They are currently doing my natal chart before getting back to me to arrange a meet-up.
I'd love to be more involved in an actual practicing group IRL. -the anticipation is killing me-

Neat! What sort of coven are they? where did you find them? smile I found the group on witchvox, they are in my community and identify as a Hermetic group, and while I haven't narrowed down my spiritual path I know there is a lot I could learn from being a part of the coven regardless of in the end I choose to identify as they do. I've read in several books, many people start out on covens that identify a certain way and later branch off and find something that suits them more, or even start their own traditions. I'm not saying this is what I would do - I'm just clarifying that I am not necessarily attracted to Hermeticism itself but rather the ability to practice, learn and celebrate the Sabbats with a physical group that I trust.

I'm not sure if a Hermetic group would follow the Wheel of the Year. As far as I know Hermeticism follows Hermes Trismegistus which is a syncretic combination of Hermes and Djehuty and has a mythology of their own stemming from I believe The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus.

If this is the coven I see listed on Witchvox called 'Hermetic Wicca', you will have some questions to ask. Mainly - what is their lineage? Because there's no such thing as 'Hermetic Wicca'. Alexandrian Wicca has some ceremonial magic flavour, but wouldn't ever call itself 'Hermetic Wicca'.
If the coven is not lineaged to the New Forest Coven, then 'Wicca' is a misnomer for what they practice. Also, I am noting that they use Wicca as an interchangeable term with witchcraft...not always a bad sign, but not a great one, either. Bear in mind I'm not invalidating this coven or its' existence. What I am saying, instead, is that they may be mislabeling their practice Wicca, when it's a form of Hermetic-flavoured pagan witchcraft, instead. If you're ok with that, and the fact that they appear to be highly ceremonial in nature (I mean, my coven didn't draw up a natal chart to determine my membership, and my high priestess is an Alexandrian...) then you can probably learn something from them.

Their page said they were influenced by Hermeticism, (and a couple other things) but it did specifically mention sabbats, whether or not they have different Sabbats I'm unaware. But I assumed they followed the wheel of the year. I'm sure they'll be able to clarify that and any other questions when we have the meet - up.

Well I don't know which group it is that you're looking at. I was just giving the heads up with the info you gave.

There isn't really much to go off of on that page.
