Warning: If you have not read the first part to this story which is Mayou's Father, this will not make sense. You have to read the first part to this to understand. This is part 2.

Mayou woke up the next night smiling. He looked over at his father with a bright smile and shook him to wake him up.

"Hey dad. It's time to get up. It's night and we can go wandering around if you want," Mayou said. When his father woke up, he smiled even more. "So where are we going tonight?"

"I'm not quite sure. Where would you like to go?" his father asked. Mayou shrugged, and his father let out a sigh. "I think I know of a place that you would like to go to. Follow me."

Mayou and his father walked down the stairs and then outside of the castle. The air was cool, the winds were calm, and the moon was full. It was perfect for both of them. The walked down the long path to the castle gates, holding each other's hands in happiness.

"This place could use some cleaning," Mayou said with a laugh. "How did we get this place anyway?"

"That's a long story... but I'll explain it anyway," his father replied. "A few years before you were born, your grandfather was looking for a home for himself. He searched as far as the Boundary Lands went. Eventually, he stumbled across this castle along its limit lines. He took it upon himself to live there even though he had almost no land due to the boundary."

"The Boundary Lands's boarder is right alongside the castle?!" Mayou asked in shock. His father nodded. "What was the point of that boundary anyway?"

"Have you forgotten everything you learned in history?" his father asked with a large sigh following afterword. "It was formed to separate the dark beings such as you and I from the peaceful beings of the world. And although things have changed and most dark beings are no longer evil, nobody trusts taking down that barrier due to the fact that the world can go into an all-out war."

Mayou sighed. "That boundary in my mind is pointless. The two halves of the world will never get along unless they can meet and come to an agreement. Has anybody ever tried to break the barrier?"

"Yes. Many have in fact. And... I was one at one point," his father replied. He scratched his head. "But that was so long ago that I barely remember any of it."

"Well somebody has to try again!!!" Mayou let out of nowhere. His father stood in shock. "What does it take to break a simple boundary?!"

"It is anything but simple. It was made with the intentions to never break."

"But it has to at some point! What if I try doing it?! How far would I get?!"

"That depends on your determination," his father replied. Mayou was silent in shock. "Five thousand strong. Five thousand of determination. Five thousand full of spirit. That is the legend that goes with that barrier. In other words, if you are to break it, you will need the strength of five thousand people of full strength, spirit, and determination." Mayou nodded.

"Well I'm determined. And you've always know how spirited I am," Mayou said. His father nodded. "Do you think I have a chance at destroying it?" His father shrugged. "Well I want to do this."

"If you do... you will regret it," his father suddenly said.

"Huh?"

"If you wondered why I am bound to this castle at daylight... it's because I failed to break the boundary, and it reflected upon me and bound me to the last place I was during the day. Unless you wish to be stuck at the castle during the day, then I suggest you don't try to break that thing."

Mayou grunted and follow his father to the gate. They opened it and walked out.

"If I were to break that boundary, then would you be free?" Mayou asked. His father nodded. "Then I want to try breaking it!"

"Please don't Mayou. If you do and fail, you will have to live the rest of your life the same way I do," his father said. He sounded very concerned.

"But I have to! You can't be stuck here for forever! And the two halves of this world have to finally meet face to face and work things out to make peace between each other!"

"I understand your concern, but I do not wish for you to end up the same way I did," his father said. "Please leave it alone Mayou. It was never meant to be messed with in the first place."

Mayou grunted. He placed the thoughts off to the side for the time being and walked with his father.

The night seemed long with the both of them. They talked and caught up on lots of things that happened over the past five years. Before they knew it, the sun was coming up.

"Quick Mayou! Grab on," his father urged. Mayou grabbed both of his hands, and they both faded away as the sunlight washed over them. When they both fully appeared, they were inside the castle. "It's morning. We should get to sleep." Mayou nodded and they got into their beds. "See you in the night Mayou." He went onto his side and went to sleep.

Mayou continued to stay up, thinking about the Boundary Lands. I need to break down that barrier somehow. But how will I be able to get the strength, determination, and spirit of five thousand people?/i] He let out a large sigh and continuously stared at the ceiling.

Mayou began feeling drowsy. He curled up on his side and closed his eyes. I'm going to break it at some point. I just have to... He fell asleep.

Somebody began shaking Mayou, telling him to wake up. "Come on. It's night. Let's go." Mayou looked and it was his father.

"Alright. Give me a second and I'll go meet you at the gate," Mayou replied. His father nodded and walked out of the room. Mayou sat up and looked outside.

The barrier that made the Boundary Lands was not visible, but people stood in front of it, banging their fists to try and break it. It seems as though I'm not the only one who wants that thing broken. Mayou sighed. "I wonder if anyone will ever be able to break it..." He turned around and walked out of the room.

Mayou met his father at the gate. They opened it and walked out. The atmosphere was nearly the same as the night before, but this time, the air was warm and slightly moist. They walked over to their right, away from the barrier. Mayou turned his head to look at it until the castle was no longer visible.

"Give it up Mayou. You can't break it..." his father said. Mayou sighed.

"Thanks for having faith in me..." Mayou commented with an attitude.

"It's been there since The Era of Silence. In other words, it's been here for over fifty thousand years."

"I know. But it'll be broken eventually and you know it too. What if I'm the one who breaks it?" Mayou said with irritation in his voice. He and his father continued walking throughout the land.

Every night after that, Mayou would always look in the direction of the barrier whenever he walked outside of the castle. Before he knew it, it had been over two months of staring endlessly at that barrier whenever he went out. It soon enough got him irritated to the point of raging. He would yell and scream and even break things in anger! He refused to give up. He was still determined to break it.

One day, it was nearly sunset. Mayou's father was fast asleep. Mayou looked out the window at the setting sun.

"It's now or never..." Mayou thought. He walked over to the door as quietly as he could, then opened it up. He walked out as silently as possible and walked down the steps. "I have to try." He crept to the door and opened that up, then walked outside.

Mayou's heart raced. His mind filled with millions of thoughts all at once, and he ran to the end of the castle in fear. The moment he reached the end, he placed his hand out and tried pushing. He couldn't push his hand through. "Yep... This is definitely it..." he said. He took in a deep breath. "Here goes nothing!" He let it out, then held his hands against the barrier. A large black circle with magic symbols in it appeared.

Mayou's father woke up late into the night. It was past twelve. He pulled off his covers and looked over to Mayou's bed. He gasped once he realized he wasn't there. "Mayou!" He stood up and looked out the window. He didn't see him. He looked over to his left, and sure enough, he was there against the barrier, uttering a spell.

"Mayou!!!!!! Stop this now!!!!!!!!" Mayou's father cried out. Mayou didn't break focus. "Stop it!!!!!" He still didn't stop. "Mayou!!!!!!!!!" He continued.

Mayou's father ran down the stairs and down the courtyard. He ran up to Mayou and looked at him, but was careful not to touch him as it would make an almost definite fail. "Mayou! Why?! Why are you doing this?!"

Mayou continued to focus, but he struggled to answer. He was using too much magic and straining himself. "I....... I am determined............. to do this!!!!!!" Small cracks appeared from the sides of the magic circle. "I will......... break this barrier!!!!!!!!!" The cracks grew bigger and spread even more! The stretched several feet across the barrier!

"But how?" Mayou's father asked himself quietly in shock. He was motionless in shock. "It takes the power of five thousand people! N..... no." He though silently to himself for a minute. "He can't be! Gosen no Tsuyosa! The one with the power of five thousand!" Suddenly, the cracks grew even more. They reached the ground, and then the sky. A loud shatter came, and large pieces of the magic barrier flung everywhere, then broke apart into nothing in mid-air. Both Mayou and his father stood, silently in shock.

"I broke it..." Mayou said. "I actually broke the barrier......."

So what did you think of part two? This has a second part. I have no idea if posts on here have a space limit... but if they do, then I doubt I can fit the second part into this one lol. I know it's extremely long still, but I wanted this one to be even longer. I'm only making the three parts to Mayou's story, and the first and second are already done. I worked really hard on this, and I'd love it if you gave me some feedback. I seriously thank you if you spent the time reading all of this story because it's just so long. But if you did read this, then please at least tell me. And if you didn't read all of it, then can you please at least tell me what you though of what you read? Thanks! smile
