Kara Elexion: Princess of Eukasia

OOC;;
Friday Night... just barely nighttime, the full moon shined down the hallway windows ever so brightly down on the clean, tiled ground that created noises when people walked by. People were panicking back and forth as the King grew worse and worse by day. He was meeting the same fate as his wife as he coughed harshly, laying on his bed. Covered by soft-cotton blankets, it snuggled around him to keep him warm but it wasn't enough to cure him. One of the people who were deeply concerned was the daughter. Kara flicked her short blonde hair back as she looked down on her skinny-bone appearance...which she hated. Her blue eyes showed annoyance and melancholy as the life she lived in was nothing but good. Her blue dress now draped on the dirty floor and was breaking apart every minute. She was about to get changed until someone opened the door to come see her.

Kara was shocked to see that it was her step-mother: in her black nightgown and curly black hair. Her green eyes seemed to show understanding, but it was a disguise for the purely corrupted b***h. "I wanna be alone Mother! I do not want to talk about this!" "Dear, I understand that it is hard for you, but we do need to talk about this. Your father wants you to get married. You are 20 and it cannot be ignored." "I am more worried about him than some stupid man! I...I'm sorry...I am so tired....I'm going to bed." The Step-Mother nods in sympathy and tells her goodnight before closing the door. When the door shuts with a 'click', Kara undresses herself to change into her Commoner clothes and mess with her hair a bit before sneaking through the balcony window. She lands in a 'thud' as she sped down toward the horse stables and lets out her horse, 'Midnight'. Midnight shakes her black pelt back and forth before she followed her owner with pure loyalty. Kara grabs the lead on her horse as both sneaks out of the garden to go to the bar area. With her alias being 'Conner', she ties down Midnight to where the horse's rest before entering the bar. The place was crowded and she could tell that the owner needed help. "Need a hand?" She laughs in her husky voice, which helps convince people she was really a boy. "YES! MR.EREBUS! You are right on time! Get to the bar area and help me!" Conner chuckles before leaping to the other side so she can tend to the alcohol-hungry customers.

She knew why they are here...it was obvious...it was because tomorrow the princess would be married to whoever won the Games. The Games where if one man out of all the others win every challenge (or has won more) then he will have the woman's hand. Kara rolled her eyes as she started serving the people...while her friend Tasha went to the people who wanted some food from the pub. Tasha was a beautiful, orange-red hair girl with a basic waitress uniform. Tasha had VERY long hair where it reached to her waist, and was known for the cute, innocent smile. She may be 19, but she acts like a 12 year old. Kara smugs as the noises dimmed down since people were getting served with 'Connor' around.

The chortles and scoffs of men drinking themselves down into states of bliss. The hard beating of glass upon tables worked well to mask conversation. Ones of importance were of course no exception to this rule. The man whom only seemed to have the moniker "Fer" by so many strutted into the bar. His eyes scanned the front seats of the bar itself for a familiar face. The face of a business partner to be exact. Fer was rather clean cut for a man in his line of work. Many had questions on how exactly he procured whatever it was that they needed, but Fer made it a point to keep the answer as active a part of their imagination that he could lead on.

His golden eyes found their mark and he hastily took his place next to the slightly out of place character sitting up at the bar. It was a Friday night, so there were plenty of people clamoring about to find seats for themselves. "Well, drasta..." he spoke lightly to the shaken man beside him. The man spun his head quickly to Fer. "Yo-youve had success?" He asked in slight amazement. "Of course Drasta, have i ever failed you before?" The man pulled a small golden trinket from the inner part of his blue button down shirt. "Here you are Drasta my good man." Fer handed the trinket over to the shady man and the man in return handed him a small satchel of money.

"No problem at all Drasta, just remember if you are in need of my services again. you know where to find me." He politely shooed the man away and turned his look back to the bar. The usual bar tender was there, as well as a young man whom Fer had never actually taken notice to before. "Excuse me." He asked the young man. "Could I please get a glass of water? I need something to whet my whistle. Im just not in the mood for anything strong tonight." Fer let out a sigh, as he rested an elbow on the table and looked past both bar tenders at the racks of aged liquor behind them.

If Fer werent a man that needed focus during his job, he would have definitely had himself a nice drink. Even though being a thief seemed like it would be a career path filled with excitement and danger, it had become monotonous in its ways. The thrill that it once held had become stale. Hardly the type of taste a man wishes to have day after day. Perhaps a taste of something different would suit his fancy more. Alas, what he did was what he did. He had made the decision to become what he was. Sure, there were regrets, but they were insurmountable in comparison to the strange desire he had to lead a normal life. Lady luck, however was as cruel a mistress as any other. From the days of his early youth until now. He had done what he needed to in order to survive.

He had to admit, there was a certain disdain he held for the royal family. He had always figured that they had it so easy. "Never a care in the world." he muttered to himself. it was amazing the sort of things that looking at a simple glass of wine would make you rest your mind upon.

With the bar now a bit quiet, the owner wasn't yelling much at Conner now to hurry up as she now relaxes and starts cleaning off a few wine glasses before starting to take notice of someone trying to get her attention. Seeing a guy with white hair and golden eyes got the 'princess' to be slightly curious...she doesn't remember seeing him around town...is he new? She listen to his request for a glass of water. She almost raises a brow but nods as she just gets a clean glass, filling it up with water and some cubes of ice to keep it cold. Connor slides the glass down toward the customer as she now had done her job. "There a go." It is all she needed to say at that point, continuing her time-consuming activity...a.k.a. cleaning wine glasses. During her cleaning, she couldn't help but notice a bunch of drunkards from the back that were pretty damn noisy. Who knew how much beer they probably drank? Of course she normally wouldn't bother with such people, if they didn't have that love-sick puppy faces goggling their eyes on one of her friends.

Tasha was just going to the cook's quarters to tell them the new order. When the men seemed to follow Tasha like a predator to their prey, Conner immediately puts down everything she has on her hands and followed them until she literally skid to get in between Tasha and the two men. Immediately, the men deemed Conner a 'threat' as now they started throwing punches. After getting a punch to the cheek, Conner chuckled before doing a roundhouse kick at one man's cheekbone while she lifted the man by the arms and throws the muscular man over her head as she slams him down on the table, breaking it in half. The people in the pub started shouting and laughing at the men that got beaten down by the scrawny bartender. They booed and cackled like hyena's as Conner dragged the two drunks out of the pub and started kicking them in the face to knock them out outside before returning to the pub, wiping off the blood that was coming out of her nose. "CONNER! YOU ARE PAYING FOR THAT TABLE!" "Sorry Boss." She rolls her eyes as she flicked her hands to get back to the bar. As soon as she picked up the glass again to serve more people, the noises deemed down and it acted like nothing had even happened. Tasha came over in concern: "Your nose-!"

Conner wipes her nose again only to shrug her shoulders in response. "It's fine, It'll heal quick...but start tending to the customers so they don't get pissed." Tasha nods and kept on doing her job, while Conner had to serve the very little amount of people at the bar area....along with dealing with the fact her cheek is now red and was bleeding. "Great, I was hoping to not get such things...could be caught if I mess around." She mumbled, knowing fully well the 'queen' is a bit good at observing people and one weird 'evidence' can really turn the table.

Small sips of his water were taken at a sloths pace. Fer watched curiously as the young bar tender removed himself from behind the bar duty and proceeded with taking discipline into his own hands for a couple of thugs undressing a waitress with their eyes and attempting to do more. Fer was a bit shocked to see the boy lay it on a few grown men. The rest of the bar was in an uproar with raucous laughter after the thugs had their asses handed to them on a silver platter.

The bar brawl was nothing new for Fer to see, but it was a rare sight to see one of the employees being part of the cause of the brawl. Normally it was two scrubs not getting along over something trivial. But this was kind of justified. Kind of. Regardless. the bar tender boy had quite a bit of spunk in him to tangle with a couple of brutes. The boys boss didnt seem to like the outcome of the fight due to his establishment being the collateral.

Things settled down to as placid as one could get for a bar. The patrons had gotten their free entertainment so things were generally calm. Fer watched as the bartender returned to his station. He took one of the nearby napkins and helped himself to a small bottle of alcohol slightly behind the counter. He opened the bottle and poured a bit over the surface of the napkin. No one said a boy who grew up poor and turned into a criminal couldnt be a learned person.

"Here, put this on that abrasion. You dont want any type of infection. it might sting a bit, but im pretty sure a guy as tough as you can handle it, hmm?" Fer placed the alcohol soaked napkin on the bar in front of the boy. "Next time, get ready to react at a moments notice, that way, you wont have to deal with the repercussions of getting hit. Physically or mentally. Keen senses are key."

Perhaps it was Fer's desperation for conversation that didnt involve his business affiliates that drove him to be so friendly with this bartender. Spunk. thats all it was. Fer was going to chalk it up to pure spontaneity. The bartender was being sporadic, so hell, why couldn't he? His raised his glass to the boy and swallowed the remainder of his water. "One hell of a fight though. Its good to see you can hold your own."

"Ive got a little bit of business to attend to, so ive got limited time to hang around for idle chatter. How much do i owe you for the water and the shots worth of whiskey i used on that napkin?" Placing the glass back down on the wood of the bar he fixed up his shirt and took hold of the satchel he had just received moments earlier. "Ya know what." he dropped the satchel in front of the boss bar tender, "Here, its for my drinks and the broken table you've got. Should be more than enough right in that bag."

Fer gave a two fingered salute to the boss and went back to the boy. "Dont forget to dab up that wound. Its about all you can do for it right now." He pushed in his seat and again fixed his shirt getting ready to leave within the next moment or so.

Connor could only look at him with a stern look as he passes a napkin covered in.... abrasion he had said? Nonetheless it dealt with her cheek. So she picks up the napkin and dabs it around a bit. She did feel it sting lightly which only made her twitch....but nothing too serious. She can then see that the man is going to leave soon, probably because it is late and the bar's closing soon. She picks up the bag of coins, almost curious to what was inside but she just tosses it to her boss: "Table." It is the only thing she wanted to say at this point as she then shrugs at the 'stranger': "Probably better off dabbing it than leaving it alone." She lets the guy leave afterward.

While cleaning off the last dishes, Connor couldn't help but feel that she was being watched. It was weird, considering that she was at a bar where so many people were at. But she had that feeling. The blood was now dry in her nose as she then hangs them up to dry before seeing one last customer on the bar. "What can I get ya?" She leaned forward with her hand leaning on the bar table, expecting a drink or maybe some bar food...but instead had to deal with the old man chatting. "You seem to be bothered...."

She had no idea why, but she felt like telling this old man a few things: "No Durr. I am dealing with the fact my 'mother' is forcing me to marry someone I refuse to see. The plan was to wait a month or 2 until we 'get to know each other' crap so they can do the damn ceremony." She had to lie a little bit since she did not want anyone finding out she was some princess. Hence the fact she beat up two muscular drunk men. "So you wish for freedom?" Connor blinked at his response....Freedom. That seemed nice to even say...Freedom. Freedom to speak, Freedom to run, Freedom to write, cook, clean, work, play....even the Freedom to Love. "Maybe that is it. Anyway old man, why ask me that."

"If I remember correctly, you need two rings in order for the marriage to play right?~" The old man then coughs before continuing: "~If the rings are stolen...I.E. If the princess of this village had them stolen....they would have to postpone the games until they find the one who stole them and get it back." Those words made Connor as proud as a Male Alpha Lion. "Who would have the right to steal that?" She chortles a little, knowing there is no way that SOMEONE would steal the royalty rings. "There is a known Thief named 'Fer' whom does that as a profession. He is very well-known and has never been caught. Maybe he will be the best one to hire to steal those rings."

Connor hummed a little in satisfaction. "What happens if they just replace the rings?"

"Aaaah, but do you think it makes sense that they wanna catch the thief and punish him/her for the crime?" The old man had a small grin on his face: "Oh, and I will have the House Chardonnay" Connor raises a brow before he pours the wine in a glass and serves it to the man. "Where do I go to find this man?"

"It's very simple. Just put down a note with who you are, what you want stolen, and what reward you'll give him when he succeeds. You can do it by the big hole on the Oak tree in the middle of the forest. Not only convenient but also it is protected by gangs, be careful on the way." As Connor was about to speak, her boss called out that 'his' shift was done. She nods as she gathered her things and leaves with her horse. While walking down the rugged pathway, she thought more and more about the idea of someone stealing the rings...........

    "Dear 'Fer',

I have a task for you. I am forced to be married to someone I do not love. And in order to postpone it long enough to get out of it, I want the rings stolen in my bedroom. The rings are pure karat diamond with the golden handle on it that will be engraved 'Purity'. Your reward shall be the money you get for selling the rings, the location will be at the home that resides close to a pond known for the many fireflies that reside there. Knowing your reputation, I know you can succeed...but you better be quiet or I will send a noise rampage. This is kind of a test of you by stealing in the same room where a person is sleeping. Please accept the request...but knowing how much a pure karat diamond is worth, you will not resist. Signed, "KE" "
Connor mumbled as she wrote down this in a piece of paper near the big oak tree that the old man was talking about. She then sticks the note in the hole of the Oak tree before leaving with the rings in her pocket to go visit the 'house.

The house she is making the thief go to is actually in TASHA'S house! But first things first, Connor had to go find those rings. So she gets to a place where she knew the Rings will be at. They were going to be delivered in the morning by a messenger, whom seemed to be a bit reckless by the way the box was just sitting there. She slips inside the hotel room and slowly gets her hand to steal the box and run off to her friend's house. When she got there, Connor told the poor girl her plan and had the waitress hide the rings in her jewelry box. Now Connor can only do is wait anxiously as she rode off back to her castle. She puts Midnight back in the stable and sneaks in without being caught to her bedroom and fall asleep in the bed. She cannot wait until her 'mother' screams that the rings have been missing.

For obvious reasons the nocturnal life of Fer remained a constant throughout his time of being a thief. The owls and the stars seemed to be the only ones that ever gave him all of the company that they could muster. But there is only so much you can mention and tell the stars before you come to the realization that hey will never utter a word back, no matter how much you dream, or how much you drink. Their silence is absolute. Knowing they would never manage to speak back never stopped Fer from trying to convey his thoughts through the sky. Fer walked quietly through the woods towards the large oak tree in the center. He smirked wildly at the thought of the bar tender from earlier and it offered him a satisfying chuckle. The clean cut man from the bar was now adorned in a much more agile looking set of clothes, a set that offered much more freedom for movement. The knife at his side bobbed and weaved within its own rhythm in accordance to the steps Fer took.

The had let the word run over time that the best place to give him a request was the Oak tree, so checking it for messages had become like a chore to perform. Fer placed his hand inside the large hole of the tree and pulled out the few requests that he had been given. Most requests were the usual. Fer, I would like to request that you retrieve an item which was taken from me.....or Fer, I lost this gambling I need it back. The most common request was to retrieve something simple. On rare occasions he would stumble across an incredible request. Much like he would moments from right now. The letter was written with a formal feel to it. The type of feeling that wasn't to familiar when it came to these requests. His eyes scanned the words along the page and he raised an eye brow from curiosity

Signed, "KE"

"Hmmmm..." Fer folded the paper and stuck it in the sheath of his knife. "A test...this seems more like a set up..." He spoke lightly. He re-covered specifics of the note in his head. "There is definitely something fishy about this...and who would willingly even attempt having such an expensive ring be stolen from them..." There were plenty of scenarios crossing his mind. It could be a test, Perhaps the ring is a test and an opportunity to strike a deal for something even greater. If by chance there really was this ring there. He could be set for life, and he knew it. A strange type of excitement started to run with his blood. Filling every inch of his body. Even if this was a sort of trap, or if the ring did exist. This was something different, something a bit more exciting than his usual outings. "Lady luck, lets see what you've got in store for me tonight, hmm?" He spoke as if lady luck were another person standing right by and engaged in his conversation.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Fer had the entire town mapped down in his head. The numerous times he had gone out and about served to help this cause. After piecing together the clues from the note. Fer found his house. It was crawling with fireflies like the note had said. The pond offered a steady amount of ambient noise that melded well with the songs of insects from around the area. He skulked around the house to view its entrance points, Primarily windows were the best when it came to small houses. He stayed back for a while observing the house to make mention of any movements in the home. The light from the fireflies offered some additional light to see, but that was a gift and a curse. A small satchel was tied to the sheath of his knife. this satchel held one of the things that Fer needed in order to finish a job correctly. The satchel contained a pair of contact lenses. These lenses helped him adjust to lower lights, and see clearly. The boy placed the contacts in his eyes then putting the things back in the satchel.

After putting the satchel back, Fer moved quickly along the ground towards the house staying as low as possible to avoid any possible light that might come from the house. His time observing allowed him to deduce where the room was that he was targeting. Before starting to lift the window he checked to see if someone was inside. He hesitated when he realized it was the waitress from the bar. "She had a ring worth that much money?" He doubted to himself. "No way in hell..." Fer looked into the room and there it was, right on the end table next to the bed. "I see what i need..." The urge to see if that ring was really there was slowly overtaking any hesitation he had for the person whom he was stealing from. He shook his head and smirked thinking what the bar tender boy would do if he discovered Fer snooping by this girls window.

The window slid up slowly and silently, just in the case this was some sort of set up, Fer took out his knife and nimbly crawled into the room. He held the knife to his chest, and scanned the room before moving another step. It was quiet and there didnt seem to be anything on the floor that could have given him an issue. The boy made his way up to the young girl in bed. He looked closely at her face and the pace of her breathing. "She is asleep alright..." Fer looked at the box next to the bed and grabbed it gently. His curiosity got the better of him and he d he opened it up to the view of a beautiful ring with the engraving "purity" along the length of it. "Holy s**t!" Fer said loudly enough to startle the sleeping girl. He closed the box quickly and flung himself out the window before anyone had enough time to react to his surprised yelp.

Tasha immediately sat up on her bed as she heard someone scream 'holy s**t'. She was on panic mode, as her eyes scanned her bedroom before putting into conclusion that 'Fer', whom Connor mentioned had come and took the rings. "Oh Princess....I hope what your doing is ok..." She then gets up and closes the window shut.

    _*_*_*_*_*_*_*_

Morning had shone through the windows once again as Kara yawned and sits up on her bed, stretching her arms as she stood up with the nightgown she was in. Wiping her eyes, she realizes that the halls were silent and going through it's basic 'routine'. She now just waits until......

"THE RINGS! WHERE ARE THE RINGS?!"

Kara laughed so hard when she heard that mother of hers screaming for the rings. She tried hard not to laugh as she 'opens' the door to find the woman who was panicking. "Mother! What's wrong-?"

"WRONG?! WRONG?! IT IS DEFINITELY WRONG! THE RINGS WERE STOLEN! THE PRECIOUS RINGS FOR YOUR ENGAGEMENT WERE STOLEN!" Kara backed off a little, only appalled that her voice was that loud. "Calm down Mother, I understand that this is serious! But your going to attract a crowd!" Kara spoke in a 'acting worried' tone as the knights were obviously there. If Kara knew it, the games will be postponed long enough for Kara to plan out her life. Her mother, now looking more hideous as a crow spoke out: "GENERAL IRO! I WANT THE PERPETRATOR THAT STOLE THOSE RINGS! BRING HIM/HER BACK ALIVE SO I CAN KILL HIM/HER PERSONALLY!"

Kara walked away from the awkward scene before the knights could even leave. She left the door ajar as she leaned against the wall...in full relief as everyone except the queen was in the room: by herself. As Kara stood there, she then soon heard whispers coming to the room. The Queen was now speaking to someone else who was in the room with her. The other was clearly a white-haired male with dark armor and a sword clung to the belt on his waist. The pale blue eyes made her shiver as she listened to the conversation. "What's wrong my dear queen?"

"You heard me cry out the accursed plague. The queen's face looked...a lot more menacing than the princess remembered. Kara did not get a good vibe out of that. "Someone stole the rings and I want the thief punished. Now we have to postpone the damn marriage games and our plan!"

The man seemed a bit perplexed about the situation. "What do you wanna do then Miss Magesty?"

"Oh Shut up." The queen then took a sword out of a treasure chest she always kept locked up from everyone...including Kara. "We will have no choice but to finish the royalty family off right now instead of waiting. The stubborn, foolish old man and his daughter! I want them beheaded!" Kara didn't even wait to hear more about that, She was dead! She was going to be killed! She immediately changed into her commoner clothing, got herself and Midnight out of there and into the safety of the town. Her face was pale, her heart raced many beats per minute, and her body shakes bad enough to be considered sick. Both immediately got over to Tasha's place, where she lives by herself as it was the only safe haven for Kara......

"You mean the queen is going to kill you?!" Tasha shouts in such horror that she could not even believe it. Connor had come to her crying as the rings were just another way to end the royal family. "I HEARD THEM! They are going to behead me and my Father! I am screwed! I know they probably finished my Father.....Father....oh father." Kara wept with many tears going down her pale-ish face as she knew her whole family is gone. With little comfort Tasha can do, Kara can only grow more and more...ANGRY. "Are the rings gone?"

"Yes, the mission was successful. Although he did say 'Holy s**t' for reasons unknown. Why'd you ask?" Kara eyes Tasha, full of anger and determination. "I am going to find that b*****d and get those rings back!" Despite Tasha's plea, Kara ran out of sight back to the Oak tree where the letter was..... She looked everywhere to find any hiding place that she can stay in. Nodding to herself, she took off to the town, hanging out there in safety to think about everything: Her Family..Her Father...The fact that she would've died....The feeling of betrayal consumed her.

Going through the town, she already knew the announcement had began when she passed through a crowd of people. She stops her horse to see what they were going to say. Turning to see the battalion march through the street, stopping to let some scrawny old man read out a scroll. "Last night, the Princess Kara Elexion's engagement rings were stolen." Connor gulped, knowing fully well on what the announcer was going to say at this point. The old man cleared his throat and continued, hands trembling as his held the scroll, "We are hereby declaring a man-hunt for the thief who dared to steal the symbols of holy matrimony, and the thief will be severely punished for his crime." Connor felt a drop of sweat go through her cheek as she got her horse to run out of there, away from the angry villagers.

After thinking about this, it was already sunset as she climbed the oak tree, awaiting the presence of the thief known as 'Fer'. She was going to demand information from the thief on the whereabouts of the rings......and if she has to...admit that SHE wrote the letter and not Tasha....then yet....she had another idea that could tell the truth...and yet have a bit of a lie in it.

A Loud announcement resounded outside of his home. For whatever reason it sounded earth shattering. Fer wasn't coherent enough when he awoke to hear exactly what the commotion was about, but he pulled himself out of bed anyway. His curiosity urged him to take a look out the window and that he did. The queens vizier stood at the head of a squad of royal knights. the earth shattering sound was the march of the men in all of their weighted clothes against the dirt of the ground. "Whats all this about? The royal guards here in town? ehh must have been something about those "games" im hearing constant ramblings about..." Fer gave the royals no further attention and he returned to relaxing in his home. He was expecting someone anyway.

Fer was expecting another business affiliate. A market dealer in fact. One whom he surprisingly trusted. The man never had any qualms for Fer paid him well for his troubles. Especially with the buyer of those rings, Normally if there was anything gained from a job it took a while to sell, but the rings he pulled last night were almost immediately sold, and to the royals of another kingdom no less. Someone from a neighboring kingdom called Darnvia had bought them for an extremely high price and Fer was waiting for his money to come by. Tonight was going to be the last night he stayed here in Eukasia. With that money he planned to leave his life here and attempt to start over new.

Some time had passed before Fer had recieved a few taps on his door, the taps were a code signifying that Steygul, his merchant, had come with his spoils. The man went and opened the door letting Steygul in. "Oi, Fer. Whats with all the hubbub all over town? Seems like dey be searching for sommone." Fer gave him a quizzical look. "Looking for someone? Nah, i dont think so. The only time any of the royals get off their a** is to make themselves look better. They are probably hooting about those games they are planning." Fer took the large package from Steygul and opened it up. The package was filled with gold and jewels of all kinds. "Steygul, for being such a good sport all these years, take this and enjoy it." Fer handed him a large jewel that itself would sell for more than enough of what Steygul would need for a comfortable life. Shocked, Steygul nodded and took the jewel. "Thank ye much for this, Fer. Ill never foget ye kindliness." Steygul gave Fer a bow and went on his way back home.
__________________________________________________________________________________
The sun had made its rounds for the day and was beginning to submit to the ways of the moon Dusk was giving off the air of nostalgia. Fer packed whatever small things he feel he would need once he left. He was leaving his home open, It would only be a matter of time before either a squatter or the royals took it over anyway. Fer walked the streets slowly and watched as everything offered their memories to him. From when he was a child, to when he was a teenager, to how he was now as a twenty three year old man. It was a good night to stroll and reflect on ones past, especially when that ones future was going to be so much better.

Fer walked up to the bar where he had been the night previously. There was still small stain of blood spattered on the ground where the two thugs were dragged out and left to go home. He continued inside . The bar was very quiet, could have been because it was wtill kind of early, or because of the commotion the royals started today. The proprieter of the bar was in and setting up. Fer walked up to him and asked for a shot of vodka, The man obliged and Fer left his money on the counter, downed his shot then left. It was nice to indulge in a drink for once.

The sun at this point was gone and the youth of the moon shone brightly upon the streets of town. The moonlight became more and more mottled as Fer walked deeper and deeper into the forest. He figured he would check the oak tree one last time before he set off for good. Fer stepped deeper into the woods, but something was amiss, the wildlife was much much quieterr then it usually was. Someone or something was close by. He looked at the are around the great oak and slowly pulled his back in front of him, He reached inside and pulled out his knife.

Fer held the knife in hand and dropped his bag on the ground. He stepped closer to the tree and kept his eyes aware and open. "Youve disrupted the animals here. I know that you are around. Make it easy on the both of us and make yourself aware." Fer held the knife closer to his person and stood in anticipation of whomever it was that was hiding them self in the area.

Realizing she had been caught, Connor had no choice but to get out of the darkness and face the man known as Fer. She couldn't help but see the guy looked familiar but his outfit made it hard to decipher his face....but it made things easy to decipher that his body is athletic and pure muscle. Midnight also came out but it made a gruff like it was not happy....to mimic her owner's emotions. "So....your Fer?" She pats down her commoner blouse and pants as she then crosses her arms. "And I want the location of those rings you stole yesterday...pronto! Those rings you stole last night belonged to the Princess and now everything is growing amok."

She decided to pretend she was some sort of Knight in Disguise...hey, it's so in case he asks why she acts like she never been outside.....it gave an excuse without letting him know she is a girl....a princess. "I know you took the job because a certain 'girl' in the kingdom refuses to marry and apparently doesn't realize what the hell she did. I was suppose to drag you back to the kingdom to finish you off but maybe I have a better idea." She then rubs the back of her neck in nervousness. "I hate being part of the Royalty Knights, that is why I am living a Commoner...you can get... 'more freedom'." She adds it right there before getting back to the point. "Anyways if you tell me where the rings are, your life will not forfeit and things will be back to normal. Then you do whatever the hell you want."

She can already hear the roaring of the crowd from the village, making Connor and Midnight both jump in fear...knowing fully well most of it came from men wanting the princess' hand....which probably got them to thinking if they find the thief, they'll get the 'hand' right away. "s**t...it's already getting worse as it is. Why did she do something so stupid?!" She was merely talking to herself but nonetheless, it is a situation that had to be fixed quickly to obtain rule.....and also to bring back peace.

I feel so stupid...to think I did this because I did not want to marry.... She thought to herself, shaking her head in remorse as she kept her posture erect, not wanting to show weakness! She needed to fix this real soon...and quick! Before the Queen...or that 'stranger' find out and bring her back to be beheaded.

The person whom was hiding came out fro their place of solace. It was actually right up in the tree. Soon after, a horse appeared by the side of them and gruffed angrily. This person sounded familiar...not just sounded but looked. The hair color, the voice and the thing that gave it all away was mark left on their cheek from the previous nights skirmish. Fer lowered the knife and put it back in its sheath at his side. He disregarded the bar tender and walked over to his bag of belongings. He shuffled around with his things and put the bag over his shoulder.

"First let me ask you something," He said. "How did you get that mark on your cheek? Doesnt seem normal for a normal person or a Royal knight to go around getting them self into fights." He paced the radius of the tree and watched the boy. "Ah, what am i saying. you probably just fell off of your horse here, hmm?" Fer let out a devious sounding chuckle. "I think you are mistaken. The job i performed last night was not at the castle, but a small home in this town. Besides, even if those rings did belong to the princess, they are now long gone, sold to the highest bidder they were, all i know and can say was that they were sold to a noble of Darnvia for a very high price."

"How very typical though." He spit with an air of disdain. "If what you say is true, this is not the fault of myself, but you. Shouldnt the Royal knights be doing their job and watching over the princess?" Fer continued to circle the boy around the tree. "Alas, i do not entirely believe you are a knight of the Royal service, you are far too reckless. Living as a commoner? Coming to confront me on your own? Risking your position itself as a knight? None of this seems befitting of one in the gaurd." Fer stopped moving and took a moment to crack his neck a bit. "So all in all. Mr knight. I cannot help you find what you seek."

Fer, again unsheathed his knife and pulled out the request he was given to steal the rings the night before. Still folded, he tossed it at the bartenders feet. "Maybe if you need a little bit more to go on, this will help. Otherwise my next plan of action would be to march a little group on over to Darnvia, and start looking for some answers there." Fer wrapped up his belongings and was about to leave.

"If there are anymore questions for me, speak now or forever hold your peace." For the slightest of moment Fer thought that something bad might actually be happening. There was a platoon of troops outside today, steygul warned him of the Royal knights looking for someone, those rings he obtained sold so quickly and for such a high price. Now the bartender boy comes and threatens his life... maybe those rings did belong to the princess...but how did they end up in some little shanty in the middle of town?

Fer started to produce a cold sweat. Partially from excitement and partially from nervousness. His breathing started to quicken and he had to take deep breaths to keep himself calm. All the plans he had to leave and start everything over was now possibly falling apart...the chance he wanted and desired do badly at a normal life, that seemed like it was right within reach, is now fading and eluding his grasp.

The sounds of men yelling angrily began to resound from the outskirts of the woods from the town. It sounded like the shouts were all getting closer. It was definitely time to leave. If Fer ever wanted a chance at a real future he needed to leave. and he needed to leave now, before that dream made its way farther and farther out of his range.

She did not like that thought at all!"Are you ********' serious?! At Darnvia?! GODDAMN s**t!" She thrashes her arm against a tree as she let out a small growl....but then... a thought hit her. He asks her how did she knew he took the job?

She then smirks: "Exactly. If I were to be so 'polite' in a fight, they would not become suspicious of me as a knight. And another thing: it was someone else's duty to look after the rings so I'll pass the message along to them." She chuckles, but soon rubs her forehead before getting up on her horse:

"And I don't mean that everything was your fault, I am mad at the princess for this madness. You were a rodent caught in a mouse trap. I am just frustrated and I need the goddamn rings back. So it is north from here? Thanks for tellin' me. Oh! And...try not to cause trouble." She then got Midnight to canter as they rode through the forest going North and heading out of the Town. But she soon realizes she needs supplies by going to the store to get camping supplies, food, medicine, and also to the pub to get beer & wine for drinks. She also had to tell her boss that she won't be at work for awhile due to going to a town far near the border. She then rides out of town to go near the border, not knowing whenever she should make the thief come with her or just leave him be to deal with himself. Now she was up the hill, overlooking the village. She takes a melancholy sigh as now she knew it was goodbye to the kingdom to unknown places and dangerous travel through Eukasia to Darnvia.

Taking in the last fresh air, she and her horse finally walked down the hill to go and get the rings back. Kara had so much in her mind right now...she didn't know much about the outside world....only her village was enough to see. She was then thinking about her family....She remembered her father, a blonde individual being tough, strong, and also loyal to everyone including his wife: her mother. He was very strong and could defend himself so easily...which was how Kara was influenced to be independent and be as strong as the knights. While her Father was strong....her mother was not. Her mother had beautiful brown hair and green eyes but she was very thin and weak. Kara noticed this as she was growing up, how she would get sick easily, would barely eat, and also remained quiet throughout the day. She even remembered the day her mother got sick, it was so bad that everyone knew she was not going to live. She and her Father cried a river when she passed on.

With a few tears strolling down her cheek, she pressed on toward the darkness of the forest. Everything went too quickly though when she was suddenly ambushed, there were a bunch of thieves surrounding Kara and her horse. Panicking, her horse went on her hind legs and stood up, leaving Kara and the supplies to fall and hit the ground mighty hard. She couldn't even get up in time before she was kicked in the head and then held by the neck with a sword pressed on her soft, vulnerable throat. She literally thought she was going to die now....die to fulfill her evil stepmother's wish. What she would give to prevent herself from giving that thief a job.

The bartender had a very short, but seemingly clear excuse for being a Royal knight. Fer, however, was still skeptical. He also couldn't help but scoff and roll his eyes at the rodent comment that was thrown upon him. He wasn't sure why most thieves were considered rodents. it was just something that stuck, like a bad nickname.

The bartender soon took his leave and so did Fer, the boy said he was heading North which ironically was the direction that Fer himself planned to go. After the fact that the kid was going north it worried Fer. Without the proper knowledge of the area a commoner parading as a knight, or a knight parading as a commoner, whatever this bartender was claiming to be, would be a sitting duck for the bands of amateur thieves and bandits that made their money attacking and robbing travelers and merchants.

Fer hastily found his way to the Northern border where the bark night said he was of to. The large hill that overlooked Eukasia was the edge of the town itself and was the last solace before the forest lay in between the two kingdoms. Darnvias capital was not at all close, and that is where Fer was sure that boy was headed. Bot only was the Bar knight on his own journey, this was a new step in life for Fer as well.

He stood atop the hill overlooking Eukasia, the lights from the town radiated brightly into the darkness of the night. Fer gave the town a small wave and turned himself away. "See ya..." He spoke as a farewell to the town and all its residents. He thought curiously if he would again come across the Bar knight.

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________

The man traveled a small distance before there was an unnatural commotion coming from the distant part of the forest, he heard some yelling and a horse announing its anger and fear. "Oh no..." he said as his heart sank a bit. He darted through the woods at a high speed towards the source of the sound. "s**t, if i dont hurry up, that guy is ********> He just knew it was bar knight, the horse crying out was all he needed to hear.

Fer came across an opening with a group of bandits and none other than Bar knight pinned to the ground with a knife to his throat, while the remaining bandits tore through his supplies. "Fer counted the men he saw and noted any weapons they had on them. The most important thing was getting the guy with the knife to The bar knights neck. "One...two..three, and four," he counted. His eyes scanned wildly as they moved.

Fer moved as quickly as he could while still attempting to stay silent. He circled closer to the thug and the Bar knight. With a quick leap, he got in close quarters with the thug, the thugs first reaction was to swipe at him with the knife leaving the Bar knight free. Fer took a slash to the abdomen as he pivoted in front of the boy and pushed him away with as much force as possible.

After the bartender was finally out of harms way, Fer turned to the assailant and caught his mid swing, a pull and a twist followed by a palms thrust to the elbow broke the mans arm and disarmed him of the knife. Which fer would now utilize. Unsheathing his own knife in addition to having a second, the men who were busy going through the supplies were now alerted of his presence.

The first one to take a swing at Fer was the first to drop, Fer ducked the swing and struck the mans throat with the blunt end of his large knife. As soon as the one dropped to the ground the swordsman took a swipe at him. Fer pivoted again and dug the small knife from the other bandit, into the mans arms rendering it useless. He followed up with a kick to his chest sending him to the ground. At this point the last bandit was so shocked that his group had already fallen, he turned tail and headed for the depths of the woods.

The pure adrenaline of the fight had Fer oblivious to the wound he had gotten. He took deep breaths to catch his air again . The men that were taken down remained on the ground groaning and moaning in whatever manner they pleased. Looking at the clothes of the bandits. Fer looked over to the bar knight, "Stags, they are everywhere around here.." he said slightly exasperated. "Good thing i showed up, they wouldve killed you when they were done with your things." Fer lightly kick the arm of one of the nearby thugs on the ground and walked over to the bar knight.

"Cant say I know where your horse went, but that bugger is what saved your life, if i didn't hear that thing cry out, I probably wouldn't have made it in time." Fer knelt down by the boy and held the boys chin, he turned his face so he could get a look at the mark on his cheek. "Now I know for damn sure you aren't a knight. If you were, that wouldn't have taken you by surprise, and you probably could have handled them by yourself." Fer tapped the wound on the boys cheek and lifted himself of of the ground. His cut stung slightly, but it wasn't something that needed to be tended to immediately. Just a minor flesh wound.

After raising himself up to his feet , Fer held out his hand for the Bar knight to grab. "Are you sure you want to do this? You dont seem to know precisely what you are doing out here." he extended his hand more for the Bartender to take. "If you insist, ill tag along. I could use one last adventure...." Fer smirked wildly at the boy and gave a hopeful sigh.

Connor huffed and puffed, feeling like a jackwipe now for all the comments and also for not being able to defend herself. Great...how do I make myself look like a knight now when I couldn't deal with thugs?! She thought as she took a hold of his hand to get herself back up. Then her horse, came back from the shadows of the trees, nudging her apologetically. She also nudges Fer a bit, as a sort of thank you before standing there, shaking her head back and forth to get the twigs out of her hair. And now his suspicious were getting pretty damn close. Yeah, that lie really did not do me too well... Should she come up with another lie or no....maybe another one.

"Alright fine, I admit. I only know the Knight's basics...that doesn't consider me a knight much, but I wasn't really lying about it." She puts her hands up almost like a 'surrender' hoping that he will take it for all its worth and leave it be. She then pats down her clothes as she took notice of the guy's wound. "Sit down for a sec." She then gets to her bag, hoping the first-aid stuff wasn't stolen.

Some were, but thank god it wasn't the ones she needed right now so she got out some herbal medicine from the cylinder case and bandages. "I may not be worth called a knight, but I know basic healing." She then lifts the thief's shirt up and applies the medicine onto the wound, knowing it will sting a little before she wraps bandages on the abdomen, tightening it up slightly so it won't fall anytime soon. It's also to keep the medicine at work to deal with the damage, and infection. "There, it'll hurt a little bit but it's the least I can do." She then decides she needed a bit of a walk so she just takes a hold of Midnight's rein before nodding. "I'm surprised you even insisted but sure, that's fine with me." With that, she gets most of the stuff back in the bag noting what had been stolen before taking a firm walk holding Midnight on her grasp.

As they both walked down the path, they were going to walk through a cave that actually takes them underneath a waterfall, which was built recently to get town to town easily, instead of walking around the hill which might take days. The Three of them were able to reach the middle where the sun shines down from the opening on a wall while it shows the view of the forest, and the faraway mountains. She stops Midnight and steps down as she gets the supplies down as well. "Might as well Stop for Lunch." She sets up the wood where a firepit was, which was used often for travelers, as she creates a spark to start a fire and then puts down an iron stand where she puts down a pot that is filled with the water from the waterfall outside as she was planning to make some vegetable soup. She waited until the water boiled before she then puts on the spices that helped turn the water to vegetable broth and then the vegetables: carrots, celery, beans, brustle-sprout, tomato, brocoli, and some corn. She wanted to use most of the vegetables today for lunch from the nice lady at the general store. And if there are leftovers: There was a bin she can put the leftover soup in to save for later. "So...Fer huh? I never really said my name: I'm Connor. Connor Erebus. And I must ask: How is life really like in the village?" She then adds a little bit of salt and pepper before stirring the soup up. Connor, just for reasons, wants to know the real situation since she could only got out at night-time, which doesn't really show her what it is really like.
