Alex found himself in a bind - again. He,d slipped out of the house, this time sans alcohol, which meant he had absolutely nothing to blame for the fact that he was hurt but himself. Well, and the jackass who'd tried to hassle him - apparently he'd picked the wrong streets to wander, because some d**k in a business suit had decided he was probably a prostitute and had refused to take "no" for an answer, so Alex had to use physical force and in the ensuing fight had ended up with a sprained ankle. The d**k was gone, thanks to a boot to certain sensitive man parts, but Alex was pretty sure he wasn't going anywhere.
So he did the only thing he cold think to do - he called Luka.

He had to admit, he was a little surprised when his phone rang. Even more so when he saw it was Alex. ...For a kid who was telling him to go away just a few days ago, Alex was doing a piss poor job of staying away from Luka himself. "Alex?" He answered. "What's up. Did ya need something??"

Alex was frowning when Luka picked up. "Hey, um, I hate to bug you, but...I kinda got myself in trouble and I could use some help." He admitted, stretching out his leg and groaning quietly with pain. Even though he sometimes seemed to be doing everything in his power to push Luka away, he had to admit, he actually liked having the dude around.
If he couldn't trust someone who'd taken care of him and reassured him and been...generally pretty great when he was drunk (and oh, he remembered a lot about the time he had spent drunk) then who could he trust?

"What kind of trouble?" Luka said as he began packing up his things. "...Alex, are you hurt?" He asked quietly, just barely hearing the groan himself. "Where are you? I'll be there as soon as I can."

"I'll explain when you get here, okay? I hurt my ankle, so I'm not going much of anywhere." Alex sighed, and then he looked up. "I'm in the entrance of an alley off 37th."

Luka just quietly groaned and scrubbed at his face. He wondered if this was how Des felt when the other man had to deal with either Alex or himself. "I can't leave you alone for a minute can I? I'll be there in a bit.. Just hold tight."
A sigh later and Luka was mumbling to himself as he pulled up to the alley and got out of the car.

Alex curled in on himself, alert for anyone else who might try to hassle him since he was pretty obviously incapacitated. He didn't relax until he actually saw Luka, and when he did he grinned. "You are a lifesaver," he said. "I'm glad I have someone like you I can count on."

"I'ma remind you of this the next time you threaten me and tell me to go away." Luka said as he kneeled down next to Alex. He looked Alex over, noting a few scratches here and there. And of course his ankle of course, hard to miss. "...Alright.. I'm going to ask this once, and only once. Do I really wanna know what happened?"

"Some creep tried to pick me up and wouldn't take no for an answer, so it got a little physical, that's all," Alex said, shrugging. "I'm fine, really, except for the ankle thing. He got off a lot worse."

"So no. No I can't leave you alone." Luka mumbled flatly before standing up and holding his hands out of Alex. "Come on... Let's go get you checked out at the clinic..." It might just be swollen, but Luka just wanted to make sure.

"I promise, you can," Alex said, and then he shook his head. "I can't stand, I tried - it's definitely sprained," his smile became a little uncomfortable - he really hated admitting how badly he'd gotten himself hurt. "I'm sorry for dragging you out here."

"Says the teenager who got drunk and nearly bashed his skull in on a playground.." Luka just made a noise, before reaching down and pulling Alex up. "You still have one good foot. Lean against the wall for a minute." Crouching a bit, Luka got down low enough so Alex could easily hop onto his back.
After a short drive and a visit to both a clinic and a drug store, Alex once again found himself deposited on Luka's over sized bean bag of a bed.

Alex sighed, leaning back on the bed. "Thanks. I knew I could count on you," he said, for what had to be the third or fourth time since Luka had shown up. "And, uh, thanks for not calling home. I need to get a job and move out soon, I really do." He sighed. "Maybe some restaurant is hiring waiters..."

"Right how many times have you tried to shoo me off again?" He asked as he shoved a pillow under Alex's ankle. He disappeared for a moment to get Alex a glass of water before dropping on the bed next to him. "Who would I call? I only know you and your sister." The green haired boy shrugged before tilting his head. "...There's a spare room here you know. Uh, you can have it if you really want. You'll be heading over to the college soon right?"

"I'm not good with feelings, okay?" Alex admitted, sighing and lifting his leg up. He flinched a little at the mention of his sister, and then sighed. "I couldn't impose. And I'm taking a semester off, anyway. Don't...think I can focus on classes. Why do you think I'm always out and about?"
