What are you afraid of! Discuss your fears here...
Okay, I have a confession to make...I am extremely bashful around 'social situations.' I'm also pretty timid generally speaking, or at least I think so, I get told how laid-back I am. I like fluctuate between 'relaxed' and 'nervous' although I am rarely ever angry, so that's a plus.
As for the less serious things I'm afraid of, I'm terrified of bugs and to a lesser extent rats. I also used to be afraid of heights but for some reason I got over that. I don't know HOW. I'm just not afraid of them anymore. Weird.
Wish that would work on other things. XD

I'm only REALLY afraid of two things... Getting trapped underwater/in a small space where I can't move, and missing my soul mate.
Honestly I'd rather get half drowned than REALLY think about the possibility that I might never meet my soul mate. The very thought terrifies me to the point of tears. *Shudders* I really hope I don't have to find out what it's like to always be alone. I'm okay with it for now because I've got plenty of time to find him, but if I hit 40 and I still haven't met him? I'm going to get a little nervous.

I'm afraid of public speaking. I don't know why because other's opinions usually don't mean a lot to me unless they're a friend, I just am. I mean it's horrible. My face gets red and I begint o sweat a lot (icky, but true.) I sometimes hyperventilate.
I also hate snakes. Snakes scare the crud out of me, just because they either sick inch long fangs into you and inject lethal poison into you or constrict you and possibly eat you alive. Something about that just scares the bageebers out of me.
I don't know if I'm afraid of a lot of other things, rateher than I just don't like them. More info on that later.

I'm paranoid about speaking in public, because I don't like being watched.
I'm not afraid of talking to people, I'm just not a social creature.
Heights don't get me, but if I'm up, I'm afraid of the ground :XP:
I like bugs, but, occasionally I'll flip out when one is crawling on me.
Since I've gotten a girlfriend, I've become afraid that I might loose her, even though if I did, I would still love her. The two days we've spent together since we started dating have been the best days of my life and I didn't want them to end. Because I love her so much, I'm afraid of what would happen if I loose her.

Boy am I glad I've never been afraid of public speaking! I do that for a living nowadays (Well, depends on the day how much I get to do) so it would really suck if I was afraid of it. The thing I learned that makes it much easier is to remember that you're the expert on whatever it is you're talking about, otherwise you wouldn't be up there! Even if you say something completely wrong, most people won't know, and even if they do, they won't call you out on it.... Unless you're in my line of work.
I must be a strange girl because snakes and bugs and stuff have never scared me, I actually want a snake for a pet but there's no one who would take care of it when I have to go out of the country... well my little sister would, but she lives too far away. (She's got a terrier, a tarantula, a ball python, and a wolf... scarey house.)

I was absolutely paranoid that, when I would go to ask someone out, they would say no. When I finally got the courage to ask someone out, she said that she had to think about it and that she really didn't realise that I wanted to go out with her. Short story, I'm going out with her.

... *Glares* I don't see why people are afraid to be alone when they're teenagers. *Realizes Panth isn't, but still.* I have friends who start freaking out after being single for a week, like it's impossible not to be with someone. I think it's ridiculous and that teenagers should learn to be content with themselves. I mean my Candy-kins is so afraid of being alone she's going out with a guy who has another girlfriend, and she's "okay" with it... I wanna smack that guy sooo bad, the nerve he has to treat my Candy-kins like that... Of course I won't do that, cause I'm afraid of his huge size advantage. *Chuckles* See how I used "huge" and "size advantage" like that?... I need to stop drinking Bawls before I go to bed. *Slowly creeps away from the computer before people begin to think I'm crazy.*

Most crushes/relationships won't really last out of high school anyway. It's unfortunate, but usually there are only very, very, very few people in the world you end up completely trusting (and even then it's only about 90%)
I can't stand the melodramatic-ness of teenagers. I'm glad I already graduated from that...(although people in their early 20s aren't necessarily better...it takes time to mature XD)

Solidify (although people in their early 20s aren't necessarily better...it takes time to mature XD) Understand that one. My 21yr old cousin is a moron and acts like a child most of the time. Oh, for those who don't know, I'm 20. And apparently mature beyond my years. As for being alone, always have been. I've never been able to make many friends, so I've ended up sitting in libraries reading most of my days away.

Other than an irrational fear of talking to strangers on the phone that makes me to go though cold sweats and I freeze up and talk like a maniac or hang up half way though a sentance... Its really funny, cos all the while Im sitting in the back of my mind thinking about what the person thinks of me.
Other than that Im rather fearless, although I have a healthy respect for danger.

Angelic_Illusionz ... I need to stop drinking Bawls before I go to bed. *Slowly creeps away from the computer before people begin to think I'm crazy.* Lol... I'm not really worried about boyfriends and what they do(anymore). I know that I can really hurt them if I wanted to, even though I never do. Whatever happens, I know I can handle it. I don't need anyone to boost my confidence, and I'm not afraid to do whatever I have to do to right a situation. As far as fears go, I don't really know what I am afraid of anymore. As a kid I was afraid of the usual things kids are afraid of- spiders, the dark, things that go bump in the night... Oh, I'm afraid of crossing a busy street that's not at the crossing. I have reasons for that. When I was 4 years old my ma had crossed the street to talk to her friend, and I got scared because I was alone on the other side of the street, so I ran across the street after her, and under the wheels of a truck. Damn, I was lucky. I only remember that I'm afraid of something though when that fear arises. Just recently realised that one though, when I was in Sydney with ma, she crossed the street and was calling me across and it was really busy, I realised that I was really nervous, and remembered the incident when I was younger. It's only with really busy streets though. I like snakes, I don't mind spiders as long as they dont come too near me... I've actually wanted a pet snake in year 6. That would have been so cool.
