Chill air blew the unicorn stallions winter coat so that it stuck up in an untidy manner, though Amon hardly noticed, focussed as he was on the few blank pages left in the massive book he hauled about. It was his treasure, holding all of his adventures, amplified by the tales he weaved into them. Inspiration struck and too quickly he turned the pages back to re-read the previous story when a few pages were worked loose by his rifling and the wind grabed at them and tugged them down to the wintery beach. "Blasted wind!" His voice echoed out to no one in particular as he made to follow the wayward pages before the teasing wind decided to dump them in the icy waters. Cursing as they danced just out of his reach and sometimes out of his sight entirely. It was times like these he found having only the use of one eye rather a neusance.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The young mare was out wandering again and there was no question about it. She was bored. Completely bored and without a friend or anyone able to be close to her, she was at a loss. She flicked her tail feeling the wind sweep by blowing her jet black locks from around her neck and ruffling the feathers on her head. She knew she was hungry, but that would come later when she wasn’t trying to figure out what to do with herself. She sighed and walked further digging her talons into the soft soil before stopping in her tracks at the sight of the stallion close by. She always felt uneasy around stallions. She couldn’t explain why, but she just did. Maybe it was because she felt they always had some kind of ulterior motive or something they wanted from you. She let out a low growl as she slowly approached him feeling the hairs on the back of her neck slowly rise up. She didn’t know what to say at first since a simple hello would be rather..dull and plain. So she kept quiet and gave him a look over. He wasn’t threatening at all so the low growl in her throat completely went to silence. “Hello.” She decided the plain and dull route was the best way to go for the moment. Though she didn’t know what to say after.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Amon had to pause in his chase for the pages when unfamiliar foot falls met his ears. He had to turn his head fully to be able to see his new company. What his vivid green eye landed upon wasn't anything like what he had expected. Both eyes grew wide in pleasant surprise at the white equine creature before him. He couldn't think of anything he'd seen similar to her before. A welcoming grin, perhaps a little shy, appeared on his face, causing his scar to crinkle. "Hi."
-------------------------------------------------------------
Chosovi didn’t know what to make of this strange creature in front of her with a long tail that resembled those rare Kirins that she heard about from her grandfather. “What brings you out on a rather chilly day like this?” She was going to be as pleasant as she could before her hunger took over. “I’m not going to eat you either…most think I will and I never understand that. I guess I look a little too threatening.” She explained to the stallion flicking her fluffy tail behind her and examining the stallion a little more. He was different. Something she hadn’t met before and she was rather curious of how he broke his horn. It was something she rarely saw and thought it had to be from a great battle or something even his scars interested her. “So are you some kind of warrior or something? A broken horn and scars all over…you seem a little battered up.” She told him snorting and looking away. Her light grayish blue eyes growing bored of the landscape before falling on him once more. They were almost piercing into his soul and she was sure he could feel it.
“My name is Chosovi by the way, but you can call me Cho or Sovi. I guess it depends on what you prefer more.” She told him flicking her tail again. There was something interesting about this stallion, but she didn’t know what it was just yet.

Amon's eyes were alight with curiosity over this peculiar mare. His long tail swished behind him, sweeping the ground in long motions, but his attention was fully on this curious mare. "Oh!" His ears perked forward and he tilted his head slightly. " Curious, the thought hadn't crossed my mind." Amon blushed when she mentioned his scars and horn, but excitement coursed through him. "Its not nearly as daring as it sounds....Chosovi...its a beautiful name." He smiled encouragingly. "I'm afraid I've lost my pages by now, but would you like to hear the story? Its quite exciting!" His glasses slipped down the bridge of his nose as he looked at her hopefully.
-------------------------------------------------------------
A story? She hadn’t heard a story since she was a foal and honestly it wouldn’t be a bad thing. She wasn’t doing much anyway at the moment. “Thank you..I suppose. A name is a name though. Nothing more and nothing less. What is your name?” She asked tilting her head to the side, a trait her grandfather possessed. “A story..hrm..I haven’t heard one in a very long time. I wouldn’t mind hearing it though.” She shrugged her shoulders unsure of what to expect from the story and if she would have questions afterwards. “Let’s walk and talk..I hate being in one place and I need to start looking for food anyway. I hope you don’t mind me eating flesh.” Her gray eyes glanced over him to see if maybe he was put off by her words, but it didn’t seem that way at all. She began to walk away from him. It was strange for her to even want company, but with a story in mind she could live with being around him a little longer. She felt a little like a foal again listening to stories from her grandfather. That was probably why she could listen to this stallion. He was going to tell her a story and it was one of the things she loved hearing.
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Amon Murray, miss, at your service!" He gives an over exaggerated bow, and a playful grin on his marred face. Straightening, he is eager to walk with her, growing ever more curious about her habits by the moment. He reigns in his questions though, hopefully there would be time after his tale. Amon keeps to her side to best see her with his good eye, to gauge her reactions to his story. Understandingly he nods to her comment about finding food, then asks a question before he can stop. "Do...do you prefer mamals or fish?" Grinning, he dips his head. "My apologies, you just...well to be frank, you fascinate me." Awkwardly he cleared his throat. "But..ah my story! You'll never believe it!" And he plunged into the spinning tale of how he ventured out into the world and had the misfortune of being ambushed by a band of Kalona. "That was the first time I had ever seen a kalona, it was also when I discovered I had a way with words. You see, I convinced the Kalona that they should let me live...and I was taken prisoner."
-------------------------------------------------------------
The mare clicked her teeth together as she watched him seeing he was very animated. Yes, that would be a good word for him at the moment. He really was an animated stallion. One that she couldn’t really find words to describe. “Mammals. I haven’t had any fish though. I wouldn’t know how to catch one, but you just peeked my interest with it.” She told him flicking her tail again showing mild interest in the stallion right now, which was a good thing. She never found interest in anyway and when she did, they turned out to hate her for reasons she couldn’t control. “I fascinate you? How?” She didn’t understand his fascination. She kept the same expression with everyone so it wasn’t her personality. It probably was her looks. Everyone wanted to know about her features and she didn’t know why. “You convinced a kalona to let you live? That is a hard task since I have heard kalona are pretty vicious. I met one when I was a foal and she was…well rather friendly. Was this kalona mean and a brute? I’m guessing they were by the scars.” She said to him finding herself getting very interested in his tale of woe. “I want adventure like that. I have yet to find it, but it’s something that intrigues me.” She said to him and sadly never got the chance to do much other then explore her homeland.

Amon blushed, wishing he'd of caught his toungue before he'd said anything. "Well...I hope you don't find me out of line, Chosovi, the last thing I dream of doing is causing you discomfort...though I seemed to have managed it any ways. I apologize, its just, well I've never met a creature quite like yourself." Amon grinned. "I did indeed talk them into letting me live. It wasn't easy though." And he dived into telling her about becoming their nightly entertainment. When they hadn't wanted stories, he became their personal bashing toy. "On a particularly roudy night, their herd leader was furious over their lost kill." He winked at her with his blind eye. "I got this initially, but its as bad as it is because she re-opened the wound there." He shuddered, remembering the pain of it, though he quickly replaced it with a grin. "Exploring the unknown is what I live for, its how I create my stories! I love meeting others and telling them my tales." He nodded his head to his own words. "Its the young ones who soak it up like sponges! And to watch them reinact it! Its energizing."
-------------------------------------------------------------
Chosovi knew she was some rare creature or something, but she didn’t think she would amaze anyone with her features. She didn’t see much fascination in herself even though she loved herself and who she was, she didn’t really..like being herself sometimes. She had been hated before and rejected just because of what she was---Harpy blooded. There was nothing she could do about that and it was time for others to see past that even herself. She would never show it or talk about it, but she had doubts due to that genetic factor in her life. “Ah I see. I never really had anyone interested in me before. No that is a lie..there were others, but I haven’t seen them since.” She shrugged her shoulders wondering if this stallion was going to vanish away like all the rest after they talked or whatever. “That definitely is quite a feat indeed. I’m shocked you left out of there alive.” She snorted finding slight amusement in his tale even if she didn’t laugh.
He went on adventures and saw the world. This was something she wanted to do so that she had stories to tell her twin sister and her family. She felt like she had a bigger purpose. “I would like to adventure as much as you. See the world and all that crap, but I have such a tight nit family I don’t know what they would do if I wandered away for days, weeks, or months at a time. My mother would probably go insane or something.” She told him thinking about the possibilities as they walked slowly over the lush plains. “My dream is to become an assassin, but..I have no one around to really train me or mentor me. I guess I could teach myself, but it will take a very long time.” She nodded looking over at the stallion with a deadpan expression. It was something that the entire family seemed to carry. “Do you have any family?” This stallion looked a little on the old side, so he must have kids or even grandkids waiting for him at home. After all he seemed like the type that would have a bunch of kids.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Amon eyed her curiously, then smiled. "Truthfully, I grew up around other unicorns, it wasn't until I decided to venture from my herd that I met other variations of equines." At her remark of him getting out alive, his smile faded slightly. "Ah, you see, thats where I start getting a bit less interesting." He chuckles, almost darkly as he continues. "I was so weak, they constantly tried making me eat as they do, and it made me violently ill to do so. Eventually I was just a shell of the stallion I had been, and they left me for dead." Curiously, he perked back up, tossing a grin her way. "That was their mistake though! A very kind medicine woman found and cared for my injuries. I feel awful, but I barley recall her. In my memories of her, she's more of a...spirit." He flicked his tail to the side, "I suppose to you that might sound silly."
Amon paused to look Chosovi over a moment, then nodded at her confession. "An assassin?! How exciting!" An excited glint shone in his eye, his brain already spinning the tale of a mysterious lady assassin. His thoughts reined themselves in at her next question, and he smiled softly. "Ah. I'd like to think everyone I meet is a little bit of my family, but I know thats not what you mean." He shook his head whistfully. "I left my parents and their sanctuary to explore the lands outside. I like to think they still live peacefully, but I havent returned for many years."
-------------------------------------------------------------
What he said seemed like the truth. She grew up around mostly Cerynei, unicorns, and Kirin so she could actually share similarities to what. “I kind of grew up in the same environment though I had Cerynei and Kirin around as well.” She nodded at the stallion still wondering why she was so fascinated by him. “A spirit? Like a guardian angel kind of thing?” She asked him before letting out a small snort as the sound of her teeth clicking together filled the air. She didn’t know why she did it other then for pure habit or just because she was nervous. Maybe it was something else though. “Actually I don’t think you sound silly at all. As weird as it sounds, my family is a very spiritual one. My grandfather can even see them and interact with them. So don’t worry..I don’t think your crazy and I believe you.” She nodded feeling as though there probably was a spirit watching over him that day. “I had a similar experience where I was nearly killed by a pack of wolves. A stallion helped me and I got better, but I feel like something drew him to me.” She knew if this was anyone else she would probably sound nuts or be laughed at. But nope. He had a similar experience so she felt fine sharing hers with him.
His excitement of her words only made her snort again. “Yes I suppose it’s exciting. But it’s going nowhere at the moment.” She told him before hearing him speak about family and his parents. “I don’t really consider anyone outside of my family to be actual family. Too many individuals use you or two face you. Heh..I can’t believe I stayed around you this long. Maybe I’m feeling a little under the weather today.” She mumbled to the stallion still not sure why she was sticking with him. Maybe she was softening up a little too much for her liking. “So I’m guessing you already have a story in mind for me? Am I right? You seem like the type to spin stories out of anything. We have a few of those like you in my family herd. None as exciting though..I guess because they lack emotion when telling them.” She shrugged continuing on their way across the field.

Amon grinned when she told him of her spiritual family. Enjoying their conversation greatly."Your grandfather sounds immensely interesting. What a gift to behold." He let his mind wonder about her family for a moment, before her next words made him look at her with concern. "That must have been such a terrifying experience for you, I'm sorry."
Amon regarded her next words and nodded slowly, "I suppose I see your point, but then I never know anyone long enough to be around for when...or even if they decide to mar my name." He grins then, "So I suppose I more of have a lot of acquaintances." His ears perk at her next coment and he tilts his head, his brow furrowed. "I don't mean to be an inconvenince Chosovi, would you prefer I leave you to your own devices now?" His hoof beats made an odd rythm with her talloned feet, one he was growing to like. However, he did not wish to press himself on her, if his company had outlasted his welcome.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone seemed to be amazed at her grandfather. Even she was and didn’t even understand how he acquired such a gift. “He is. If you have a loved one that has passed on, he will help you find their soul and speak to them. He has helped a lot of individuals move on and find peace.” She told him thinking that Hania Shen should be put up on a pedestal and worshipped sometimes thought she was sure he wouldn’t like something like that. “It was, but I survived. If I didn’t have these claws I don’t think I would have made it out alive.” She nodded at the large stallion finding a sort of calming tranquility fall on her.
Acquaintances were something Chosovi was use to. It was something that pretty much everyone was to her except for her family. “I only have acquaintances. No friends and only family.” She shrugged flicking her tail behind herself as she looked over at the stallion once more. “No your fine. I’m not use to be around the company of others and your stories interest me..I just..” She paused with her words looking out into the distance wondering if there was something she could eat. Just a little something to snack on that wouldn’t scare this big ol’ oaf away. Then her stomach growled causing her to give a low huff sound from her muzzle. “I’m hungry and I only eat meat so..I’m going to have to hunt soon or I will just get weaker.” She told him knowing he wouldn’t be too freaked out since he was through a pretty bad ordeal with Kalona in his lifetime. “Do you have any other interesting stories?” She asked forgetting her hunger for the moment.
“You wouldn’t believe some of the things I have been through already in my life.” She rolled her eyes remembering some of the more unpleasant meetings she had faced thus far.
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Aquaintances...no friends." Lightly, with a teasing smile, he nudged her with his velvet nose. "We sure are a pair, arent we?" He chuckled softly as they continued and he smiled at her eagerness for more stories. "I do, indded have other tales. Many much more magnificent than the one I already related." He looked over to her again and shook his head. "But I'll not pretend I didn't hear you talking of needing food. How about I relay you a tale...after you have found and eaten your lunch. Stories are hardly enjoyable on an empty, complaining stomach."
-------------------------------------------------------------
The young mare didn’t know what to make of this pairing or friendship whatever you wanted to call it really. She just liked to hear him tell his stories and wondered if there was any other just as interesting as the last. “Yes we are. I guess we aren’t acceptable to be around others.” She sneered at the thought with her muzzle curling up a little bit to reveal her bright shiny fangs as she emitted a growl from her throat. Talking about that stuff made her angry and even if she was filled with anger or hate a lot of the time, she just wanted to have one good friend in her life that wasn’t related to her. “Fine fine. I guess I can wait a little longer.” She told him as she walked in a different direction to him, looking back for a moment and shaking her head. “So where should I meet you again?” She didn’t know if they would meet up again on the same day or on a different one, but she didn’t mind. She felt like this could be the start of an actual friendship. Something she wasn’t fond of, but she was going to give this stallion some kind of a try.
“I’m going to go hunt and then I will come find you wherever you are. I don’t think it will be hard to miss an old man like you.” She said dead staring at him before looking away into the distance smelling the soft scent of an animal near by. “If we meet again maybe we could go on an adventure together..But don’t think of this as anything more then you peeking my adventurous spirit. I still don’t trust you yet.” She said to him and it was true. She didn’t trust him and didn’t know when she would. She took another step forward flicking her tail and looking back to Amon for his answers.

Amon chuckled at her words. It was true he probably trusted too easy, given his experiences, it was probably surprising that he did so. The brief insight made him pause, but only for a moment."You know, I've been frequenting this bit of beach quite often." He eyed her with his good eye, though both crinkled in a smile. "How about if I stay, untill we meet again, Miss Chosovi?" He dipped his head in a bow, then straightened. "I'd be delighted to share in an adventure with you."
-------------------------------------------------------------
Chosovi didn’t know if the stallion was telling her the truth or not, but when she came back this way she would see if he was there waiting like he had said. She wasn’t going to hold her breath and hope he was there because everyone had a life. She wasn’t important to him and he wasn’t important to her. They were pretty much strangers that just happened to have a long walk together. “Fine, but if your not here..I won’t go looking for you. After all you’re not that important to me.” She shrugged her shoulders walking away from the entire area. She was being honest even if it would hurt his feelings, she didn’t like to give anyone false hope. What would be the point of doing that? “Seeya around Amon.” She flicked her tail and with a push of her hind legs, she sprinted at incredible speed into the darkening woods. She was going to eat and then go find him at her own leisure. But she couldn’t help the feeling deep within her that wanted to hear more of his stories. She was far too fascinated to simply let him be another acquaintance.
