Maybe he lost his touch, maybe he evolved with our society which is becoming nothing but mush and corporatism, either way... I used to love him in the 90's.

His older stuff was amazing... I love his music up to the point where he created Born Villain... Born Villain was a disaster.

I saw one of the videos for one song from that CD, perhaps it was even called Born Villain. The video was cool, but the song was s**t. I didn't even give the CD a chance after that.

I listen to the CD once before deciding if it's good or bad though... I had a massive headache after listening to Born Villain though... Marilyn Manson needs to go back to his original style in music, or needs to quit recording.

I heard ages ago he was working on a movie but then there was no movie. At least not one I ever heard about.

Rob Zombie has directed a few films, including The House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and The Lords Of Salem.... Unfortunately Rob Zombie's music is beginning to get a bit questionable as well... His last album wasn't all that great. If Marilyn Manson goes into directing, I'm sure that will be a disaster as well.

I've never really been a fan of Manson, to be honest. I had a really good friend growing up that was way into him for a while. His music just never spoke to my particular brand of teenage angst. Same with Rob Zombie. I like a few of his songs (ok and I did like House of 1000 Corpses too) but I don't think he's ever been on my shortlist of favorites. confused

.:I loved ALL of Rob Zombie's movies. I couldn't picture Manson making movies but he has always had a dark theatrical sense and very good stage show that only got progressively better the bigger his budget became.. So I would have to say I would love to at least see and attempt at film making from him. Both of their music has been rather blah as of recent years though, but hey they are getting old. They had a great run:.

I think Manson has a shot if he either goes into producing or film making. I just think he might be at the end of his rope musically.

I wouldn't exactly consider them metal either. Unless you wanna talk White Zombie, that was a bit different. What bands did speak to your "teenage angst" ?

Matadair I heard his mom just died. Marilyn Manson is known as being a dark rocker, but he's showing a softer side.
Barbara J. Warner, the singer's mother, died last week at the age of 68 after battling dementia and Manson used Facebook to mourn.
"To my Mother, the first and greatest believer in me... I hope I see you again someday. But not now, because I have more things I promised I would do. I'll make you proud and satisfied that you know you made the son you wanted," the singer, whose real name is Brian Warner, wrote on Sunday.
