He hadn't really powered up since the whole Santa fiasco--he was definitely never doing that again--and therefore he was quite behind on his energy quotas. Okay, he was always behind on his energy quotas because he was quite terrible at being sneaky, which meant the person he was energy draining almost always caught him in the act. That didn't mean he wasn't still out there trying. He had requirements to fulfill after all.
So he was out and about looking for an easyish target.
He eventually found his way into a club, picked up a girl(but only for draining purposes, he had no intention of letting her mack on him) and convinced her to step outside for a chat. Which was most certainly not what he intended to happen so naturally it didn't.
He did angle his tall frame to make it appear as though they were deep in a conversation, hand on her waists and he did his thing. For the first time since he joined the negaverse things were going smoothly.
For now.

When she found Lyngvi, it didn't look like the mess with the Jell-o youma had left any permanent marks, which was good. "Let's go find trouble before trouble finds us," Megiddo said to the other page, and that was as good an opening line as any to the patrol that ensued, which so far had been pretty quiet and had Megiddo thinking they should call the thing off and go home until she sensed the low-level power signature outside a nightclub. "That could be something," she said to Lyngvi. "You go that way, cover the other end of the street, let's box him in." Now, if everything went according to plan, this ought to be easy. Megiddo crept along the roofline, hoping that keeping out of sight would be the same thing as keeping out of mind - a club meant drunk civilians, and drunk civilians meant good targets for energy draining. In theory. In practice, maybe the signature she was sensing was just a lieutenant taking a smoke break. Or, she appraised, peering over the roofline, he could totally be draining some chick. Megiddo frowned. "Showtime," she said to herself, and hoped Lyngvi was thinking the same thing. Leaping from the roof, she summoned her pitcher into her hands. "Okay," she announced. "You're being creepy, and you need to step away from the drunk girl, or I'm going to hit you with this, and you're not going to like it."

Up until now, Lyngvi's experience with the other side had been, pretty exclusively, destroying their monsters. She would argue that it was because she was doing her part for the safety of the city, and needed to do no more -- or, perhaps, that she had other bad guys to chase down out of uniform, and that sometimes it was more important to pay the bills. In truth, she simply had never had anyone really explain the war to her, and that was still true. Not that she'd admit it to strangers. So when Megiddo seemed to know what she was doing, Lyngvi was only too happy to go along -- to split up -- to set a trap. She didn't drop down to join her fellow page. Instead she waited on the fire escape near the entrance of the alley and watched, ready to pounce him if he tried to run.

If he knew what to be paying attention for, which clearly he didn't, he would have been aware of the two order-aligned energy signals making their way towards him. Then he wouldn't have been so caught off-guard when the purple haired page descended and called him a creep.
He jerked back, surprised, and his fingers curled tightly around the small orb he had managed to gather. "Excuse me?" He managed to say as pocketed his prize. "I don't see how I'm being 'creepy', we came out together of our own free will and she's hardly drunk." Which was true, the girl was certainly tipsy, and now drowsy, but she wasn't drunk. He didn't want to completely take advantage of someone, that would make him far too uncomfortable.
He did step back however, as the girl shifted. He saw the pitcher and wasn't entirely keen on being hit with it. That would hurt. As much as he wanted to tell the purple haired woman to leave them alone, he could tell that she had no intention of doing so. Instead he continued to back up, eying her. "You're rather bossy."

By now, Megiddo knew enough about the bog standard Negaverse officer to know that they had super-skewed concepts of creepy. She didn't have time to argue about why picking girls up at clubs to go all energy vampire on them was definitely predatory behavior, which was fine, because she was pretty sure the point wouldn't get across anyway. "I know," she replied, feeling confident in the weight of her pitcher and the tightness of her grip. "I like that about me." She could sense Lyngvi's position in the alley - the older page had picked a good place, and that doubled her confidence. "So, let's try this again," said Megiddo, taking a step towards the lieutenant. That was the ticket - get him away from the girl, and towards Lyngvi's hiding spot. "You're gonna let her go, and then you're gonna go home, and you're going to think super hard about your life and your choices, because buddy, trust me, your choices suck." For one thing, he was part of the Negaverse, and that said a lot about the dude.

"...you're just going to send him home?" Incredulous, it came drifting from the other end of the alley -- Lyngvi not quite able to stop herself from chiming in. Maybe she didn't understand, in full, what was going on -- but it was creepy, and his energy felt like crawling spiders up her spine. Unpleasant. Wrong. So maybe she wasn't hiding so much, now. He wouldn't be able to see her, shadowed by the building, on the fire escape, but he'd know she was there, certainly...

There were two of them?!
Inwardly, his stomach twisted into knots and he was two steps away from a minor panic attack. Outwardly, he stood taller and tried to appear menacing (which only kinda worked because he wasn't much taller than the page with purple hair). He wasn't going to let them know that he was possibly intimidated by some girls. "I don't see why I should," he replied, his voice a little shaky and he cursed himself for it. Silverah Short post is short, sorry :<

Lyngvi had a point, Megiddo considered. Gunn would probably be the first one to disagree with her instructions to the lieutenant, and the page flinched inwardly at fear of having let her mentor and/or lord and savior down. "You're right," she called to the other page. "That was a bad idea. Scratch that." Besides, the negaverser had already taken the option off the table by trying to stare her down. He was about as tall as her older brother, Megiddo thought, and she'd been able to take Absalom in a fight when she was like, what, ten? It wouldn't do to get cocky, but - piece of cake. Maybe. Her older brother didn't exactly have super-powers. "Well, there was that bit about me hitting you upside the head with this," she said, adjusting her grip on her pitcher, so her fingers were wrapped neatly beneath the handle and it was oriented with the butt facing... a functional direction. "Cuz, you know, offer still stands." Feint to the left, charge to the right - Megiddo made a dash towards the lieutenant. "CHAAAAAAAARGE," she hollered, hoping Lyngvi would get the idea.
