Natron leaned against the AC unit on the roof of the building where he'd brought Fangite, a reckless grin on his face. The General had promised his boyfriend training, physical combat practice, and he was going to deliver. "I'm not going to go easy on you," he warned, "so treat me like you would a real opponent."
Alright, so he'd be avoiding kill shots - he certainly didn't want Des dead - but otherwise? He wanted the Lieutenant to understand what a fight between two powered individuals was like.

"Right... and remind me whats fair again about a one on one fight between a Lieutenant and a General??" A brow raised behind hood and glasses. "Right... Assuming you can catch me.." Gabriel had seen that time Caitlyn and literally chased him over every surface of the house.
"Stab me in the arm with your little sickle and you will not be a happy camper for a long, long time."

"I'm going to carefully ignore the insult there and remind you that I'm not trying to hurt you too badly," Natron said, though he had to suppress a growl, "but the first time I really trained with General Painite, she stabbed me." It had also been the first time he'd ripped a starseed, and if he happened to actually hurt Des, he could teach him about that aspect of their powers as well.
"Before yo question fighting me, remember that I don't have magic, except teleportation - which I won't be using, because our enemies don't and training for something you won't face is a waste of time. But what would be fair about you going toe-to-toe with an Eternal or a Knight, and what makes you think they - or I, quite frankly - give two ******** about 'fair'?" He was General Natron tonight, not Gabriel Blake, and no matter what Des was to him under the uniform, he would treat him like any other Lieutenant while they were training together.

Fangite just grinned behind hind the mask. "It looks like a sickle, sorry." Though the grin quickly turned into a frown. "I don't need your pissy attitude. So if you're going to do something do it and stop acting like I can't handle myself. Or do we need to re enact the shade fight?"

Natron took a breath. It was really unfortunate that Des wasn't aware of all the increased physical capabilities that came from being a General - he suspected that the taller man wouldn't be expecting how quickly he could move.
And move he did, without another word, darting in close to drive his elbow into Fangite's gut.

Okay no.
He hadn't been expecting it. So there was a very good possibility that yes, Natron could catch him if he decided to pull his usual tricks. Des didn't remember Natron being that fast during the shade queen fight... but then again Natron really hadn't gone too far from him. The blue clad officer grunted when Natron collided with him.

Natron frowned. "Not gonna fight back?" He asked, sweeping a leg under Fangite's in an attempt to take him off his feet. "I told you, I'm not going easy on you."

"I never said that Grace." Natron may have knocked him off his feet but Fangite was up in a flash, rolling onto his shoulders and pushing himself up. "Why do you keep saying that. I never told you to go easy on me in the first place."

Natron just smirked, idly swinging his weapon. He'd promised not to teleport, of course, since it was a pointless exercise to deal with something like that when the enemy didn't have it, but no promises had been made about weapons, so he spun it faster and then swung the bladed end at Fangite. "If you're going to, do it."

"How do you go from a chained mace to that by the way?" Fangite asked as he ducked the weapon. "Also what the hell, how am I suppose to fight against that with these." He hissed as he pulled one of the knives from the pocket and threw it. "I've got rusty ones at home that are better then this."

Natron sidestepped the plastic knife. "You don't. You learn to make yourself your first weapon, and once you've learned how to do that, you'll end up promoted to Captain and get something actually ******** useful." Natron swung the kusarigama again, looking darkly amused. If this turned into a chase - that,d be fine, too.

"If by useful you mean standing there and watching your boyfriend aim your weapon better then you.." Fangite taunted as he danced around the weapon again. Then he shot forward into Natron's personal space. He grinned, leaning in real close almost like he was going to kiss the General. Another second later, his head moved to the side. "Tag. You're it. Love you." He whispered in the brunette's ear before shoving his fist in the guy's gut. He'd probably get yelled at till the sun rose for that added comment later, but it was worth it. "Catch me if you can pretty boy."
And with that, he took off running.

Damn, Fangite was fast - Natron was reminded that personal feelings aside, he really had made a good choice for the Negaverse when he corrupted his boyfriend. When Fangite's fist sank into his gut, he doubled over and coughed. "******** you," he called, taking a moment to catch his breath before chasing after the taller man.

Fangite had the gal to laugh when he heard Natron cough. "Maybe. But only if you catch me."

Natron sped up, seriously considering teleporting just to remind Fangite that he could - but he'd promised, and so he just ran as fast as he could, vaulting from the roof they were on to the next one with graceful , practiced ease. Certainly Des had mocked him for his clumsiness, but none of that was showing now.
