Ayo hummed to himself quite amiably as he strode into the roguelands on his naming quest. He was proud, he was strong, he was ready to rock this thing! The slightly cocky young adolescent had left the swamps on a sunny day - and the weather had yet to break from that sunny warmth. His mouth was beginning to feel dry, so bounding and leaping up rocks he began to look for water, the tell-tale glimmer in the distance. To his surprise - and joy - he could already spy not only a glimmer but the sight of a (seemingly unsused) waterhole. There was a couple of splashes of colour that might be other animals, but that only meant prey. Unless he guessed they were other predators ; but eh, he could take them!
The sun had moved only a few inches across the sky as Ayo raced across the grasslands and arrived slightly panting at the waterhole, which he jumped in with a joyous roar. The preybeasts scattered but he wasn't hungry or hunting right now. The water quickly soaked through his thick coat, cooling him down as he swallowed the water thirstily. As the bedraggled lion exited the water he was chuckling to himself happily.
