Clover paced the halls of Ouran, waiting for Shiny to arrive. He owed her big time for having completely tuned out her offer of a dance during Honey's party, and he thought that taking her out would be the best way to eliminate any hard feelings. After school, he decided to stay late and look for the shimmering hostess to ask her to get dinner with him. I hope I'm not too late... he thought as he walked.

Clover Houraisan Clover paced the halls of Ouran, waiting for Shiny to arrive. He owed her big time for having completely tuned out her offer of a dance during Honey's party, and he thought that taking her out would be the best way to eliminate any hard feelings. After school, he decided to stay late and look for the shimmering hostess to ask her to get dinner with him. I hope I'm not too late... he thought as he walked. Clover was in luck. As it happened, Shiny had opted to leave her bookbag in the music room during ballet practice, and now that she was finished she made her way back to grab it. Seeing the young man pacing the hall as she approached the club had her pausing in surprise, though a warm smile appeared as she walked up to him. "Hello, Clover-kun. You seem... worried, is there something the matter?"

"Shiny!" he nearly fell over. "I didn't expect to see you here. Anyway, I realized that I completely tuned out your offer of a dance sometime during Honey's party, and I'm really sorry for that. I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner with me tonight. I'll pay."

Clover Houraisan "Shiny!" he nearly fell over. "I didn't expect to see you here. Anyway, I realized that I completely tuned out your offer of a dance sometime during Honey's party, and I'm really sorry for that. I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner with me tonight. I'll pay." The apology came as something of a surprise to her, let alone the offer of dinner. She was aware that most of their guests had a decided preference for the male hosts, and as a result of that tended to consider herself "supporting cast". A sly, playful smile soon replaced her surprise, however. "Why Clover, are you asking me out on a... date?"

"My answer is yes, dinner sounds lovely. Let me just get my bag, and we can be off, oui?" She slipped into the music room, quickly heading to the back area where she had left her book bag and coming back out a minute later. "There, all set. Now then, did you have anywhere particular in mind? I do most of my own cooking, so I am not familiar with what places are good."

"I see... Umm... Do you want to try this Japanese restaurant near the school? It's called Juurou Mura, and I've read some pretty promising reviews of it." Clover said, relieved that she was just kidding around.

Clover Houraisan "I see... Umm... Do you want to try this Japanese restaurant near the school? It's called Juurou Mura, and I've read some pretty promising reviews of it." Clover said, relieved that she was just kidding around. "Sure, that sounds lovely." Smiling as she gestured for him to lead the way.

Clover walked with Shiny out of the school. He looked up the restaurant on his phone and found directions to it. "So, I've heard you speak French several times in the host club. Did you move from France? If so, what's it like there? I've always wanted to go to France someday." Clover asked.

Did you move from France? If so, what's it like there? I've always wanted to go to France someday." Clover asked. "My family's seat is in Calais, which is a coastal city in the northernmost region of France. It is very different in the north than it is in Paris, or in the warmer southern regions, mostly because many of the towns have gone back and forth between being controlled by France, and being under German rule over the ages." (Are they walking to the restaurant, or driving?)

He wasn't a huge history buff like Shiny seemed to be, but her story interested him. "Some, yes. You can tell in many areas by the way people speak. My accent, for example, is very different than what a Parisian sounds like." It took her a moment to realized that they were walking much father than would be normal for meeting up with a driver, and she glanced around in surprise to find they had in fact completely left the campus. "Oh! I didn't know - you said close by, I hadn't realized you meant we were walking." She'd have left her duffel and her bookbag at school if she had!

"In terms of socioeconomic standing, I think I'm only slightly richer than the average 'commoner', as Tamaki and some of the others say. Not that the term offends me, which it doesn't."

I live alone as well." Though she opted not to say anything about her own monetary situation, not wanting to make things awkward. "I find I prefer being able to take care of myself, actually, and it gives me an appreciation for those commoners, as others at Ouran would say." She shifted her bag to her other shoulder, the weight starting to feel a bit hefty.
