Kanika and George peeked over the edge of the stairwell at the second, abandoned floor of the warehouse. All sorts of dim dusty shapes could be seen in light filtering through dirty windows. The huge second floor space of the warehouse was long abandoned, and used mostly for storage. It was largely open area piled high with boxes and debris, save a few side rooms that once had been offices, and a balcony that looked down at the communal first floor area. Kanika grinned, thrilling at all the unexplored territory before them. This was the perfect adventuring place! It was like discovering a lost world...
At the base of the stairway on the first floor, the little demon had left a rolled paper half shoved into a soda can. She darted back down the stairs, and kicked it down the hallway. It careened and bounced loudly, settling halfway between down the hallway that connected this stairwell to the main floor hang out. On it she had scrawled a little map with finger paints and a claw. The map in the bottle floated away on the waves of the sea, the adventurers might never see it again... or if anyone would dare follow the map...She thought looking at the can, then turned and pounced back up the stairway. There are no signs of life on this deserted jungle island George.. sending the thought to the dog, Kanika set a dainty paw onto the dusty cement floor and stepped up into the unkempt storage area. The explorers made their way out of the sea, their boat destroyed on the rocks below... they were lucky to be alive. Shaking her whole body, Kanika imagined sea water flinging from her mane. George yapped and shook himself too, then promptly began sniffing around the space in little circles excitedly.
Good idea George, we must explore!!!

Cataya saw movement on the stairs to the second floor, and stares up there. For a long moment, she ponders, then runs over to them. She stares at the giant things, her small body shorter then a single step. After glaring and muttering, she manages to work out a way to begin to climb them. It felt like forever for the mini girl to get to the top, and she gives a DEEP sigh, and flops down, for a long moment, to catch her breath. For the first time, the energetic CatCat was out of energy!
After catching her breath, she pulls herself back up and looks around, trying to see who it was that had come up here. "Helloooooooooo?" She calls out, her eyes excited. New friends time!

Akamai had found himself a quiet, dark place to nap away from the hubbub of the warehouse. Well, quiet until he heard the faint sounds of a can bouncing down distant stairs. He blinked, lifted his head and a few moments later heard the sounds of others up here with him. He sighed and pondered whether to go back to sleep, or possibly...discourage the invaders of his peace and quiet...

George yapped suddenly and gleefully bounded over to the stairs they had arrived from. Kanika stopped mid step and looked back. Another child-demon had emerged, a teeny tiny one she'd never seen around before! YAY! More crew members survived the ship wreck! Giving a little giggle, she immediately scrambled back to the new arrival and stared at her, giving her tail a little wag, mimicking George. The dog nosed around the winged child curiously before deciding she was safe and wandering off again.
You gonna splore this spoookey island with us, adventurefriend? Kanika pushed the thought at the other child, gently, hoping she wont freak out as some do when she "talks" to them. Oh... Im Kanika...! She tried to contain her excitement, leaning back and forth from paw to paw.

Cataya froze at the yapping, a new noise to her, then giggled gleefully as the dog comes over. "Hi Puppy! Hiiiiii!" She then beamed at the other girl at her approach, giggling as the dog nosed her. It tickled, and her tail wiggled around happily.
When Kanika sent the thoughts at Cataya, Cataya blinked in surprise. She'd never had this happen before, it was new! After a long moment of staring curiously, she suddenly giggled as the MEANING hit her. "I CatCat! Yes Splore. Splore fun, new friend! I like splore." She paused, and pondered, then added, in a slightly embarrassed voice, "What 'spooky'? I not know."
She paused and saw a yellow head lift up. "OOO. More friend! Mooore! HI YELLOW! Hi!"

Akamai regretted even looking up; he heard the loud voice call towards where he was and ducked his head back down, before he skittered backwards behind some boxes, and aimed for one of the few office rooms up here. So much for his nap!

An old desk sat on one side of the old office. File cabinets with drawers hanging open stood facing the dusty desk. On the floor by the cabinets sat a young demon, not quite an adult yet, but no longer a baby, contentedly ripping sheets of paper into shreds.
A clattering out in the warehouse stopped his ripping. Paper hanging from his mouth, Pente crept to the office door and peered outside. His green eyes widened to see demon babies and.. a dog? He thought he'd had the warehouse to himself. Darn kids, he thought.

Excited, Kanika wiggled and did a little happy dance, feeding off the glee of the green demon. The more adventurers the merrier for sure! The other's question about spookey made her tilt her head though... how would she describe that... all she could think of was pictures of scary things in her head! Like Sully when George peed on his paperwork...
The shouts startled her from the images in her mind and she looked in the direction Cat was shouting, eyes widening. She herself saw nothing, but... that must mean... there was natives on this island!!
"Ssssss!" Kanika hissed a little shushing sound, and dove for the nearest pile of boxes to hide behind for cover. Natives of the island...what if they camibals? They might eat us! She thought to her group of explorers, then realized she didn't even know where George had wandered to, and the girl had already given their position away!

Pente watched from around the door frame, idly chewing on the paper in his mouth. He had no idea what the tiny demon was yelling at, but his ears perked up when the pale-colored girl dashed under a pile of boxes. Game? he thought. Hide and seek? It'd been ages since he'd had anyone to play games with. He watched to see what would happen next.

Akamai's skitter turned into a slide as he scrabbled into one of the office rooms. He never saw the rainbow face peeking around the doorframe of the one next to his, but once he stopped, he listened and heard...munching? Gah...he supposed he wasn't the only one who'd found this nice quiet area after all. He paused a moment, and peered around his own doorframe to see who had already been up here with him, hoping the louder bunch didn't see him again.

Pente's attention was pulled from the commotion by the stairs by nails skittering across the floor. He glanced towards the office next to the one he was occupying just in time to see a white-starred butt and yellow tail disappear through the doorway.
Curiousity getting the better of him, Pente slinked around the doorframe and crept along the wall. Just as he was about to peek into the doorway, a brown haired, golden-eyed face peered out from the office back at him.
"Hello?" he whispered. Still aware of what might be stirring under the boxes by the stairs, Pente kept his voice low.

Akamai was cautious as he poked his head out but he sure didn't expect another face to be poking in, and he fell back on his bum, startled. He blinkblinkblinked and peered at the rainbowy boy in front of him. He took a cue from him in being quiet and whispered back, hesitantly, "...uh..Hi..."

Pente stifled a chuckle as the yellow demon kid plopped back onto his butt. "So what's happening over there?" he asked in a hushed tone. "Is it a game? Hide and Seek?" He looked questioningly at the demon boy sitting in front of him. "Or something worse?"

"Frieeeeeeeeend?" CatCat got the BIGGEST sad eyes ever as the yellow boy ducked back down. She didn't see his escape and so all she knew was he'd hidden. She looked at Kanika in confusion. "Ca...ca... cannibal? I no know what that." She stared in confused sadness at Kanika. The barely summoned young Winiko just didn't understand. All she knew was she was looking for friends... She wanted the WORLD to be her friend.
She slide over to another box pile and hid behind it, trying not to cry. She had upset one new friend, and the other hid from her! And the puppyfriend had disappeared. She wasn't doing a good job at making friends at ALL.

Akamai calmed himself and got back to his feet. He really didn't know what was going on, nor what the other demon meant by 'or worse'. "I don't know," he said quietly, "but that loud one scares me. I was just up here trying to take a nap...." He wasn't sure why he was so unnerved, he was a little bigger than those coming up here, from what he could tell with the brief peek he had, though not as big as this rainbow boy talking to him.
