★ LEGEND:
Felicity Dialogue
Diggle Dialogue
Oliver's Dialogue )

ʘliver stood in his large home before a expansive window. Sunlight illuminated himself and the area immediately around him. In his hand he clutched the ceramic handle of a mug filled with steaming coffee. He raised the mug to his lips and took a sip of the steaming roasted brew. His facial hair often liked to try and dip into his drinks but he had learned to trim it just enough and tilt his head ever slightly to avoid dying his already dirtyblond facial hair an unpleasant brown.. ish color. Oliver lowered his mug from his mouth, letting the brew warm his stomach. He gave a sigh and moved closer to the window, leaning his forearm on the windowsill and let his blue eyes scan the horizon of Starling City and frowned, raising his free hand to rub at his chest absently.

All day, so far, Oliver had been having this odd feeling in his gut all day, something wasn't right and he had had quite the trouble concentrating on work. Oliver huffed out a breath as he set down his coffee on a table and turned from the table with a mildly grim look on his face. Tonight was a night of vigilantism, it was in the air and who was he to deny that sirens call? But now, he was in a business suit, Diggle would be arriving anytime now to chauffeur him to a business meeting where Ollie had interests in purchasing shares in Ferris Air who just-so-happened to be in Starling whilst on their tour.

Soon a ring of the Queen residence's bell took him from his thoughts as he was about to wander off back into the island, something he usually did. Before he could however he found himself having to go into the living room where the door was not far. His mother had answered it. Upon opening it she greeted John and he returned the favor. He did not come in fully and yet requested to see if Oliver was ready. Walking up beside his mother he smiled at her and Diggle. "Diggle." Oliver said with a small smile. "Uhm, I'm ready when you are. I'll be back later." he said to his friend and told his mother. Immediately following Diggle led the way to the vehicle opening the backseat door for Oliver. Once he was inside fully, Diggle shut the door and walked over to the driver's side of the limo. "So, you know this Ferris Air? Well something's not right about it. In the last couple of their tours there have been weird... things that have happened." Felicity said uneasily.

"What do you mean by weird." he posed back to her. Diggle scanning over the two through the reer-view mirror. "Well... depends on how much your belief in the supernatural are." Ollie raised a brow to Felicity at this. "I'll take it they aren't that high... but in the recent tours there have been at least one person gone missing or reported missing and most haven't been found. It's a weird case but if you're wondering why I'm thinking aliens its because these crimes aren't normal. The people that are found are never the same. They are unstable and they get institutionalized. If you didn't already know why its because they claimed to be—abducted by aliens I presume." "Yeah and not only that they say these are aliens that wear costumes. I'm still looking through reports of details but I'm mostly being brought back to forums with nut-cases and their theories. Y'know the typical back-in-the-wood rifle hoarding people. But still there is something more to this case than what is meeting the eye."

"Well then.. It sounds like something the Vigilante will have to look into. Diggle what do you think about all of this? Ever believe in aliens growing up?" Diggle simply gave a look that obviously meant 'no' in the mirror adjusting it so Oliver could see his response. This bringing a chuckle to Oliver. Not along after driving they had made it to the Ferris Air Tour. Pulling up to the scene there were a crowd of people. "Looks like everyone wanted to see a show. If this alien talk is really true, they'll be in for one." John said surveying the crowd as they pulled up. After parking they walked up to where everyone was at crowding about. Getting up and close the trio were able to see what was going on.

Hal Jordan Green Lantern

{{Dialogue Legend:
Hal Jordan/Green Lantern
Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire
}}

It was another typical pre-show morning for Hal Jordan. Small hotel room overlooking the pool, minifridge stocked with takeout and beer, coffee pot bubbling and gurgling in the corner. Ferris Air had paid for all arrangements, transportation, meals, anything that Jordan and his fellow airmen could possibly need. But for Jordan, this mostly meant as much privacy as possible. Most of the other airmen, while not as cocky as Jordan, weren't nearly ask skilled as the natural flier that he was. But, then again, they didn't have the advantage of being a Green Lantern on their side.

Jordan had only been a Lantern for a few years, but had a good many adventures in places that most of his friends and colleagues could only dream of. But that was why he kept his job with Ferris, where even in the clouds, it kept him close to Earth. There was something in particular with this tour, though. It started with a conversation he had with the CEO of the company, Hal's on-again/off-again girlfriend and boss, Carol Ferris, a few weeks before:

"So you're saying that we should go on this cross country tour, while we're in the middle of financial crisis, all because of a hunch your alien buddies came up with that there are abductions happening in...how many major US cities, Hal?" Carol asked begrudgingly. "13 major cities, 4 county fairs, 2 state fairs, and even a thing with the Blue Angels in Florida. I already talked with the board members, financial geeks, even the PR guys, they're all for it! I mean, yeah, I left out the parts about, you know, aliens, but I did tell them this would do great for us with Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp." He leaned in at to drive in another point, "Plus, this keeps me Earth-side for a few months, which makes you happier, right?"

Back in his hotel room, Jordan's alarm buzzed abruptly. By instinct, the Lantern shot a burst of emerald energy from his ring, obliterating the alarm clock. "Crap, there goes another alarm clock," he said as he came to and rubbed on his face. His early morning beard was shaved off, face washed, and his Green Lantern ring recharged by the Lantern he stashed in the hotel's safe. Finally donning his father's old pilot's jacket, the one with his last name fading in the stitching, Jordan stepped out of his hotel to the grey of the last stop on Ferris Air's tour: Starling City.

★ LEGEND:
Felicity Dialogue
Diggle Dialogue
Oliver's Dialogue )

The trio stood surveying as tents with pilots were set up. Booths in which they paid to get autographs signed. One booth in particular however had a amazing number of people huddled about it. A line was formed and the gentleman or woman had not even been present yet. Ollie noticed this while Diggle looked around at the other stands. "Who's supposed to be here?" he asked. But before Diggle could weigh in and even generate an answer, Felicity began to speak.

"Hal Jordan, apparently. Oliver's face turned up into a frown somewhat as the knowing of this brought a question as to how Felicty knew him. He wasn't too easy with her and other guys although he had claimed not to have those type of feelings for her. Its like the emotion he had shown to Barry: cold. But now he was comatose. Back to the question at hand he eyed Felicity. "Care to explain the relationship between you two?" he asked almost as if he was romantically involved with her, which as stated before wasn't.

"There is none. I was just reading next to the life-sized standing sign of him behind you with his scheduled time to be here. According to the sign it says he should have been here just about.. five minutes ago." she answered. Oliver relieved at her not knowing the pilot. Diggle saw this and slightly smirked before taking his eyes and placing them onto Felicity. "Think maybe this guy could have some part in your alien case? He is late. Maybe probably dropping off a human he's scarred for life." Diggle playfully said. Felicity however being a book worm and not much of a humor taker had then began to speak,

"It's likely that, that could be a reasoning. We're not really in any stages to rule anyone out as a suspect. Aliens following one specific tour... it has be one of the workers who knows something about it." just then Ollie tuned in, "What? Just twenty minutes ago I had as much thought as aliens being real as the toothfairy. We'll check it out. But first we're going to wait around for this, Hal Jordan and just see if he has anything to do with, whatever this is."

If it wasn't already displayed Oliver hadn't had much realism with aliens and real in the same sentence. If so why follow some pilots, why not go stalk a Sci-Fi convention or something. Wasn't that more plausible? He questioned. Felicity and Diggle saw his medium frustration and said no more. Only because now they had marked Jordan as a primary suspect because of his late arrival.

Starling Vigilante

(Hal Jordan/Green Lantern
Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire)

"This is the fourth show you've been late to, Hal," Carol said with anger and frustration over the phone as Jordan was riding in the back of a cab, "And no, I won't accept 'but the waiter at the diner looked fishy, not weird but actually like a human fish,' as an excuse again!" "Carol, come on, you know that actually panned out, and we got a huge lead--" Hal tried convincing before he was cut off, "No, YOU got a lead, not WE. You and your damn ego, and this whole idea of aliens--" she continued before Hal shushed her loudly over his cell phone. The cab driver, doing his best to make a fare and trying not to pry into his passenger's business, raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Dammit, Carol, calm down! No one told me how bad traffic in this town was. Would have been on time had I known. Look, this is the last stop on the tour, and I've almost closed in on our..." Jordan trailed off as he noticed perked ears from the driver, "On our...'special friends'," (the driver resumed a lack of interest) "And besides, I'm almost there anyway, right, buddy?," Hal asked the driver. The cabbie just gave a thumb's up, not wanting to be any further in the conversation.

Another 10 minutes, and Jordan finally arrived at the Starling Air Field. He smiled and waved, signing things ranging from shirts and caps to foreheads and other body parts. Jordan was nothing if not a man of the people, just like his father. After a few minutes passing through the crowds, he finally made it to his tent, where Ferris Air crew members shot him looks of disdain. "Glad you could show up, Highball," Hal's main crew chief Tom Kalmaku said in a low voice, "The guys were about to strap me in instead." Hal chuckled as he got to his table and grabbed the microphone.

"Mornin' folks! Sorry I'm late," Jordan grinned as he spoke into the mic, "But I was just given a tour of your lovely city. Driver must have been new, too, because he swore we were taking the scenic route," he added with a bit of a laugh. The audience didn't respond. Clearing his throat, he continued, "Hey, who wants to see some high flying shenanigans, huh?" The throng broke into cheers and applause. "Moron," Tom said to Jordan as he sat down. Jordan just shrugged.

★ LEGEND:
Felicity Dialogue
Diggle Dialogue
Oliver's Dialogue )

Speak of the devil. Literally and in theory was came known to be a fact as Hal Jordan made his long awaited appearance. The uproaring crowd approved that. Though his beginning of speech to the crowd brought silence. Filling in for the uneasy feel without a thought's notice he did well and too perfection. Diggle leaned over to Oliver's ear saying over the crowd, "This guy knows his way with talking through a crowd. Remind you of anyone?" he gestured to Oliver's 'day' or sometimes night, persona. Ollie gave a glance at Diggle and then back at Jordan who had offered to the crowd of seeing some, in his words, "flying shenanigans".

Fans of Hal Jordan were able to get pictures and autographs with the pilot. It was a nice sight really, reminded Ollie why he had ventured to the Ferris Air Tour. He had heard such positive things excusing the alien... uh yeah, still don't know what to call it yet. But anywho before it was known they were next in line. Oliver, Felicity, and Diggle. Once they were up next at the tent Oliver cleared his throat and raised his arm out to Hal to shake.

"Mr. Jordan its a pleasure to finally meet you. I thank you and Ferris Air for venturing out to Star(ling) on your tour. It has been looking like one that won't be forgotten, easily, that is." Oliver said fixing up his suit jacket as he on regular occasions done in mid-conversation slightly but not much gesturing to the alien talk.

Starling Vigilante

(Hal Jordan/Green Lantern)

A camera flashed as Hal grasped the young billionaire's hand for a firm handshake. It would sure make for a good front page story. "Pleasure's all mine, Mr. Queen. My boss, Carol Ferris, she's told me a lot about your company." After a few more photos were taken, Ferris Air's security detail started closing the booth down so the pilots could get ready for their air show. "Now, I know your company's big in environmentalism and whatnot, but have you ever seen an F-22 up close and personal? Something you don't see everyday."

Hal brought Queen and his entourage with him to the hub, where the jets were kept. "Real beauty, ain't she?," Jordan said as he motioned to his jet, a dark grey F-22 Raptor with green accents and the callsign "Highball" written underneath the cockpit. He beamed with pride over the sight. Hal's crew chief, Tom, had been fine tuning the jet from tip to tail with a crew of four to prep it for the show. "She ready to fly, Tom?," Jordan shouted to his crew chief as a thumb's up sprang into the air.

As Hal began to take his guests around the hub to get a better look at the jets, an inhuman screech was heard throughout to air field. It wasn't mechanical, nor did it sound like anything from Earth. Jordan knew it was what he'd been searching for. "Well, hey, folks, hate to do this to you, but I gotta cut the tour short. Something...uh, something's come up." Hal ran off towards the nearby woods as he left Oliver and his friends behind.

After what he believed was a safe enough distance, he brought his Lantern ring up and asked, "Ring, you get a positive I.D. on that sound?" The ring answered in a soothing voice, "Negative, Lantern Jordan. No such sound is available for cross analysis in Oan databanks. Suggested course of action--" "I know, I know, suit up and patrol. Engage only if necessary" Hal said as he cut the ring off. With a burst of green energy, Hal Jordan's Green Lantern uniform formed around him, and he flew off into the air, passing over the air field in the direction the ring heard the sound.

★ LEGEND:
Felicity Dialogue
Diggle Dialogue
Oliver's Dialogue
The Vigilante's Dialogue )

Oliver along with his friends and secret accompaniers to the Vigilante, his night identity followed Hal as he led them around showing them jets. Complimenting them as he walked around. But before he was able to ask any questions about the jets and their fueling and how it would affect the enviorment. A loud screech that caused Oliver to slightly become disorientated and Felicity having to cover her ears. "What was that?" Diggle questioned. Oliver was about to turn to him and speak but then Hal Jordan abrutly excused himself and without another further word ran off.

This didn't come off as anything but alarming to Oliver and the safety of his city. With a stern look that acknowledged Diggle what was next Oliver turned and gave his best face to the other existing pilot, Tom. "How the time goes. Uhm, I'm afraid we're running on quite of a busy schedule today. I'll make sure to have my assistant fax over and hash somethings out for Queen Consolidation to donate to Ferris Air." Oliver quickly said before figgedtly began to walk off and fast to which Diggle and Felicity followed. "We need to go and find out what took Mr. Jordan away so quickly. Felicity any news reports about that noise?" he asked already expecting of her to have gone ahead and searched for any leads.

"Oh? No problem, Mr. Queen." she sarcastically snapped back at him. Oliver stopped and looked at her seeing his comment before must of offended her. She did say she didn't like being referred to as his assistant. But right now? It just wasn't the right time to argue about it. She seeing this scoffed a bit and looked down at her portable and began to read off what she could. "Nothing, so far. I'll keep checking." she replied as they got in the car and Diggle headed to the lair. Once they gotten there Oliver suited up. Lastly after putting the domino mask, made by Barry Allen, on his face he had lifted up the green hood and flexed it out he had always done so it stopped anyone from seeing his face. Diggle asserted himself in wanting to come but Oliver worried about his previous work on the field and getting shot he wanted him to rest. Plus it was midday and while it would be different for the hood being out it would be more a handicap if someone saw Diggle who hadn't been costumed, helping him.

Felicity was back at her station typing away as she finally found something. "There. Some reports have been being made about that same noise and description of some type of extraterrestrial. Downtown to be exact is where they said it is coming from and uhm, they are quite short its not anything human. Oliver, be careful." she finished now staring at him. He looked at her not saying a word. Taking his bow from its place he turned around and began walking. "I'll be back," he stated confirming he'd be indeed careful.

Ten minutes later courtesy of his cycle he would have been pulling to the scene where he heard the noises and sounding of honking horns. What he saw was indeed far from human. It was almost godzilla like. And if he wanted to keep his word of being safe he needed to get to higher ground. So he swept into an alley leaving his cycle there. Scaling up the building- his eyes widen as he saw the same description Felicity gave earlier about the costume garbed alien. Using his voice alterer now he began to talk to Felicity about the situation, "I think I just found our alien. Two to be exact." Oliver said. Now he would quickly reach into his quiver and draw out a arrow and do it into his bow before retracting it back for more speed when he did let go. Soon he let the arrow sprang and go spiraling at the airborn enemy even if he missed it was bound to go by in view of the alien (Hal Jordan).

Starling Vigilante

(Hal Jordan/Green Lantern)

Hal had reached the financial district of Starling City, tracking the Alien's movements according to his ring. He'd followed it from the air field and finally saw the creature. Massive, black and covered in armor, the creature let out another shriek as it continued making its way up the Queen Consolidated building. Using his ring to create a megaphone, Jordan shouted at the creature, "Hey, ugly! You are in violation of about 34 Green Lantern corps interstellar laws, including murder, theft and being just plain ugly. Now how's about you come down quietly so I can arrest you and get back to my day job?" The alien gave a throaty, almost metallic chuckle as it continued to scale the building, ignoring the Lantern's request. "Fine by me, I was getting bored anyway. Ring, I'm enacting New Corps rule 1, use of lethal force. Any problems with that?" The ring chirped in response, "Lethal force enacted. Try to keep it to a minimum, Lantern Jordan. We don't need another suspension on your record." "Yeah, yeah, keep the violence to a--WHOA, what the hell?," Hal said, a bit startled as an arrow whizzed past him toward the monster climbing the building. Tracing where it had come from, he noticed a hooded green figure with a bow. The infamous Starling vigilante, the Arrow. "Hey, jerk-off!," the Lantern yelled as he blazed down to the ground, picking up the Arrow with a ring-powered fist, "The hell's your damage? You almost hit me!"

The Vigilante's Dialogue )

Arrow watched as in the blink of the eye after almost hitting the green costumed alien, who wore a mask?, came whizzing down to him. Forming some unearthly green fist and that held him from being free. In his dark voice, he spoke having saw that the imagery of the green came from the green on the alien's finger. And wait, did he just speak english? Oliver felt the voice was familiar still the more important thing wasn't this guy's voice it was taking him down. "I'm not the one causing the damage." Arrow said. "Matter of fact, your friend is right behind you." he lied, but he figured concentration was important for his enemy. If he lost it he'd been open. So if he had fell for his lie and put some type of guard on for the thought of the monster being behind him The Vigilante would try to slyly strike him in the face with a punch before dropping back down to the building and picking up his fallen bow.
