She had put off trying to go up to Lutetia for so long now, that Samantha wasn’t quite sure she could even remember just what she had to do. She knew she wanted to try again, and part of her felt that she was ready to try again. Even if it didn’t work, she couldn’t go around calling herself a quitter, and at least she would have the satisfaction of knowing that she tried again.

If it didn’t work, she would just find another guardian cat and ask what she was doing wrong, that was all. It was a simple fix for something that in the end wasn’t so simple.

It was far too cold to go out and try this, especially if it wasn’t going to work. She didn’t want to become a senshi popsicle on top of being absolutely disappointed with how it had turned out.

Samantha took a moment to power up into Lutetia and looked around her dorm room once, giving a small sigh before taking hold of her senshi cell phone once more. Gently she rested her thumb on the home button, thinking as hard as she could about her asteroid, about seeing Evanna and Elda once more. About learning where she had come from.

And it worked.

When she opened her eyes back up, she was there. This was no longer her dorm room at Crystal Academy, this was her asteroid. This was Lutetia. This was someplace that felt vaguely like home. It was a nice feeling. She was somewhere different today though. This wasn’t the same view that she had been greeted with before, no. This was some sort of forest, almost. Not a very large forest, but at least it had some trees, very unlike the expanse of nothing she had faced before when she was up here.

The teenaged chibi looked around curiously and frowned. Well, if it had brought her to a new location, how was she supposed to find out what happened next? What was the big thing that Evanna had to do? How was she ever going to know what it was? It just wasn’t fair. Was she really going to have to find that hill all over again? Or maybe she would just find something else.

Lutetia kicked one of the stubby little trees and earned herself nothing more than a pain in her toe, or at least she thought that was all she was earning, until she saw the flicker of something out of the corner of her eye.

At once, another vision overtook her and she watched as a small group of people, a group that included both Evanna and Elda walked up to the edge of the woods.

Evanna looked a mixture of both nervous and excited and turned her gaze to her long time mentor, counselor and friend. “I don’t know about this, Elda. Are you really sure I’m ready? What if I mess up? What if I do something terrible and just hurt everything? What if I cause the asteroid to explode or something! You realize that putting this into my hands means the entire fate of Lutetia rests on me, right? Do you really think I’m capable?”

The older woman just smiled and put a hand on Evanna’s shoulder. “Relax. I’ve been helping you along all of your life for this moment. You will do fine. You have all of the training that I can give you, and you’re ready for this trip. Just take a deep breath, and remember that this is your destiny.” Elda gave Evanna one last hug, squeezing extra tightly. “Now go, child. Go and be safe. I’ll see you soon, I’m sure.”

Evanna gave a smile, looking much more nervous than she did before, though took off into the small woods, walking away from the waving group of people that stayed on the edge.

Lutetia blinked, the vision clearing somewhat. What was going on? Why was Evanna going by herself into the woods? And perhaps, more importantly, what was waiting for her on the other side of it?

It all seemed so important and the chibi senshi followed the vision for as far as it continued to lead, finally coming to a halt on the other side of the stubby trees, showing yet another vast expanse of empty land. Evanna continued to trek on, however and just as Lutetia moved to take another step to follow, the vision broke completely, leaving the fourteen year old senshi very confused and slightly upset.

How was she going to find out what was going on? Should she just wait for another vision?

The chibi sat down, fully intent on just waiting it out. She waited for what seemed to her to be forever and finally decided that nothing more was going to come out of being there. With a heavy heart, she drew her senshi phone close again and hit the home button, transporting herself safely back into her dorm, where she powered down and sighed.

At least she had gotten to go back. That was the important thing. She hadn’t ruined her chances of seeing her asteroid again, and in the end, wasn’t that all that mattered?

Besides. What Evanna was doing, that could wait until another day. For now it was more than past time to sleep.
