I'd like to clear up some miscommunications namely about booking/authority figure roles/Champions. We each have our own way about how we go about doing things
There are some things that bother me though about many things, basically what particular role is obligated and not obligated to do
What bookers are not obligated to do A booker is NOT obligated to do any sort of story line with you. A booker is NOT obligated to do any sort of RP with you A booker is NOT obligated to know every single detail about YOUR storyline A booker is NOT obligated to critic every single thing you do A booker is NOT obligated to read each and every single thing you do A booker is NOT obligated to make YOU happy A booker is NOT obligated to give YOU a match if you didn't make the roll call deadline a week late. A booker is NOT obligated to simply grant you a specific match because YOU want it A booker is NOT obligated to cater to YOU and what you 'think' you deserve A booker is NOT obligated to inform you that YOU have a match after it's been posted A booker is NOT obligated to give YOU advice on YOUR character A booker is NOT obligated to do anything other than what's below
What a booker IS obligated to do: Make sure those who ask for a match get a match Make sure those who don't want to work together aren't put together. Make sure those that are willing, able and wanting of a match get a match Make sure that those deserving of a win, win. Make sure the guild owner approves of your card
General Manager/Owner/Authority Figure roles A person with an Authority Figure role is NOT obligated to do a storyline with you A person with an Authority Figure role is NOT obligated to acknowledge some stupid a** segment you involve them in. A person with an Authority Figure role is NOT obligated to acknowledge your presence. An Authority Figure is NOT obligated to cater to YOU and what you 'think' you deserve An Authority figure is NOT obligated to give YOU advice on YOUR character
example: Do you see Dixie Carter/Vickie/Maddox/Kane/Authority interact with every single superstar on the roster? Nope, didn't think so.
Crew/Mods Crew are NOT obligated to receive any reward for their involvement in crew Crew SHOULD NOT end their own matches, unless prior permission is given Crew are NOT obligated to be champions in the guilds they're in, nor should they expect it. Crew are NOT obligated to cater to any one person, and what they 'think' they deserve. Crew members are NOT obligated to inform you that YOU have a match after it's been posted Crew members are NOT obligated to give YOU advice on YOUR character
Champions Champions are NOT obligated to answer each and every single stupid a** challenge that comes their way. Champions are NOT obligated to acknowledge your presence if you haven't done anything remotely worth doing to challenge said champion Champions are required to be active, else they more than likely will lose their title.
A guild owner A guild owner is NOT obligated to allow any one in their guild if they don't want them to be in it A guild owner is NOT obligated to explain how they run their guild a guild owner is NOT obligated to be on 24/7 running their guild A guild owner is NOT obligated to cater to YOU and what you 'think' you deserve A guild owner is NOT obligated to inform you that YOU have a match after it's been posted A guild owner is NOT obligated to give YOU advice on YOUR character
As an RPer As RPer, you SHOULD realize that there are some people that aren't going to like you. You can't please everyone, deal ******** with it and move the ******** on.
As a RPer you SHOULD realize that if someone doesn't want to work with you, take the ******** hint and leave them the ******** alone.
As a RPer you SHOULD realize that if you force someone's characters or anything else of THEIRS into something they don't want to do, especially without permission. You are an asshat.
As a PERSON, you should realize that some people have off days, and sometimes it's better to forgive and forget
As a person with common sense, if history dictates that a person is problematic, you should be cautious when dealing with them.
As a person with a brain, you should realize that if people avoid talking to you, wanting to RP with you and think you're an a*****e... You're probably an a*****e and you should work on that.

all seriousness, can I steal this and post this in DHW? Never thought to post something like this, but it hits the nail right on the head on our obligations and I can think of a few people in my guild that really need to see this to understand some things about why they're booked the way they are or why they are never booked.

To add, As an RPer, you SHOULD remember that RPing is about fun and creative thinking. If you aren't doing either of these things, then take a step back, take a deep breath, and think about what it is that you're trying to accomplish.
As an RPer, you SHOULD give people you are working with notice if you are unable to continue a story, in order to give said person time to plan what they'd like to do next.

I noticed a few of the notes repeated, like "help you out with your character" ... that many people asked for that? I don't generally need help with that.. except maybr picking a theme and maybe an opinion of a finisher

Sometimes the fairly obvious is often overlooked

I don't generally need help with that.. except maybr picking a theme and maybe an opinion of a finisher I think the key part of that is some people might be demanding the help, perhaps if people were nicer about it and just asked politely that wouldn't need to be said! xd
