she was pretty sure it wasn't anything dealing with the battery. Moving away from the care only for a moment, she moves back over to the work bench to pick up her light before turning back towards Connor and the car.
"I have a feeling that your running low on oil. The cables attached to your battery are fine, so no worries on that. I can give you a quick oil change, less then fifteen minutes." she grins to him as she place the clipboard down "So you at SHLIP? What was that like? I heard it was boring stick in the mud place." she check the oil, finding that it was indeed low.
Stepping pass him again, she moves towards the huge metal cabinets just on the other side of the garage. Pulling them open, she glance over a couple before she turns back to Connor "Do you know which type of oil your car takes, by chance?" she turns her eyes back towards oil selection "By the way, its good to see you at least. You never believe this s**t, but I use to have this major a** crush on you back in high school. Don't ask why, but I thought you were hella cute. When you were awake that is." she laughs "Back when I was questioning s**t and all." then she met Piper, and they click.
Piss one another off, even got into fist fights.
Yet she still agreed to an open relationship with him.
In her mind, one of the best moves she even did in her life.
