*My Sassy Girl Boy

Trainer Name: Christina Lacus Feldt
Nickname: “Chris”
The longer she waited the more excited she became. Chris watched the performance of contestant number 6 come to an end as the curtains fell down once again. Backstage became busy as the stage crew quickly set props in place. She took one final glance at herself in the mirror and twirled. Today, she wore a tight blue top with a black short mini skirt, paired with black knee high socks and brown leather boots. She was pumped for this contest and cannot wait to show off her beautiful pokemon to the rows and rows of spectators in the Hall. She took a brush from her make up table and gently brushed her Deerling a few more times, and patted him on his left flank. "It will be a big crowd tonight, let's show them how beautiful we can be as a duo, Kiwi," and she hugged him around his neck. The Deerling understood. He put his face against Chris' chest and made a manly grumble.
The commentator's voice boomed loudly over the PA: "Wow. How amazing was that. Let's give a big hand of applause to Zak and Frea. Now. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome contestant number 7, Chris and Kiwi!!"
They took their position on stage. Kiwi on the left, and Chris on the far right. Everything was ready and the curtains rolled upwards. An upbeat tempo’d tune started to play over the speakers. Cheers, clapping, whistling, and the tune itself all melted into one. Both the trainer and her pokemon took a bow and got to work asap. There was no time to lose.
“Kiwi use Agility followed by a Jump Kick!” shouted Chris over the loudness of the crowd. The Deerling moved his ears and heard every command. He picked up speed shifting his feet side to side faster than a tap dancer could tap, and became a pink and yellow blur like a ribbon swept up by the wind and was soon at the centre of the stage. Head held high and tail pointed towards the sky, he leapt into the air and performed a Jump Kick with one front and one back hoof. The crowd roared as they saw him leap high into the air after picking up so much speed. It seemed as if he glided smoothly in the air. Whistles were heard amongst the crowd.
“Okay great now land right in the middle of the trampoline and perform a Bounce soaring yourself higher into the air just like how we practiced and remember your finishing act!” Chris shouted as she ran along the side of where the props were placed raising her arm up in a fashionly manner with her pinky pointing outward with each swoop of her hand movement she gives to her pokemon. Then she quickly ran to the very front of the stage in-front of the foam landing mat.
The Deerling finished off his Jump Kick, landed on the trampoline, and took two bounces on it before he took off again. Soaring into the air once more, only higher this time for everyone to see, Kiwi performed Bounce and flew forward tucking himself in tightly like a ball and performed three somersaults before landing on all fours onto the foam landing mat around the same time that Chris quickly found her place in front of it.
Only Chris and Kiwi heard the “Pifff” of the foam mat deflating to soften the Deerling’s landing as he had sunk all his weight onto it to with all his hooves to finish of his act. She did a short cute hawaiian wave with her arms as she circled around her Deerling, walked three steps backwards, and guided the crowd's attention back to her pokemon with her hands. The upbeat tune was slowly coming to an end and at that moment, little cut out paper flowers by the hundreds fell from the sealing, thanks to the very well timed stage crew, and both the trainer and the pokemon bowed and catwalk moved off of the stage, exiting in the same way they first appeared when the curtains were drawn. They started off sassy and finished off sassy. The commentator’s voice was heard again as the curtains rolled down to close the act.
"You did great Kiwi!" shouted Chris as she threw a towel over the Deerling's head and gently patted away his sweat drops with one hand and used the other to brush her own hair gliding her fingers through it. They both sat down to quench their thirst with water.
