 The lake is pristine, the layer of ice coating the top glistens in the sun. It is a rather nice day, and the snow has completely cleared up, so it isn't terribly chilly out, but of course, not so warm that the ice on the lake would melt. A few circles of water are visible on the right side of the bank, where everyone had gone ice-fishing the other day!
A small wooden stand seems to have popped up on the opposite lake-side overnight. Weird, but free! Even if you’ve never tried ice skating before, you decide to borrow a free pair of ice skates and cut loose on the well frozen over lake.

Jack continued his scouting after getting pulled into a snowball fight, his black hair had a coating of white and he was shivering a bit as he walked over to the frozen lake. There seemed to be a large amount of people gathered over on one end so he headed for the other side of the lake. Which was surprisingly deserted other than him and a small wooden stand. He paused for a moment to wonder why no one was in this area but shrugged it off and continued to look around for a bit. [entering from snowball fight] Natsuko-neko Ice skating run in initiated!

Zak had followed Jack from the snowball fight to the ice skating part of the trip. Flora in his arms he looked over the frozen lake as he walked to the wooden stand to put on some skates. In the mean while Flora had left her trainer and started to freeze over the lake once more making the ripply ice of the lake into a smooth and flat surface, making sure her trainer and others wouldn't hurt themselves.
"Thanks Flora" Zak called out, this was his first time doing this and falling would be inedible. Once his skates were on Zak took to the ice, he started off fine, but after a few slides he lost his balance and fell backwards.

Page made straight for the frozen lake. She'd never been ice skating and true to her word it was something she intended to try! Data on the other hand hung back, wary of the icy expanse.
"Ohhh come on Data." Page soothed as she tugged the skates onto her feet. "It can't be too hard and if we fall the ice is thick enough it won't bust." She reached over and scratched the pikachu's ears. "And, if there are any pokemon under there they can't get through. Or at worst they're water type and you can handle that I'm sure!" She tied off the last lace and awkwardly shoved herself to her feet. Immediately her arms pinwheeled and she flopped backwards, landing in the snow at the edge of the ice.
"Ooowwww..." Page sat up slowly, shifting to her knees before attempting to rise again to her feet. "Heh... at least I got that out of the way?" She asked Data. At least this time she was standing.
Data just huffed as he stepped onto the ice. Four feet proved better than two as he slid around in small circles, over correcting and sending himself sprawling across the ice.

Sunny and Mr Grim headed over to the ice skating. "This should be a lot more fun for both of us don't you think." Mr Grim was not very sure about that since he did not know why humans would want to walk on ice. But if it would be something funny to watch Sunny do then he was all for it. He fallowed behind her laughing. When Sunny got there she got a set of ice skates and changed he shoes to skates and moved over to the lake. She pulled Mr Grim over to the lake and started to skate. Much to Mr Grim's Disappointment Sunny knew how to skate something she had picked up on her travels. She noticed how some of the other skaters had a harder time with the ice. She skated over to Page. "Do you need some help?" [entered from snow ball fight]

 Lennyka stood at the threshold before the frozen lake, Daffodil clutching onto the hem of her jacket as the two stared at it. Several people were already out on the surface and, as the two descended down the hill that rolled into the bank, they had the intention of joining. Approaching the stand, the Rocket agent nabbed a pair of skates for herself and leaned against the wooden structure to put them on.
"Remember the last time we went ice skating, Daff?" she asked her companion. "Saffron's rink was big and fancy, but nothing like this... There is a first time for everything, though."
"Rai," Daffodil agreed with a nod.
Plodding over to the ice, Lennyka gently lowered her foot to it. It jerked to the left when she applied her weight, nearly throwing her to the snow, but the agent fixed her limb straight on the blade before repeating the action on the other. Pushing herself from the bank, she glided a linear path straight to the middle of the lake before turning to Daffodil and beckoning her on.
"C'mon!" she called.
With a chagrin, the Raichu stepped a hind paw onto the lake and pushed herself off as Lennyka did. Despite a small tumble, she managed to keep her balance, and beamed up to the Rocket when she did.
"Heh, g'job," Lennyka congratulated her. "You used to fall all the time back in Saffron. Give me your paws."
Extending her paws up to Lennyka, the teal-haired woman bent at the waist and clasped her hands with them and started to drag Daffodil along with her. The blades of the skates made a whisking sound across the surface of the lake as the Rocket twirled and made figure eights as she pulled her Raichu along.

"Pika!" Data scooted out of the way, rolling over on the ice as another trainer skated smoothly up to them. Page grinned as she stood carefully, arms out for balance. Already she was proud that she was standing despite the fact that she had yet to go anywhere. In her mind she had already accomplished something. "I've never skated before!" She replied with breathless excitement, feeling a little ridiculous but being entirely too happy to care. Sure she was 20 years old and honestly didn't live that far from here but that didn't mean she'd ever learned! Snow games consisted of snowpokes and hot cocoa for her family! A sleigh, snowball fights, skating, it was all new to her and she wanted a taste of all of it. Data snorted, hiding amusement at his new trainer. She was rather silly, even for a human. He watched the other pair skating as the Raichu let it's trainer drag it across the ice.

Lennyka let go of Daffodil. The Raichu spun several circles before getting dizzy and falling back onto the eyes. The Rocket agent laughed to herself and skated over to her.
"Sorry about that, Daffodil!" she apologized as she helped the Electric-type up.
"Raiiii," the Raichu replied woozily. As she came to her senses, she shifted her gaze away from Lennyka to the lake. Noticing a familiar, yellow body, Daffodil excitedly got to her feet and skidded over to the Pikachu.
"Ah- Daff?" Lennyka blinked as she watched her Raichu give a greeting.
"Rai!" she cheered. It been a long time since Daffodil met any member of her kind. "Rai, rai!"
"Oh Arceus, Daff-" The Rocket bent at the waist and placed her hands at her shoulders and pulled her back a bit. "Don't be so rude, they may be shy."

Sunny Understood, "Do not worry I only know because I picked it up over my travels." She thought about it. There were some places that you can not get to with out crossing frozen lakes. "Would you like me to teach you how to skate. Do not worry I will go slow." She put out her hand to Page. Mr. Grim came up behind Sunny and offered a ghostly hand to Data. He was not actually on the ice he was floating just above it he could step on the ice but he did not want to make a fool of him self. *Shall I carry you as I go around the lake.*

At first Jack didn't mind that a few people had shown up on the abandoned lake right after him. Then he realized that that one of them had been at the snow ball fight. They had followed him, people were following him. The rocket continued to walk around the lake avoiding the skating booth, he was trying to act normal while panicking internally. Why was he being followed? Did they realize, find out he was a rocket? He hadn't brought anything with him that would give him away and he was pretty sure he didn't say anything that would. Maybe it had something to do with his father? The thought sent a shiver of terror down Jack's spine. While he had no idea what the team had told his father, if they had told him the true that jack had joined them or if they said he was dead. There was little doubt in his mind that if his father found out he had joined team rocket that the older man would be mad enough to kill him.
The teen sighed inwardly he needed to stop thinking about it, it was only making the panic worse. He wasn't sure what to do if someone was following him. He'd have to talk to Xander about it later. But right now he had to focus on losing the tail. The easiest way to do that would be to act normal right? Yeah, He'd just head back to the snowball fight and wait for the second round to start.

Getting tired of skating, Lennyka slipped off her skates, dropped them in the box, and exited to the snowpoke making contest. Daffodil follow after her.

Zak sat for a while on the ice, while doing so he watched as several others joined in on the skating and then left after a while. Slowly he helped himself up off of his bum, and then moved to skate around a bit. Flora did her best to help the boy from not falling once again. "Come on Flora lets see how far we can go." the trainer called to his pokemon.
The two were then off, seeing how far across the lake the two could get before they had to turn back. There were some spots that the two couldn't get to, but after quick work of Flora's ice beam the thin ice was thickened and the two could continue on their way.

What's this? A small patch of snow had been sitting on the lake, near the group of trainers skating on the lake. A gust of wind blew through the valley, picking up snow and carrying it, glittering, into the air. The icy flakes sparkled on the air, but there was something more intriguing on the ice. An egg! It must have been buried in the small snow bank that had just been blown away. Egg Prompt That poor egg! The bright orange object is hard to miss. If you're interested in a shot at winning the pokemon inside the egg, RP your trainer investigating, guessing what's inside, trying to keep it warm, etc. and include at the bottom of your post "I'd like to take that egg home!" You have until the end of the event, Feburary 23rd, to post for the egg. The egg will be raffled off at the end of the event.

Cara and Sage had done what they could in the Snow-poke contest and now they had to wait for their entry to be judged. They both had decided that in the mean time, they would try their hands and paws at ice skating so they made their way to the ice covered pond and took in the scene before them, watching the others who were around. She spotted Zak and smiled, waving at him and Flora. "Hey Zak!" she shouted as she walked over to the shack and grabbed a pair of skates. Sage barked a greeting, sitting on the snow and wagging her tail while I put the skates on.

Jack wandered back to the ice skating rink after he had visited viper in the cabin. He hadn’t finished scouting the area which was the reason he had come back. The teen got a pair of ice-skates this time. It would be weird if he wasn't trying to skate at an ice-skating place. So the teen set of to survey and ice-skate while attempting to blend in. It took a few wobbling starts and getting scraped as he fell down but eventually he managed to figure out how to skate without falling down.
A sudden and strong gust of wind blew a bunch snow around and the teen lost balance and slid on the ice. Luckily he managed to not hit himself with the blades that where on the bottom of the ice-skates. Getting up he looked around and noticed a strange object he had missed on his first recon of the area. Skating over to it, Jack was surprised to find that it was a Pokémon egg.
It was cold out and the teen doubted that it would last very long on its own without freezing to death. So he gently picked it up and headed back to the booth near the lake where he switched out of the borrowed ice-skates and into his boots. He unzipped his sweater shirt and put the egg in before zipping it back up. Hopefully that would keep it warm enough until he got it back to the cabin.
Keeping one hand under the egg so that it wouldn't fall out of his shirt he started the trek back to the cabin, wondering why the egg was out there all alone. Had the mother Pokémon been scared off by the sudden arrival of people? While he had been the first one to the ice skating place and he hadn’t seen any Pokémon that didn't mean anything. If that was the case the fourteen year old felt bad for the egg. The other possibility was that both its parents had gotten captured or killed leaving it alone, or that it was one of Captain’s prizes that the old man had managed to forget about. Jack hoped that the leader of the event hadn't forgotten about a poor egg.
Entering the cabin Jack sat near the fire place and took the egg out of his shirt to look at it more closely. He wondered what kind of Pokémon was in it. The coloration looked familiar, he had seen a Pokémon that was orange with a bit of blue and yellow it was a water type wasn't it? That would explain why the egg would be so close to the water. A water type Pokémon would make a nest near water after all. What was it called? Buizel! Yeah that was it. The thought of the weasel Pokémon made him shudder internally. The last one he saw had led to an unfortunate encounter with a pirate lady whom he was pretty sure was insane. But it did fit, a water type at a lake, was mostly orange with blue arms fin things and a yellow collar with a creamy white stomach. All the colors that were on an egg where on a standard buizel.
Viper flicked out her tongue and was surprised to catch a taste of her trainer. Was he back all ready? The Ekans slid onto the floor with a soft thump then flicked her tongue out again, that was definitely jack. Slithering out of the bedroom area the snake Pokémon headed into the open area of the cabin. Another flick of the tongue and she was assaulted with many different tastes from the food, the scent she was most interested in however was on the left tip of her fork so she slithered off to the left. The room grew warmer as she did which pleased the coldblooded snake. It wasn't long before she managed to find her trainer, and shoot him a glare for not visiting her first. Noticing an object in his hand she flicked out her tongue again, seems like he managed to find a Pokémon egg. Viper rattled a quick greeting before slithering up jack's egg and onto his lap to get a better look at the egg.
"Oh hey Viper" Jack said the rattle of his ekans pulling him out of his thoughts. He held the egg father out as the snake climbed up his lap and moved it back once she was settled, he didn't want her to accidently knock it over. He watched as she flicked her tongue onto the egg, most trainers would probably worry about it getting eaten but jack new that Viper was only trying to learn about the strange egg. What surprised him however was that the Snake Pokémon suddenly curled herself around the egg. "Wh-what are you doing?" He asked a cold blooded Pokémon couldn’t incubate and egg could it?
Viper snorted and flicked her tongue out at her trainer before rattling her tail and hissing at him. Once she got him to focus on her she swung her head over to the fire place. It took a moment and a few more gestures but she was pleased when he finally understood and placed her and the egg on the side of the fireplaces' masonry. It was a great source of heat, almost as good as Rei had been, and it provided enough room for viper to move the egg father from source if it started to get too hot. Not to mention she got to keep warm as well.
Jack was glad that viper was guarding the egg, it meant he could head back out and explore or hang it with Xander some more and not worry about anything to happen to the egg. Also Viper had an excuse not to leave the warm cabin. The teen smiled a bit as he watched the snake covered egg. Hopefully he was right about it being a buzil, and it wasn't something like an oddly colored torchic. Because he really didn't need to accidently create a cockatrice Pokémon, which would be bad. Was there even a cockatrice like Pokémon? He wasn't really sure but he hoped that nothing weird would happen because a snake was incubating the egg.

"I'd like to take that egg home!"
