It had been a while since he had last been on this roof top, arguing with the Senshi of Medicine and her determination to call a bluff he hadn't been making. He wasn't here to prove he hadn't been kidding, though he did think that could be a bit of fun... he was here to see if there was any word on the crashed racers he'd called in that knight. They'd been hurt, some badly, and as an unrelated person, there wasn't really another way to know what was going on. He had to admit it was pretty friggin' cold to be up here without full leathers though, and he paced a bit to stay warmer as he moved around on the roof top. Last time he'd been up here, she had appeared quickly, but if she was inside on duty, he could be up here for a while. "Alright alright, c'mon. Take an... not-smoking break or something." He muttered, turning in bored circles, his eyes on the stars. Somewhere out there was Mars, somewhere on mars... Kairatos. He needed to visit at some point.

Having completed her shift, Marcella powered up into her more magical doctor form as Asclepius of Medicine to put in patrol time on her way home. As soon as she had traded her scrubs and the parka over them for flowing robes that left her shoulders bare, she sensed a presence close by. Like, on the roof just above her.
The last time she had felt someone so close, it had been a hostile energy belonging to a non-hostile Negaverse officer. Sharp-tongued and crabby, but one who had performed a good deed. It had been a strange encounter.
Still, it was a relief to find that this one was decidedly on her side. And then it occurred to her that whoever it was might be in need of the medical facilities, either for him- or herself, or for some poor civilian. It would not be the first time.
Asclepius hopped up to the roof level and approached the stranger, waving and calling out as she came close.
"Hey, is everything alright?"

The blond Knight of Mars flashed her a wicked grin as she approached, amused at something about her question he didn't immediately reveal. "I dunno, you tell me. You're the one who works here." He noted. "I came to check in on a few idiots who crashed while racing a while ago, but I was wearing a different uniform at the time." HE]/b] thought it was kind of funny not to be recognized at least, though he wasn't sure if it was just the change in power signature, the change in uniform, or even the magic of being in powered form that made him a little difficult to recognize.
"I seem to recall you were pretty sure at the time that I was bluffing too." He pointed out, now that he thought of it.

Asclepius stared at him for a moment, then it registered who the stranger was. Of course she did not recognize him, now purified.
"Realgar?" she asked, then immediately corrected, "Sorry, what's the new name?" A smile appeared on her lips. "Your real name now?"
Were she the sort for rushing in for hugs, she might have done so, but Asclepius kept her composure as she hopped down to the same roof level as the knight. She was glad to see him alive and well. Better than that, purified. So it took her an extra moment to come up with the information on the street racers he had called in to the ER all those weeks before.
"Ahh, they all survived," the Senshi of Medicine replied, glancing upwards as she thought. "All three have gone home already, but one has an operation coming up to take out the metal plate in his ankle once the bones are healed together, and one of the others is still taking some physical therapy."
Asclepius stepped up to him, inclining her chin to study his face. "You did good."

"I didn't do that much, Iris did all the heavy lifting." He chuckled, holding out his hands and turning in a brief circle so she could get a look at his uniform. "Bit colder than the old gear." He added, amused in spite of this. "Glad they pulled through, I was a bit worried at the time. Nasty s**t, and it's Kairatos. Even got a power up in the process. So far no one's tried to test it out though, I'm a little disappointed. But then maybe I shouldn't be surprised that they're paying so little attention to the fact they goddamn lost an agent." He shrugged slightly as he imparted this tidbit. "Any other excitement going down?" Surely there had to be something he could do. He hadn't expected side changing to be this... quiet.

The brown-haired girl bubbled with a few dozen questions about his purification, but was not sure if it would be appropriate to ask. Perhaps if she sought out Iris, she could ask the princess, as well.
"Glad to meet you again, Kairatos," she settled on for now, then quirked a brow and asked, "You still remember my name, right? I think you're basically the first person I've met who actually has purified, so I'm still not quite sure how it all works."
Asclepius glanced away for a moment then, and added, "I've met a few people I'd like to bring over to our side, though. Asteroids from my group. I just like to think that they're not all lost, you know?" Looking back to Kairatos, she went on, "My excitement has been discovering them, I guess. And some on our side, too, but you know, being Senshi of Medicine and all, I feel like I should come up with some way to cure more of the Negaverse."

"Remember it sure, but pronouncing it is a different matter." He admitted. "In spite of the spiffy new duds, I did not come with a degree in, Greek or... Latin or what have you." He shrugged slightly as she talked about 'curing' the negaverse. He did have a different take on it after all. "I think your problem is thinking of it like a disease. It's not really, it's... more insidious than that, or not like a a disease you go to the hospital and get a pill for. It's more like.... well it's one part brain washing and the rest of it's more like all the parts of you that make you feel guilt or stuff are written on a chalk board, and Chaos is some little s**t that sneaks in and erases it in little bits so you don't know it's doing it, until by the time you do notice, if you ever do, you don't really have the parts left that would care. It's more like Oh. Huh. Weird. You're gonna find people that have gotten sucked in by all the promises of power and 'family' and glory and s**t and find out that it falls short of the brochure, but the stronger they are, the more deeply entrenched you're going to find out that s**t is. Hell, I was just a Captain and damn it took everything Iris had in her."

"Asclepius," she enunciated for him. "Sorry it's a bit of a mouthful, but I didn't get to choose it."
The Senshi of Medicine fell quiet then, taking in the information Kairatos offered with a few slight nods. She hated being wrong, but on the other hand, if her approach was incorrect and ineffective, Asclepius wanted to know. Her brow furrowed at his words, and worked it in with the information she had gained from Zia, as well.
"So ... someone has to want to be cured, then?" the brown-haired girl asked. "Or, purified, rather. They have to want the bits Chaos has erased from the blackboard redrawn for them?"

"That's the way I understand it." Kairatos nodded in agreement. "Maybe part of why Chaos acts the way it does on people Make it harder to loose people if they don't care enough to... you know. Care." It was still strange feeling. All that rage, resentment, and slowly having everything that held him back from being just as ruthless as any youma being chipped away. He wasn't entirely sure now that there weren't hints left, flecks of darkness that might have been left behind waiting to bleed free and drag him back down. "I don't know what would happen if you tried to force purify someone who didn't want it. I wouldn't recommend it though. It took so much out of Iris, that I sure as hell wouldn't want to be at close range with someone who I'd just burned a lot of energy pissing off. Especially someone who could reach in and express their displeasure on my starseed."

Asclepius nodded, crossing one arm over her chest and reaching up with the fingers of the other to touch her bottom lip as she thought. "So maybe it's almost more like an addiction rather than a disease, where we would have to get someone to stop ... drinking the kool-aid, so to speak, before we move the energy plug from the negative to the positive," she murmured, half to herself.
Then she glanced back to Kairatos. "If you don't mind me asking, what drove you to change?"

"Got tired of KoolAid, wanted a beer." Kairatos quipped, teeth flashed in a wicked, conspiratorial grin. "...Seriously though that's not far off from the truth. Zinkenite signed me on. He promised me power, but all he delivered was a dog collar and a dog house I never seemed to be good enough to get out of. No matter how hard I tried, or what I said or did, I wasn't smart enough, skilled enough.... anything enough. He'd just roll his eyes and wander off behind closed doors with his select set of favorites. I told Serpentite once I was tired of being treated like an idiot by a shitty kid I used to rescue from his own locker. I was sick of it, even if I don't actually remember the locker bit. I was tired of knowing some s**t a** brat jumped up on going from bullied to bully controlled my life, could summon me at the drop of a hat and decided if I'd jumped through enough hoops to be stronger. I know there were more like me. They're only an army when they're not being a goddamn high school cool kids club with murderous tendencies. The ones like me are the ones you might get. The ones who don't get the back pats and attaboys and the assurance they're killing for the side of angels. Those are the ones who might turn."

The Senshi of Medicine nodded, laughing once at his joke.
After a moment's silence, she told him, "I can't promise this won't also be a thankless job, but hopefully you'll also be happier with yourself." Asclepius sighed. It was hard for her sometimes, too; almost more life-and-death than the daily happenings in the Destiny City ER. But she also knew there was no way she would be able to stop fighting and keep a clear conscience.
"Oh yeah, if I forgot to mention, or if you don't remember, I work here at the hospital when I'm not saving the world in a skirt," Asclepius added. "So if you or anyone you find needs help, you can bring them here and ... well, there's one senshi, at least, in the ER on your side."

"I'll keep that in mind, I might need that ace up my sleeve!" So far he'd been lucky enough not to have come away from any serious scrapes, but he wasn't fool enough to think this could go on forever. Even if no one came to try and shut him up, sooner or later, he'd get hurt, even if it was just jumping off something wrong.

"And, I guess also let me know if you ever want to go out on patrol or something," she added. "My magic is all support, so it's really only useful if I go along with someone."
Asclepius glanced down to the hospital. "If nothing else, you can meet me back here in about two weeks, and I can give you another update on the kids from before?" She smiled a little and shrugged lightly. "Or any other strays you might bring by."Ryuthulhu (( Aah sorry, lost track of this for a while. Shall we call it a wrap here? ))

"I'll try to make sure I'm not the cause of them, but yeah. I'd appreciate any further updates." Kairatos grinned. "Drop me a line if you want, too. I'm also up for a team up whenever."
