We love our roleplayers here at Tears of the Moon. Thus, we are introducing this system in hopes that it will be a fun way to disburse perks and not annoying or arduous. If it proves to be a pain (for us or for you), it may be revised or disbanded in the future.
Roleplay points are a fairly simple system. The short version is that you roleplay as you normally would, then you tell us about it, we count up the points you've earned and record them, and then you can spend the points on cool perks. Sound like fun? Read on for the details!
Guidelines:
Staff are the final arbiters of what earns points and how points may be spent.
Roleplays may only be exchanged for points once by each participant. (For example, if Larry, Curly, and Moe have a PRP together that lasts a page, Larry can turn it in once for a point, and Curly and Moe can each do the same.)
Roleplays that have been "spent" for points can still be used as elder stage requirements.
Points do not have to be spent on the character that earned them, but they can only be spent by the player that earned them.
In general, points used to buy item edits should only be used to buy things that are appropriate to the character.
Please don't post anything here but RP point deposits and expenditures. Disputes about roleplaying points should be PM'ed to the staff, questions may either be PM'ed to the staff or posted in the main shop thread.
Roleplays are valued as follows:
Each full page (fifteen posts) of roleplay between you and one other person earns one point.
Solo RP's can earn up to one point per thousand words. (So a 500 word solo, if it's compelling and well-written, can earn a point, where a 1500 word solo could earn two, if it's of decent quality)
ORPs (Open roleplays) may earn one point, if you posted in it at least five times.
Roleplay Point Costs:
In future, costs may be adjusted up or down as necessary, and perks may be added or removed. Rreminder, new magic abilities can only be bought for drow characters.
