Hi Im Mr.Jeffrey Agustin how do Mission Funds Operate in Your Church, btw im A Campus Missionary our Campus Missions just started last 2012, and right now we are having 9 services per week, and to maintain those people and caring for them in the Love of the Lord, we need funds i want to ask this question how do you do it? in ur church how do you raise funds
Other than passing the plate for 'love offerings for missions work',
Have you tried things like;
1-doughnut sales
2-car washes
3-rent a college kid for the day to handle you're 'Honey Do List' of things that need to be done around you're home. (Old people and injured people love having a able bodied person to come over and clean out the gutters, wash the pooch, tac down the carpet on the stairs- You rent out a able body college student/missionary student for the day to do house hold chores and yard work-you advertise in the supermarkets, laundry mats, etc... a piece of paper saying "Rent a Student for the Day" then explain what you are capable of doing for people-leave only a phone number and a made up name like Chuck on the flyer-people who are interested in hiring a able bodied student for the day will tear off the number and call and ask for 'Chuck", you write down what they need someone for for the day, and then send out one of you're able bodied student members to go to work for the day. You set the rates for different tasks. Like 10.00 an hour to rake the yard and hedge the bushes or whatever is needed to be done.)
Don't laugh. I put myself through Oxford by shoveling walks, raking leaves, mowing yards and fixing roofs and such.
