Slice of Life  Ａ hospital is place of sorrow and healing. Disappointment and grief. When you hear the word Hospital it scares many. Who got hurt?! Who's sick?! A child is born! Though life is given there, little happiness can be found in a hospital. A young high school boy enters through the automatic doors of one of Tokyo's busiest hospitals. Nurse's escort him to a room with other patients that have fallen ill or have been in some sort of accident. He sits there quietly, sadness covers him like a blanket until he hears a small yet sweet voice echo in his ear. Followed by another strong and determined voice and a confident but frail voice. One by one he realizes he's surrounded by others who have suffered. In the hospital? Could bonds and friendships be made? Visitors, patients, nurses, and doctors, fill the hospital. They make a chain of people that make a society, and that give life to new circles of friends. What kind of friendship and stories will we witness in this Tokyo hospital?

 Another day for treatment, another day for waiting, another day for watching. How many days will pass until he is relieved of his own pain. The nurse gestured Setsuna to lay on one of the beds in a large room that had separate areas for patients. "The doctor will be with you in a moment." The nurse says to him. No doctor would understand, for no doctor could make sense of what was wrong with him. Curtains separated bed by bed. No window view this time, what a shame, just another reason to dread being there. He was running low, and soon his tank will be empty if nothing changes.

Eve heard someone sit down in the bed next to her. Her testing had finished early so she was placed in the room to wait. Moving her stuffed bear against the head of the bed and propping him up into a sitting position she turned a bit. She grabbed the edge of the curtain and moved it a bit curious about who was next to her. She didn't really see many people here and sometimes when she did the nurses would give her weird or pitiful looks.

Ranma awoke in a cold sweat. He yelled out but not too loud. He breathed heavily. He looked around but saw only curtains. He moved one of them and saw a little girl and an older boy. "H-how long have you guys been here?" He asked since he only showed up a week before.

Lane padded down the brightly-lit halls of the hospital, clutching a small,
folded piece of paper that contained her destination. As she walked, she
opened the little note to reveal her own messy manuscript. Only a little while
ago, someone had told her of a new patient coming in and as always, she
was curious to meet them. Not much happened in the hospital and Lane
had learned to appreciate the little things that happened; one of them being
new people. She'd first arrived about three or four years ago when she was
first diagnosed with osteosarcoma and underwent the amputation of part of
her left leg. Now, she had a prosthetic appendage filling the missing space
below her knee. Anyways, Lane had gone down to the hospital check-in
center immediately upon hearing of the news of a newcomer to find their
room number and meet them; now here she was heading up to their room.
Finally arriving at the newcomer's room, Lane took a deep breath, rechecked
her note to make sure she had the right place, and softly knocked on the door
three times. After a pause, she spoke.
"Uh...I'm coming in," she called, twisting the doorknob and pushing the door
open. She shifted a bit uncomfortably in the doorway, pausing before
continuing towards the three people in the curtain-filled room. She
recognized two of them, Eve and Ranma. She had met them before, back
when they had first arrived, so she gave them both little waves. But the third,
who she assumed was the new patient, she had never seen before.
Approaching with small steps, she greeted him with a hesitant smile. She
was used to some patients being hostile, so she didn't want to appear to be
too forward or something in case he was.

22/Nurse/Healing Arts ☆·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.¤⋟⋞¤.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·☆ Norah walked into the hospital with only part of her hair in braids. She was already dressed for work, so she felt no need to go to the locker room which she found to be good since she heard one of the patients yell out. Thankfully she was walking past their room. It seemed that another person was added. Norah worked in pediatric unit of the hospital. They ranged from babies to young adults.
Walking to the room, she noticed a new name on the plaque that was added. 'Hmm, it seems we are becoming sort with rooms.' Norah saw the new boy in bed, and she waved to him. "Hello I'm Norah. I will be your nurse for this shift." Knowing the sound of the small yell, she knew it wasn't the new boy. Walking around to the other curtain, she saw the boy sitting there who seemed to be a bit started. "Ranma, Is everything okay?" Checking his iv, everything seemed fine. Checking on the other patient, she had proper her bear up. "Hey Eve. How are you today?" She kept a smile on her face. "Maybe later I can give you pigtails or a nice braid? Would you like that?" Looking at the bear, then at her iv drip, she smiled once again. These kids seemed to have no luck with medicine. Not knowing what was wrong with the one boy, she wanted to go check his file, but before she left she spoke a bit loudly. "Does anyone need anything? I need to pick up a couple of files." If the kids were bored or hungry she would have grabbed something to keep them occupied.
Right as she was about to leave, another person opened the door, letting the children know they were coming in. "Well hello Lane!" Norah said with a smile. She knew that Lane always met the new patients. It made her happy since it made the other people feel welcome. A smile stretched on her face. "How are you today Lane? I was actually about to make my round to your room. Do you need anything while you are here?" She smiled at the girl like she did with all of her patients, with love and warmth. ☆·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.¤⋟⋞¤.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·☆ Out of Chansey's: Hey everyone!!! If the font is too light I can change it.  One by one he heard voices and saw new faces. It surprised him, all these people seemed cordial. The first face he saw was of a little girl who had a such an innocent face on, it could break your heart. A small smile formed on his face, then a young boy perhaps around his age looked frazzled, he awoke in shock. "I-..." He stopped as another came into the room. A girl who walked strangely made her way inside. He put his hands together and held back. These people were just patients, others who probably are suffering from their own accursed injuries or illnesses. As a nurse also entered the room Setsuna narrowed his eyes toward her. When he went to open his mouth to greet her nothing came out. It was as if someone took away the words he was about to say. He looked away from the group of people. there was no place for him there, he just needed to pray that he will one day be relieved.

Lane returned the woman's warm smile with one of her own, grinning
cheerfully as she rocked back on her heels, putting more weight on her real
foot than her false one. "Hey, Norah." she greeted politely. Norah was one of
her favorite nurses. She'd been there when Lane had first arrived and helped
her through her early stages of rehabilitation after her first major surgery. "I'm
alright. The aches in my knee have been coming and going, but it's gotten
less frequent." she reported truthfully. The aches had been getting less
frequent, but the pain was still pretty bad when they occurred.
"Er...hi." she said to the unfamiliar patient. His hands were clasped together
and he looked a bit out of place. Lane hoped that would change a few weeks
in. She could remember clearly how hard it was to adapt in her first year in
the hospital and how much she had hated the place. "I'm Lane." she introduced.
Lane stretched her lips into what she hoped was a friendly smile and awaited a
response.

Suddenly, ranma's voice seemed to change. It went from a soft voice to that you'd expect from a demon. "Tch, no answer? Screw it, I don't even care." His posture and way of speaking seemed to have changed. "Only been here a week and I already got the cold shoulder. Heh. Who needs people." He said as he got out of bed and walked out the front door, "I don't even know why I'm here. I don't need a hospital." He growled.

Eve smiled when Norah came in "Hey Norah!" she said happily. When Norah said that she could do her hair later Eve nodded happily "Alright" she said smiling a bit. Then she turned to Lane who walked in "Lane!" she called as she waved a bit back. It was good to see people that she knew it gave her company when her brother wasn't there. The new boy in the bed next to her got up and she got up after him and grabbed his hand "You shouldn't be walking around if your sick. If your bored my brother left a deck of cards." she said not noticing the change in his voice.
