A grumpy, vermilion unicorn trudged his way up the rock ridge, cursing and grumbling under his breath as his hooves slipped from time to time. It wasn't an ideal place for a pony to go frolicking around, but that was one reason he had chosen it - there weren't too many likely to come bothering him here. It wasn't exactly his home-sweet-home on Smokey Mountain, either, but at least it was close enough to Ponyville that he could watch the residents go about their everyday lives and head into town on hoof if he so chose. He did not have such a luxury from his mountain cave.
Among the rambling rocks, Hard Truths could at least find a good night's rest without much chance of him being disturbed. Due to the unfriendly terrain, not many ventured out there and he didn't need to explain himself, but he still wasn't comfortable with changing form until it was too dark out for most ponies to see. It was a shame, too - those rocks would have been much easier to scale with claws as opposed to solid hooves.

Though the fact that not many would come up here if they were at least somewhat right in the head, the same could not be said about the little filly that began to scale her way up the ridge as well. The smaller earth pony made her own wobbly way up to the top, having normally used this same place as her own way to sight see in a sense. However, she never really came up here to watch the ponies go about their lives. The little Salvo always came here in order to see the clouds that herded up here in some of the most astonishing ways. Or well, it always looked that way to her. Not many could see what she saw, which would often make her seem strange if not crazy to love the clouds so much.
Finally, reaching the top of the ridge, the sunny filly plopped down immediately to get a short rest. Once that was over, she quickly bounced back up with a flick of her grassy mane and bounded to her favorite spot without much thought...or care to notice who else was there. And it was because of this that she soon crashed into someone, giving a yelp as she fell back on her flank. "Ow--" Shaking it off, Sal looked over at who or what she hit, finding out quickly that it was very well a unicorn male with some strange...reddish color for his body and gray mane. She was only sure about the mane, as she wasn't familiar with all types of different colors yet. Nope, that's what school was for! "Sorry 'bout that, sir!" The filly quickly apologized, hoping she hadn't frightened the other too much. Though, as she looked for a little longer, Sal couldn't help but feel as though the other was...some what familiar? Perhaps, but that was crazy so she shrugged off the thought altogether. What mattered now was being sure that the other was fine, not silly questions like that Wasibru Eyyy, i'm alive o u o! And finally responding >u>

"Ergh!" With a grunt of annoyance, the stallion turned his head to see who had run into him, his expression twisted into a bitter scowl. At the sound of the filly's voice and her brightly-colored appearance, however, the unicorn's ears swerved forward attentively and he did a double-take. His scowl eased into something more perplexed than irritated. It was a few minutes after the filly's apology that he spoke.
"You," he said slowly, his deep, gravelly voice low as he turned to face her head-on. "What are you doing all the way up here by yourself?" He squinted at her suspiciously. "It's dangerous for little foals like you."The Voice of Time ((YAY! I missed you! *hugs* Haha, it seems Truths is going to be growing in Phonyland soon, too, whenever Maxx and Jun get time to do him. XD Have you been around there lately? The newest growings are so pretty!))
