 Gormlaith's Kobold900/900 vs.  Erika's Virgilia800/800 +100 ATK Quote: You will make an introductory post and roll a 100-sided dice during your introductory post. This post is basically you walking onto the stage once more with your Pokemon in a Pokeball or next to you. Then your opponent will do likewise, also rolling a 100-sided dice. Person with the highest roll goes first. HP/Attack bonuses count if your Pokemon has them. Pokemon that cannot evolve any further have 1000 HP. Pokemon that can evolve one more time have 900 HP. Pokemon that can evolve two more times have 800 HP. Now for every attack post, you roll one 6-sided dice which will let your opponent know how to react to your post. 1 = your attack misses, 2-5 = your attack hits for 100 damage, 6 = your attack hits for 200 damage. Even stuff that normally does not do damage - such as growl - will do a kind of unseen damage in that it will hurt your opponent's dignity or whatnot. Super effective/resistance/immunity/whatever do not count. Although please don't say you punch a Ghost Pokemon in the face. That's just not elegant - try to make all attacks seem reasonable and keep beauty/grace/cuteness/etc in mind. Also try to humiliate your opponent if possible - you are making your own Pokemon look good and your opponent's Pokemon look bad! At the end of every post, please include your Pokemon's HP. After 5 posts from both sides (10 posts in total not including the intro posts), time will be called and the battle will end regardless of if a Pokemon has fainted or not. You will be scored on both how much damage you have done, your general performance throughout the battle (so RP your best!), and your creativity throughout the battle. A response post from each side after the 10 damage posts in response to a KO or finished time is allowed to bring the battle to a culmination. Judges will post shortly after to let you know who won. If you do not make a post within 24 hours (subjected to change) of your opponent's last post, you are automatically disqualified and your opponent wins the battle. We will then alert you of your next battle.

Thankfully, one quick trip to the pokemon center was all it required to get Virgilia back on her feet after her last battle. Erika looked down at the lopunny to her side. "Ya sure you're good to fight this match? We don't have to do it if ya don't feel up to it." Virgilia nodded. She wanted to see this through.
A fair bit away, Jeanne looked on, worry painted on her face. "Are you sure you're okay, Virgilia? You took a lot of damage from that fight, and you aren't as healthy as you used to be!"
Virgilia merely smiled. "I'm sure, Jeanne, and I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine. I promise, so, please, don't worry." The raichu relaxed a little, but the worry refused to fully subsist.
Erika turned to the two and grinned. "Well, no time to worry about it, let's go." Stepping over to the raichu, Virgilia placed a soothing hand on Jeanne's shoulder before turning to go out onto the stage with Erika. The lopunny curtsied before the crowd and prepared for battle.

Gormlaith was pleasantly surprised to find out that Kobold had made it to the next round. She gave him a quick pat on the head before returning him to his pokeball. She quickly got him healed up and prepared for the battle. Hearing the announcers call her name she walked out onto the stage and waved to the crowd. "Let's do this Kobold!" She called out while tossing her pokeball up. He appeared again in a puff of smoke but this time he didn't do a somersault. He simply just landed and looked at the Lopunny.

Gormlaith saw that they got the first move. She thought for a moment. She didn't want to do the same thing as last time and she wanted to showcase Kobold. "Do a delay attack!" She called out. The cue was for a combo.
Kobold inched forward but made sure to keep enough distance between him and Virgilia. He shot some string at her making it wrap around her. Before the string completely wrapped around her, he shot an Ember at the loose end. The fire raced up the string and would soon reach the Lopunny.

The flames licked at Virgilia, singing her fur, and the lopunny hopped back, creating some distance between herself and the larvesta. Erika murmured quietly to herself before calling out a command. "Start things slow - use Quick Attack!" Ignoring the inherent irony of the statement, Virgilia did as ordered, launching forward from a runner's position and delivering a series of quick strikes. Gormlaith was happy to see the combo go off so well. Hearing the attack call she quickly made a decision. "Take to the sky! Rain fire upon her!" She called out. Kobold quickly shot fire out of his horns lifting off. He narrowly missed the first strike. Once he was high enough he began shooting flames at her. The fire burned Virgilia, and she leapt up at the larvesta. Erika shrugged as the lopunny spun around in mid-air to deliver a crushing kick. "Eh, I think she can figure things out on her own." The officer crossed her arms and settled back to watch the show like everyone else.

Gormlaith frowned when she saw the Lopunny jump up. "Make a shield!" She called out.
Kobold drew back some in the air but that wasn't why he wasn't kicked. He had called up a golden shield in front of him. It protected him from the kick. However the kick was powerful enough to shatter the light shield and little golden fragments rained down on the stage before disappearing.

Virgilia fell to the ground as the shards shattered around her. Landing, she rocketed off at the larvesta and sank low, spinning around to kick

Gormlaith thought hard how to turn this around. Their opponent was using physical attacks and not doing anything really showy. Seeing the Lopunny spin gave her an idea. "Wrap her up!" She called
Kobold was knocked back when Virgilia kicked him. Before she stopped spinning he shot some string at her. Now with her spinning she would wrap herself up with the string. He ended up landing on the ground as he had stopped shooting fire out of his horns. He stood up on the end of his tail and continued to shoot string.

Virgilia's legs were wrapped up by the string, and she struggled against the string, but she was too weak to break it. Pushing herself up, she did a hand stand and rushed at Kobold, refusing to stop. She knew Jeanne was watching, and refused to worry her if she could help it.

Gormlaith certainly wasn't expecting the Lopunny to rush at Kobold while doing a hand stand. "Wall of Fire Kobold!" She called out. That would help protect him and do a bit of showing off.
Kobold also wasn't expecting the attack. He backed up but it didn't do much good. He was still hit. To keep her from hitting him repeated he created a wall of light between them. Then he shot fire at it and soon it was a wall of fire burning brightly between them.

The flames burned the string off, and she hopped to her feet, breathing heavily. Clapping her hands together, she whispered quietly to herself, and sparkling shards began to descend from the air. Taking a runner's position, Virgilia blasted off around the room before jumping into the air and spinning around, kicking shard after shard at Kobold in a final effort.

Kobold could only curl up into a ball as the shards were kicked at him. Fortunately the buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the battle. He uncurled himself and inched his way to his trainer.
Gormlaith was slightly impressed by the grand finale her opponent did. It was fortunate that the match ended when it did. She gave Kobold a pat on the head and then waved to the crowd. She then returned him and walked off stage.

Virgilia began to walk back to Erika and Jeanne, but the world swam before her. As she fell, Jeanne rushed forward with blinding speed, catching her before she could hit the ground.
Virgilia looked up at Jeanne with foggy eyes, her strength completely sapped. "Was it.... entertaining...?"
The raichu nodded and gave a smile despite the tears in her eyes. "It was, Virgilia. You did very well."
A tear fell down onto the lopunny's cheek. "Then why are you crying, Jeanne...?"
"I don't like seeing you hurt, Virgilia. I'm supposed to protect you now, but I had to look on helplessly as you were hit over and over. I'm sorry, but it's too much...!"
Virgilia looked to the side, smiling softly. "I'm sorry. And thank you."
Erika walked up and gave them a grin. "Ya kicked a**. Let's go get ya healed up, yeah?" The officer returned both pokemon to their pokeballs and left.
