Appearance
Visual Appearance:

Clothing and style:
Rather elegant. Wears collared shirts and business skirts often, as she feels she has an image to uphold for her family name. Feels the most comfortable in plain, loose clothing however.
Personality
Likes: Dogs, dependable people, observing others, small and low-key acts of kindness, selflessness, classical music, feeling competent/excelling at something, weak towards cute things but tries to hide it
Dislikes: Selfish behavior, crowds, loud environments, feeling helpless
Fears: Will kill spiders but big ones are a no, being alone in a crowded area, cannot stand horror movies or anything horror-related
Strange Gestures and Obsessions: Repeats herself when she's nervous. Because she only spent a year learning Japanese before going on exchange, she will occasionally use the wrong word, or not know what word to use. She really hates it.
Overall Personality:
More quiet, especially in the company of those she is not entirely familiar with. She makes jokes (especially puns) inside her head a lot, but only speaks her mind and shares these when she around those she is comfortable with. She is also more awkward with people she is not close with, but hides it well (as the child of a businessman she has had to interact with many strangers and acquaintances for business relation purposes). Consciously tries to maintain a cool and collected, high-class image, though she lets it slip around close friends. Is fiercely loyal and attached to those she truly loves, including her family.
She has close male childhood friends, but has zero experience with non-platonic relationships with guys and gets visibly flustered and awkward at any indication that a male is interested in a non-platonic relationship.
She currently doesn't really know anybody at the academy, and mostly keeps to herself.
Social Life
History: Jasmine was born into a wealthy Chinese family, who are not considered nobility. This has led to some snubs and hidden snide remarks directed towards her parents during business relations and formal events with some rich elite. While her parents have never indicated this bothered them, she knew they weren't completely unaffected and as a result has worked hard to excel in everything and build a high-class image to uphold the family name.
Ever since her brother was born, he became the heir to her father and she was no longer under any pressure to take over her father's business. However, out of habit, she continued to excel academically without knowing what she wanted to do in the future. Jasmine isn't sure what she wants to do in the future and feels lost. Because of this, she wanted to get away and go on exchange to another country to experience new things. Partially due to her love of Japanese culture and partially because of Japan's concentration of international business leaders, she decided to go on exchange to Japan for at least a year. She speaks fairly fluent Japanese, as she planned in advance and studied the language intensely beforehand.
Hobbies: Singing and playing piano as well as violin. She's had lessons in the latter two since she was child. Wistfully wishes she could play guitar but is worried about her image as it is a less sophisticated instrument primarily used by commoners. Used to play a lot of video games with her younger brother, but forced herself to stop during middle school.
Primary School, Middle School, and Extra-School Activities: Was involved in squash, horse-riding, archery, and kendo. Enjoys many sports but has been encouraged by her family to pursue the more high-class ones. Reasonably good hand-eye coordination and was quite good at soccer and basketball as a child.
