What TWLE is About
As mentioned on the guild home page, this guild is for all things written. We are here to provide a safe, fun, learning environment for any and all writers. Are you brand new, just writing your first essays in school and want to learn more? We have a place for you. Are you a veteran writer with some of your work published? Great! Come on in and teach someone something. Whatever your experience level, what really matters is dedication and activity level. If you are an active member who shows a real interest building the guild and helping others, then we want you here.
There will be events and contents being held at least once a month, so keep an eye out. It could be a poetry contest, guild wide RP, holiday related events, the possibilities are endless. Again, if you have suggestions or questions related to guild events, go visit the Suggestions/Questions Comments thread, we would love to hear from you.
If you found this guild and are checking things out before applying, feel free to look around. We are always looking for new members and would love to have you. Just copy the questions below in to your application and answer them.
Quote: 1. How did you find us? 2. Why do you want to join(RP, debate, writing, tutoring, etc.)? 3. On a scale of 1-5, how would you rate your literacy level(1 being the lowest)? 4. How active are you? 5. What is your writing experience?

Rules
Here are some standards that everyone in the guild should adhere to. Nothing complicated or difficult, but if you don't follow them, you will be removed from the guild.
1. This guild is about building literacy. Please no text chat or excessive emotes. 2. There are appropriate places for just about anything you want to write about here. Please don’t put a role play in the poetry forum, put things in the right place. 3. We are here to be a haven. That means, if you are being disruptive, spamming, flaming, being obnoxious in general, you will be warned. Three strikes, and you’re out. 4. Give credit where credit is due. If you didn’t have the original idea, don’t say you did. People found plagiarizing will be BANNED. 5. Follow Gaia ToS. Whether you like it or not, rules are rules, and I don’t want to see any inappropriate content in my forums.
In addition to this, a few words on activity. People found being inactive will after a time be removed from the guild, for a variety of reasons. I want there to be an accurate count of people in the guild, for one, and two, guild announcements cost money. I don't want to spend money on someone who isn't here. My activity standards aren't ridiculous, you don't have to be here every three days or making a post that often, but after about a month of inactivity, you will be removed. Removal for inactivity, however, does not mean banned. If you come back to Gaia and want back in, just reapply, and mention you were a previous member

First Things First
Before you go anywhere, do anything, POST anything in the guild go to the Introductions thread first! See who your fellow members are, tell us a bit about yourself, just get to know your new guild!
Once you've introduced yourself, feel free to start writing right away. Get an RP started, begin a discussion about your favorite new series or author, or post some poetry for people to see. It's a clean sheet and you have the pen!

What Goes Where
So, you noticed all the subforums? Their names kind of give you an idea of what is supposed to go there. Please, put things where they are supposed to go! If you have questions about what a specific subforum is supposed to contain, I will be posting descriptions at the start of each subforum.
If you still have questions, visit the Suggestions/Questions/Comments thread, we're happy to help you. In addition, if you have something you want to post and aren't quite sure where it goes, that can go in the questions thread as well. Don't be afraid to ask, I'd rather answer the same question a hundred times than have to move or delete threads.
In addition, please do not post new topics in the main forum! That is a crew-post only area. These posts will include guild information, like this thread here, the intro thread, recruitment threads, and other general posts. Crew and VC's, just tell me if there is something you want to put in the main forum, more than likely, it will be a yes. I just don't want any breakdowns in communication causing unnecessary drama.
Other crew post only areas include the archive forums! These are kept to store content we find particularly interesting, but is no long under discussion in the appropriate forum. This includes well thought out, written, and played role plays, contest winners, Featured Posts, the kind of thing that helps give people an idea of the history of the guild and its members. These forums are open for people to read, but only crew should be adding to the archives.
