[If you want me to whip up one of these bars for you too so everyone can see your char and it's less confusing, let me know. Takes two seconds.] He wasn't quite sure how it happened, but here they were, heading to the beach on an impromptu picnic. Actually, no, he knew exactly how this happened, but didn't want to think about what his parents were doing while they kicked all the 'kids' out of the house for several hours. Or days, he might have to bring everyone to the Airay clan if- Ugh no, that train of thought had to stop so he could get off.
Shaking his head, the oldest brother of the Tweedle horde looked over his charges and eyed the basket one of his sisters was swinging back and forth. Packed full of brownies, no doubt. He hoped they remembered to pack sandwiches, though it was probably too optimistic to expect there to be water or tea in there. He patted one of his coat pockets softly, having had the foresight to keep his walnut studded brownies tucked away from the pack of siblings.
He cupped his hands around his mouth while looking back over the group, hoping he would command enough authority for them to listen, even in his teen form. He really didn't want to shift to adult; the bloodlust would sing to him then and it always made him uncomfortable.
"HEY EVERYONE! Here's the plan! We're gonna walk to the beach that's by the jungle's edge, don't go running off. No, I don't care how old you really are. If you run off I'm not coming after you, so don't expect a rescue. Pick a buddy-"
Here he paused for the inevitable groans, but only rolled his eyes in response.
"Yea I know, too bad. Be glad I'm not forcing you to hold hands. Everyone got everything? Alright! We're off~"
Elongating his scythe with a twirl, he held it high on his shoulder like a banner as he lead the way. With luck it wouldn't be a long walk, so long as no one caused trouble. Or ran off. It was a total lie that he wouldn't go charging through the thick overgrowth of trees to save someone, but if he said so someone would've probably taken it as a challenge or an invitation to a game.

A certain Tweedle Pendulum Airay was quite glad he had decided when he was just barely an adult, to go outt to meet others in the other world. This was accomplished by having nagged nightmare to death to allow him to go. It was there that he had learned some very colorful curses in different languages and was now utilizing his knowledge to spend the last twenty minutes cursing out the biological donors he sometimes called parents. For once he was actually in his teenage form instead of his adult form or his ten year old form he often liked taking recently.
“I’m going to violently murder them in their sleep” Pen growled under his breath. It was ridiculous how one couple could, even if it was four people, have so much damn sex. He might have well been like his older set of “siblings” with cat genes the amount he either slept outside or at various faceless he charmed. Probably why he hated being in his adult form with a passion. It was crueler and way looser than he wanted to be. Out of all his siblings he had probably got hit with the blood lust the hardest as he was pretty sure Bandersnatch enjoyed toying with victims more.
Pen frowned when Bale mentioned a beach? They had a beach? Then again you never knew in wonderland what your backyard was going to be like or in his case what age you were going to be stuck in curtsey of his Tweedle powers.
However he was brought out of his beach questioning when Bale started talking again. “Bale…” he groaned, half convinced that his older brother would have them all holding said hands by the end. He almost stuck out his tongue only it was waring with his urge to try shooting Bale. Whoops, possibly wound the clock a little too far forward. Oh well

Aklys wasn't a fan of this trip, primarily because she didn't understand it. Why leave home? What good did that do? It seemed some of her siblings were tired of her parents antics, but Aklys hardly noticed these days. She was usually too busy trying to bake, exploring the Outside, or trying to be as badass are her family. So, when the idea of a trip came along she had been reluctant to agree.... But here she was, carrying a basket of brownies, listening to Bale yelp out rules she was probably already planning on obeying.
Her eyes skimmed to the side to view the pink woman beside her, nervously gripping the basket tighter. Aklys couldn't lie, she was envious of the younger Airay. Named Calico, the woman didn't seem too bothered that she was unlike most of her family. She carried herself well, and Aklys even found herself envious of the others looks at times. And that boa.... Aklys bet it was nice to hide in and avoid the rest of the world...
Swallowing thickly, Aklys focused on the basket of brownies, not even daring to look at the feline beside her. Still, it seemed both had chosen one another to stay beside during the trip to the beach, as Calico didn't move from her side.
She just hoped her brothers would behave... Still in her teen form, Aklys eyed her siblings, hoping to whatever deity that would listen that this trip would not end in bullets and blades.
Calico had come with a basket of her own, but it was chalk full of books about marine life, the beach, and the ocean. Her small, petite hands clutched the basket, eyes flicking to view the others who weren't part of her family. Her bottom teeth dug into her lip slightly as she kept her head down, lost in thought about what the beach may look like, and if it'd match the images in her books.
When she overheard the Tweedle children mentioning the beach some time ago, Calico had leapt at the chance. Having never been to the beach, it had piqued her active curiosity. Still, it had bothered her when she discovered the "adults" (or rather, the parental figures) weren't coming, which meant no Alice and Boris. Which meant she'd need to leave them behind. However, her need to experience the ocean for once had overridden her inherent need to be beside her parents at almost all times.
Also, maybe she'd have something to talk about with that interesting vampire she had met a few days (probably months in his world) prior. He was quiet, and how many times had Alice told her to make friends of some sort? He could be a friend... right?

Tweedle Adze Airay followed her brothers away from the mind scarring mansion. Her parents were too much sometimes, with their need for...physical activities. Sometimes Adze wanted a relationship like her parents. Other days...she just wanted away from her parents. Jeez. Still, at least they had an excuse to get out of the house and to the beach and have a picnic.
Adze patted the second basket she carried under her arm, full of milk for the brownies and a couple of practical things like water and sandwiches. She could smell the delicious scent of brownies wafting up from the container Aklys held and only held herself back from snitching one or two because brownies were better with milk. Yes, that was her logic, not the fact that sharing was caring, the fact that brownies were better with milk was what kept her on the straight and narrow.
She grinned at the growl Pen let out about murdering people before groaning at Bale's rules. How were they supposed to get into trouble if he implemented a buddy system? What about straying from paths and having to fight faceless baddies? Then again, the faceless baddies might trample the brownies, and she couldn't have that. Sighing, she fell into line with Aklys, twitching her tail behind her in frustration. "Hey, sis. What'cha staring at?"

What had started out as a simple sail out on the ocean on her first ship had ended in a nightmare. Despite her mother's warnings about a storm Esme had still gone out on her own - faithful crew behind her. The weather had looked well enough to her - a fact that changed merely a day into her trip when she was far enough from home to get help and too far away from anywhere else. Even so she refused to let the crew deal with this while she stayed safely inside away from danger - like her first mate had told her to do in the first place.
"Grab the sails! Hold the lines!" She bellowed out orders to the best of her ability, the wind and rain whipping her hair and dress about in a manner that either blinded her or kept her from moving very far at all. She didn't want to turn tail and run - she wanted to prove to everyone, even herself, that she could handle a ship just as well as her mother or anyone else in the family. Determined and not thinking straight she forced her legs to move forward - not knowing in what direction she was really going until she felt the handrail digging into her middle. The last thing she heard before going overboard was her first mate calling her name - and then the splash of the water as she hit it.
The water tugged and pulled her in every direction but still she fought against it, she wasn't going to drown! Desperately she tried to keep her head above water, the clothing she wore pulling her down almost as much as the storm crazed currents. All to soon her body was starting to give up, her arms becoming tired - body starting to sink. "Will I ever see them again....?" The thought flashed through her mind as her eyes closed and the rushing sound of water over took her - what would happen to her now?
