Her body is well proportioned, however she has a small waist making her her hips and her bust more appealing, in other words she has a structure with soft curves. Her facial expression tends to look on the innocent side, her skin just from looking looks like it could be as smooth as silk. Her hair is one of the things she holds pride in, it is of a gentle brown (and in her opinion bright) brown. She usually lets it fall quite loosely, its length reaching her hips. Only a small portion of it is held at the top of her head, preferably in a bun of some sort, for looks of course.

        Quirks
      • Yanmei appears to be a caring woman, as well as in a constant joyful mood. Giggles are frequently heard leaving this female’s lips, which many times do not seem to have a purpose. No one is quite sure why she giggles at times, it isn’t always because something was funny and of that sort. Yanmei herself does not seem aware of why she has small giggle fits, or at least if she does she denies it. After all, sometimes, some things are best left not knowing. Regardless of the reason behind them, her giggles are like a chorus of angels, spilling out sweet harmonies. Well, that is one way of putting it, you can’t please everyone, so while some are awed at her others may just be annoyed.

        It doesn’t matter who you are, if she knows you, doesn’t know you, she beams out smiles for all the world to see. She loves the presence of others and is openly affection to those who cross her path. Now don’t go getting this mixed up with kissing and what not, for Yanmei seems to bear the innocence of a child. Many may just think of her as pure and probably even naïve. She isn’t naïve she just does not seem to care or think of such things. Yanmei’s affections are like that of a child, warm hugs and sweet peeks on cheek or forehead. It seems that people she is more familiar with, or really enjoys their presence, her affections come very frequently.

        Underneath all her sweet “fragrance” lies a dark secret. Many could suspect such a thing with her being perfectly sweet and innocent on the outside, those, those are always the ones who are to be watched. It remains unknown whether or not this darkness is solely influenced by Yongnian her weapon’s spirit, or if she indeed has a dark side to her. It is likely one will never know the answer to such a question. Yanmei in certain situations, especially when influenced by Yongnian, shows dark tendencies, however at the same time still seems to retain the innocent façade. One could possible say, her mind has gone mad and/or been corrupted. She’s not fully insane, however she dances on the very fine line between good/bad, light/dark, sanity/insanity etc.

        When in her child form, Yanmei shows along with the rest, a childlike stubbornness and mischievous attitude.

        Yanmei through years of dedication and her positive nature, quickly grew as a member of the 4th squad. She worried more for the well being of others then her own. For someone quite fairly skilled at the arts of healing and other kido. One of the reasons for such is because of her lack of shikai from the time she began a shinigami till now. Within the recent months Yanmei has begun to undercover her weapons true abilities. Her first time tapping into it terrified her. The power that coursed through her, as well as the strong dark like intent, seeped into her like venom. For a year, Yanmei didn't dare tap into it again.

        As a shinigami though, having a Shikai can be key to survival. Not wanting anyone to know of what she could do (for even herself didnt know). Mei-Mei did not wish to accidentally harm any others, so for the time being she decided to train her shikai in an isolatation. The deeper she got into it, the more she realized just what kind of power she was attempting to tamper with. Her spirit was not an easy one. The slightest of wavering in her disposition was enough for him to literally take over, doing as he very well pleased. Being in isolation proved to be a good call for training. Who knew what consequences would have followed.

        Year after year she followed the same system. Whenever she had the chance, she would train her Shikai in secret. The progress was slow and excruciating and even after five years her control and grasp over her abilities was fairly low. It was more so because of her spirits dominant personality and not due to lack of skill. On good days, she could get good training done, on bad days, it was a crisis between who was the real one in charge.

        Two years ago it became quite apparent just how dangerous her own abilities were, even if the intention was good.

        Called out to the field to assist some fallen shinigami, Yanmei found after a skillful diagnostics realized they were suffering some form of poisoning. The source was unknown, nor would she have the time to evaluate what it was. The speed at which it was progressing was deadly. By the time she had arrived and made her diagnostics, they only had minutes to live. No matter how good of a healer she was, she had neither the means nor time to bring them back with breath still in them. Failing at this was going to bring issues, people could judge her abilities as a healer... that thought scared her. Failing at the one thing she knew she was good at meant more then one could imagine.

        Quickly her mind processed all the possibilities, even the least likely of solutions. Only one thing seemed to be the key, her shikai. If what she knew of it was correct, she could alter time. Yanmei theorized that by taking the poison back it time she could kill it off. She had no choice, she had to try something. If she didn't she was probably going to be questioned on why she didn't try.

        Hesitant she called on her shikai... hesitation was her first mistake. Yongnian took advantage of such a weakness to do as he pleased. He did not enjoy one like her to use his gifts with such weakness in their heart. Rather then doing as she wanted, the time on the poison was sped forward. Time for them to live dwindled into nothing. Yanmei was there to see their last breathe. She had done her best to undo the ability but she could not change what was done.

        Yanmei's mind at that instant broke. The bridge between her and Yongnian dissipated into nothing. Even she herself would become confused as to who was being who for the next few moments to follow. When the woman would finally come too, she knew she was basically screwed. Or so that is what she convinced herself. Too ashamed to go home, she ran and kept on running.

        Until recently Yanmei remained in isolation working at every waking hour on her shikai until her control over it was near perfect. The bond between her and her spirit still iffy though.

        Zanpakutō Spirit | Yongnian is a spirit that takes the form of what would be considered by most mortals the "Grim Reaper" although less skeleton like. No one really knows what he looks like behind his mask, nor does Yanmei think she wants to know. He wears long lose like clothing along with a cape. His mask is simply white with two holes, however one does not see his eyes, only a black void. He commonly carries a scythe.
        Zanpakutō Inner World | Abyss is a world which is an endless maze, a maze that also changes depending on Yanmei's and Yongnian's state of emotions. It is a grasp of various memories shattered and broken into pieces giving a dark aspect to it. From time to time there are objects that would be from a child hood, or different phases of a life. It is thought, that some of these fragments are results from her human life however it is too broken down to ever make sense.

        Zanpakutō Activation Statement | Time heals all
        Zanpakutō Blade Changes | What once was a katana, shifts into a form of chain scythe. At first it will not appear to be a chain scythe, just a regular scythe (160 cm total in height) with two scythe blades on each end. The blades are smaller then a regular scythe reaching a length of 35 cm. There are slits and kinks ever cm within the staff of the scythe, basically acting as joints and connections within the chain parts. Her spirit energy is what holds it together or releases it. The total span of the chain plus both blades ends is 15 meters. (no image because I'm in the process of drawing it)
        Shikai Abilities
      • Eternal Years
        The basic of her shikai's abilities, Yanmei is able to shift her body through various "ages", in other words she can age herself, or go back in time. Different ages, or in other words bodies, have different pro's and con's to them. However by mixing them up in battle, she can achieve quite a bit of versatility. At the current time, it appears there are only two forms she can take on, her normal form an adult, and that of when she was a child.
        Adult: (Refer to rest of profile, her adult body is her normal body it has no changes)
        Child: Height: 125 cm || Weight: 27 kg
        Chidlren bodies have a tendency to hold high amount of energy. They are natural energetic creatures and that is what is portrayed in this child form, for when she was younger her energy was quite high. The size of her body in this state and with a constant energetic state, this form focuses mainly on speed and agility. This allows Yanmei to evade attacks not because of her swift nature as a child but as well as her small size. The smaller you are, the harder you can be to hit. However, the down side to this form is that like all children, they are vulnerable and therefor if attacked, she will take more damage then if she were in her adult form. This is the more fragile of the two forms.
        To be more precise the speed she has while an adult is doubled when in this form, however, her attack power is cut down in half in reference to adulthood.
        Limitations: Changes between both forms are basically instantaneous, however between each transformation she must wait 3 posts before changing again.
        *She can chose whether to remain in adult or child form when shutting of her shikai, or if taken to its limit will be stuck in whatever form she was in last until activated again
      • Water of Life
        Time can be both good or bad on a person, this ability focuses more so on the good aspect of time. More importantly it follows the concept of "time heals everything". Depending on what Yanmei wants she will either speed through time or reverse into it as a healing method or so, usually does. She can alter the effects so it rather then healing harms. This ability can be used on wounds of various kinds and infections (poisons, toxins etc). Yanmei must be in physical contact with her "patients" for these abilities to have any affect, if it not herself she using it on.
        > Infections: Initially Yanmei is able to prolong the time it takes for a poison/infection etc to kill its target, if not "kill" it out of the body completely. This is done by manipulating the time within these foreign bodies, by literally taking them back in time, in other words putting them within a more initial stage of their effects. Thus, it is "slowed" and more time is given before the final effects of such toxins take their final. If Yanmei is given enough time on the treatment she can actually "kill" off these toxins by taking them back to a stage in time where they cease to exist.
        1 post = doubles time necessary for toxin
        2 posts = complete removal of toxin (Yanmei has to be completely focuses in other words cannont do drastic movements)
        However... life can also be a b*** and doesn't always give you what you want or would like. If you aren't worthy it takes you away. If used on opponents, rather then healing, Yanmei will force the toxins to speed their effects by jumping them through time. Rather then doubling time, this reduces time left for final toxin effects to half.
        >Wounds: Focusing on the area solely with the wound, Yanmei forces the area to go "through" time, drastically speeding up the healing of wounds that otherwise would take quite a while.
        1 post = bleeding stops (internal included)
        2 post = Seals skin (in case of surface wounds, gashes etc.)
        3 post = Mends fracture/broken bones, punctured lungs etc.
        If interrupted the wounds wont be fully healed, but pain will be reduced and at least bleeding is stopped (depends on how much time she was healing)

      • Death's kiss
        Time just as it can heal wounds, can age the body, make it weaker. That is the aspect of this ability, weakening her opponent. In order to do so Yanmei targets the heart (chest area). Her shikai's powers will then seep into her opponents body ageing them for a temporary time. Once aged their speed and strength is reduced by half, as well as a slight change to their physical body. Such an effect takes time to settle in and requires physical contact with her opponent more then once, or with her weapon. The area targeted must always be chest or back. The first time her opponent is struck, the aging material will seep into their skin spreading peacefully. When touched a second time anywhere on the back/chest, is when the contamination in their body take affect, aging muscle cells. Unless cured, the effects will last a total of 4 posts.

        Description: The practitioner, using the index and middle fingers, generates an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns which, ensnaring the opponent as the tendril wraps around their body, immobilizes them. The end of it remains in the hands of the user, allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō can connect with another one of itself, if both have captured a target, and bind them together.

        Description: Creates a large rain cloud that the caster can move over a target, then disperse it to release a torrent of rain over a limited area for several minutes (3 posts).         Description: Crackling yellow energy gathers in the user's hand, who draws in triangle mid-air. The symbol creates solidified energy on the shape of smaller triangles from its three points and fires them at the intended target, pinning them to a nearby surface, slamming into his/her body in three places in the shape of a perfect triangle and immobilizing them.

        Description: Tsuriboshi is primarily used to catch. The spell creates a ball of blue energy that fires out six "ropes" from its center. The "ropes" attach themselves to any sturdy nearby object and the energy in the center solidifies into a flat elastic-like cushion. The spell can stop falling objects similar to a safety net.

        Description: Enkōsen is primarily used for defense. The practitioner can use either both hands or his/her Zanpakutō in a blocking motion. The spell generates a dull yellow energy, which takes the form of a large spinning disk of condensed reiatsu, in front of the practitioner, blocking an opponent's attack.

        Description: The target sees the illusion of purple cherry blossoms falling around them. As their vision begins to blur and become unfocused, their consciousness becomes muddled, disoriented, and confused. Shortly thereafter, the target blacks out altogether, losing consciousness, only to awaken with an unclear memory of what occurred.

        Incantation: "Tundra and glacier spread forth into the air, in the realm of white night!"
        Description: This Kidō causes all moisture near the earth's surface to instantly freeze, causing jagged pillars of ice to jut up from the ground. The slightest touch by any spike or even the ground itself will result in the target being frozen to it, binding them to the ice until they can tear themselves free.


        Spell Name: Kakushitsuijaku (摑趾追雀, Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows)

        Incantation: "Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain."
        Description: Kakushitsuijaku heightens the user's senses and awareness to seize a target. The practitioner draws a circle, with the appropriate symbols set apart in four quadrants upon the ground, using a black powder. When they place their hands palms down just under the circle to activate the spell, the circle glows with a blue light as the symbols within the circle are animated, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.

        Description: The practitioner generates an electric current through any object they touch, which damages anything or anyone which is in contact with the object the current runs through.

        Description: The practitioner channels volatile reiryoku through an object that they touch, causing to to ignite along its surface and create a large explosion just after.

        Description: A relatively simple Hadō that covers the caster's fist in Reiryoku, allowing for added force behind a punch. Relatively speaking, it can allow a Shinigami with human-level strength to dent iron and makes their fist feel like an iron mass. Like other Hadō, it does not last long, only hardening the fist to give enough time to punch.


        Spell Name: Gurenbachi (紅蓮蜂, Crimson Bees)

        Incantation: "Gather, spirits of flame. Ride the westward wind, show them your fury."
        Description: The user flings their hand, summoning forth a surge of fire that splits into a dozen wasp-like projectiles that detonate, causing explosions large enough to engulf a person.


        Spell Name: Shakkahō (赤火砲, Red Fire Cannon)
        Number: 31
        Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"
        Description: The user, generating high-temperature flames, discharges it from both hands or the finger, in the form of an orb (small, medium, or large depending on the power used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy. In both instances, the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage.


        Spell Name: Ōkasen (黄火閃, Yellow Fire Flash)

        Incantation: Unknown
        Description: The practitioner, raising their Zanpakutō horizontally in front of them, generates a yellow orb which widens itself along the length of their sword. Once it is fully charged, it fires outward as a horizontal blast, in a wide arc of yellow energy, at the target. This technique can be launched from the hand instead of a Zanpakutō, albeit producing a shorter arc.


        Spell Name: Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down)

        Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws."
        Description: The practitioner, aiming the palm of their hand at the target, generates a torrent of blue spiritual energy and fires it at their target. The energy moves like a direct blast or a large wave of energy, depending on the amount of power placed into it.

        Description: This Kidō is used to heal cuts. Does absolutely nothing for internal. It's performed by simply passing over the cut with your palm, while concentrating an appropriate amount of spiritual energy in it.         Description: In this Kidō the caster puts their hand on the patients back and says the spell. Then the poison in the patient body gets transferred to the healer’s body and winds up storing itself into their mouth. So in small terms, the poison transfers from the patient to the healer’s mouth where they can just spit it out... or onto someone. Despite the low number, and the low amount of energy required, this can be a demanding technique since it requires the caster's full attention as to not poison himself.

        Description: The user of this technique holds their hands over the victim's wounds, which begin to glow green with spiritual energy to facilitate healing. The mechanics of this healing technique involves the replenishment of the patient's Reiatsu first, then using the body's Reiatsu with the healer's Reiatsu in order to heal the patient's body.

        Shinigami Abilities


        Zanjutsu | Yanmei has average strength, but that is not always what's important when it comes to battle. Precision can been the difference between life and death. As a medic, Yanmei needs to have steady hands, as well as know quite well where she is cutting into, such concepts she applies to her style with her blade. She does not go for movements that require extreme force but yes, precision in movements. Yanmei will either attempt trapping her opponents in some form or another (leading to an attack) or aim for areas in the body that will cause most damage to important organs.
        Hakuda | Yanmei is not exceptionally strong, nor is she exceptionally swift either (unless in child form). When forced to fight with no weapons, she relies on a tactic that involves being evasive, using her owns opponents energy against them. Her main objective is not causing extreme harm but rather, hitting key areas that with the lightest of touches can render her opponent helpless. Pressure points. As a "medic" she is well aware of how body works, its weak and strong points, giving her an edge in using such a tactic.
