It would seem that it was time for him to play the waiting game, a game that he found himself rather infuriated with. He was told that, given his recent exploits against those Ysali that he'd been given a chance to meet with Lord Draco, something he was quite excited about. The only problem being that it wasn't something he'd be able to do straight away, instead he had to wait for a certain date, having been given a sort of appointment with the man. He knew that he was busy, he was leading their people after all, but that did stop him from being impatient. After all it had been decided that, if he went to Draco and the man accepted the orbs that Merikh had collected from the Ysali then he would be allowed to get a real weapon. Sure, his grandfather's dagger was amazing, but at the same time it was a ceremonial piece. It wasn't as strong as say his Mother's sword and as such he knew he wouldn't be able to fight a war with it. So many things to look forward to but for the moment he wasn't doing any of that, he wasn't even able to train today or hunt dragons.
"Ugh, this is so damn boring. I can think of so many things that I would rather be doing right now." He muttered under his breath. The only upside was that he was given permission to explore on his own. There were rules of course, boring ones, that said that he couldn't go too far outside of the city, he wasn't allowed to go after dragons alone, no talking to strangers, no picking fights, and several other rules that his Mom had made up that were supposed to keep him safe. They were things that he understood but still found to be a bit on the annoying side if only because it cut down on the number of things he was allowed to do at the moment. True freedom would come when he had proven himself enough to both his parents and his Lord that he was able to take on the new rank of Adept. Until then he was to follow the rules laid out before him. He'd add gaining that rank to the growing list of things he was looking forward to.
For the moment though he supposed that he would take what he could get, that being getting to explore, there wasn't a whole lot that he hadn't just just outside of the city but still something was better then nothing when it came to exploring. Perhaps he'd find some more Oblivionite apprentices? It would be useful for sure, to see who it was that he would be fighting alongside in the future, provided of course that they were worth a damn. Not as if he'd put his life in the hands of a bunch of poorly trained commoners he thought to himself. If they weren't at least as dedicated as Merikh himself with someone like his Mother Mellony to train them then he just wasn't interested. Still, he'd give them a chance, they might end up fighting alongside him one day or, better yet, fighting under him as his soldiers. He could go for a good title, one that allowed him to lead his fellows into battle against those worthless Orderites birds or the cowardly Dovaa. Either way was fine by him!

Lilith sucked in her breath as she hid behind several bushes that blocked her from view. Her curiosity had pulled her away from her mother, Erionda, and towards the main city of Soudul. She was supposed to be here learning how to tame Hastar. Her mothers happy game and attempts at 'bonding time' she however didn't quite agree.
The sound of footsteps caught her gaze. Shifting her feet and gripping the book in her hands tighter Lilith peaked out from the small gaps in the trees. A pure Oblivionite, like her father, was walking around in the open. Biting the edge of her thumb nervously Lilith couldn't help but giggle as he started talking to himself. At least, she assumed he was by himself. She couldn't hear anyone responding to him, or attempting to further the conversation.
"Mama says talking to yourself is a bad thing, just so's you know." Mama also says keep hidden, this world hates you and it's best to stay out of everyone's way. She reminded herself mentally doing her best to keep hidden in the bushes. She had learned it was best to listen to her mom, there were many things she knew about the world that she didn't and it was always a surprise when she offered up a little more information.
There was a difference though, this Oblivionite didn't seem like an older one like her papa. No, he looked more like he was her age. A small grin tucked at the sides of her mouth. Perhaps she would tease him with a small game of hide and seek before she let him see her. That way he just might be curious enough to ask questions instead of attack first. Yes, she could lower his guard that way couldn't she?
Changing her position in the bushes Lilith opened her mouth to speak again. "Then again why aren't you with your mama or papa? Aren't there rules to abide by?" She was trying to taunt him. To see if he would react and follow her a little further away from the city.

Merikh jerked his head up, turning from side to side as he heard a voice calling out to him, before he wrinkled his nose, "Feh, she sounds like an idiot." He said, not sure who was talking to him, who her mother was, but he couldn't care less about either of them. If he had to guess she was probably someone that didn't live in the city, some country bumpkin, and not the sort that he was looking for that much was certain. If she wanted to skulk about the shadows like a weirdo he would leave her to it he decided, glancing from side to side, looking for something interesting to do when he spotted a little bouken.
Oooo, nice! Giving a grin he started forward toward the fluffy little thing at a slow, sneaky pace, reaching toward him, wanting to see if he would be able to scoop it up. That was until that voice spoke up again, this time it seemed that the girl was trying to pick a fight with him. Standing up right he looked around from side to side, then back toward the voice, "I don't know about you but my parents don't keep me on a leash." Yes, there were rules to abide by but that didn't mean that didn't mean that the stalker needed to know that. Then again that weirdo didn't need to know anything, did she? What if she were some sort of danger? A lure to draw him away from the city or something of similar nature? He'd heard a lot of warnings all his life from his mothers, best that he didn't just follow after the weirdo since he felt he would likely be running right into danger.
Instead he turned away from her voice, turning his attention back to the bouken, "Maybe you aught to run back to your mommy, I can't say I am interested in... whatever it is that you are plotting." He told the disembodied voice, taking a couple steps forward so scoop the little rodent up into his hands, grinning down at it before he started petting it, "Well now, aren't you cute?"

A scowl darkened her face. "I'm not stupid! Running around calling people you don't know names... is stupid!" Pouting irritably Lilith felt the small shuffling under her shirt of the harbored Fairy Dragon. She had a habit of sneaking out of the house with them, and she had even successfully managed to bring one along on the trip with her. It's green and purple body was one of her favorite ones out of the clutch she had found with her mom. "No not now. We aren't home yet." Lilith pleaded with the creature to stay buried in her shirt trying to resist it's wiggling body.
Yelping when the little creature finally squirmed it's way into the open air, taking flight and diving into the forest heading strait for the Bouken in the oblivionite boy's hands. "No, wait come back here!" With a loud shout Lilith took off after her pet in an attempt to reclaim it before her mother could see the trouble she had brought along. She could already see the look on Erionda's face when she learned yet another one had been allowed out of the house.
With a shove Lilith broke through the shrubs hiding her from view stumbling forward in an attempt to catch her escaped friend before it could reach the boy. Her scowl remained as she glared up at the taller Oblivionite before her. "And I'm not plotting things... I'm told not to let people see me."

Merikh blinked then burst out laughing, "Now that was a most impressive comeback, please, allow me a moment to recover from the wound your words gave me." He told the girl in a tone that dripping with sarcasm. It was obvious now that the girl had to be of common birth, she didn't seem all that sharp to him if that was the extent of her witticisms. He would probably get better conversation out of the bouken that he'd capture he thought to himself, giving the fluffy creature a scratch under the chin. Even the wild ones were cute he thought to himself, wishing that he could bring it home with him but somehow he doubted that his mothers would allow it. No pets until he'd proven himself responsible they'd said, which was also their reasoning behind why he wasn't allowed to have a Drakein of his own as of yet.
Turning his head when he heard the voice yell to 'come back here' he found himself wondering if she was talking to him... that was until he saw the small, dragon like creature that was coming rushing toward him. A Fae dragon? He'd only heard of those! How lucky that he would get to see one he thought to himself, turning around so that he could face the creature, a smile on his face, and he lifted a hand to reach out toward it, welcoming the creature in a manner that he hadn't welcomed the girl.
A moment later though the one that had been taunting him to this point made herself known and his dark eyes went rather wide, his whole body going stiff. This girl, something about her, even at a glance, it was wrong. It took a moment but it finally clicked in his mind and he couldn't help but to stare, a bit of shock going through him. A hybrid? Here? Given her breeding and the fact that he hadn't heard of her meant that she couldn't live in the city, right? The way she talked, the impression he had of her being from the country, did that mean that she was kept away from others? As it should be but still, what was she doing here now? So many questions. Merikh released the bouken, letting it scurry off before he turned his attention back to her and said, "What is something like you doing so close to Soudul? You know that if anyone sees you they will put you down." He told her, nose wrinkling a little.

With a twitch of her left eye, the corner of Liliths lips tugged into a frown as she stood out in the open before the Oblivionite boy. Her eyes darted from Merikh, to the fairy-like dragon as it sniffed anout the ground in search of the boukens tracks. Somethig like her!? She wasnt a 'something' she was a someone! Couldn't this fool tell the difference? "You mean someone like me, don't you?" Lilith retorted, blinking her eyes and standing as strait and tall as she could manage. "I am here to learn about plants and hastar. Maybe fight a dragon, if mama thinks it's safe enough. Or finds one young enough."
Clickin her tongue to call the dragon like pet to her Lilith took a frightened step back at Merikh's words. What did he mean put her down? She wasn't a dragon! This guy was turning out to be dumber by the minute. The words had however scared her d her. It wasnt the first time she had heard that threat issued. Her mom had warned her it was almost certian to happen if anyone saw her. She had thought it was just a tale, meant to keep her close by. Just something to scare her into obedience.
Her eyes were wide as she took in the size of the Oblivionite closer to her. He looked like he would be faster than her if she attempted to scream and make a run for it. Here would be no way she could make it back to mama safely. "I don't want to die..." Lilith muttered in a shaky tone. She flicked her fingers up to the small budding horns. "Just cause I have horns doesn't make me a dragon. Cause mama's not a dragon. A-and papa is just like you. So... so why would I need to be put down like one? I haven't hurt anyone, I don't even have a weapon. Lilith produced her two bare hands as proof.
Tacking another quick step backwards, Liliths heal caught on a root. Stumbling backwards Lilith couldn't keep her balance and she found herself firmly planted on the ground. Gritting her teeth so she wouldn't cry she stared at Merikh as if challenging him for her next question. "Does that mean you're going to do it. Since you're the only one who is around?"

Merikh starred at the girl, then snorted, "No, I meant exactly what I said." The boy crossed his arms over his chest, giving her a once over, taking in her reasoning for being in the area. She was here to learn about plants and the hastar? Seemed like a silly reason to be running around such a dangerous place as this one but he would accept it. What came next actually had him laughing, "Maybe fight a young dragon if mommy lets you? I wonder if something as puny as you could do that." He mused to himself, not really sure. He heard only the worst things about those with mixed blood after all, he wasn't even sure if she could handle a dragon... though he supposed that it wasn't really his business though if she gotten eaten up by the dragons in the area.
When the girl announced suddenly that she didn't want to die he gave a bit of a snort, "Then why come so close to Soudul? Surely you must have known that you wouldn't be welcome here." He said, finding it odd that an unwanted creature would actually venture so close to a massive city full of those who hated her kind. Seemed weird to him but oh well, not his problem, "Hm?" He tilted one head to the side, then lifted an eyebrow. Her father was like him? An Oblivionite? He blinked a couple time, "Your father is like me? Interesting." So her father was some sort of traitor to his kind, huh? Leaving them so that they could could be with a foreigner, have a child with one, a Dovaa of all things if he had to guess given the horns. What a waste he thought to himself, not quite understanding it, why one of their kind would stoop as low as that.
The girl suddenly produced his bare hands announcing that she hadn't hurt anyone, that she didn't even have a weapon, and he couldn't help but to shrug a shoulder, "That is your problem. If you just stand around doing nothing, crying about not wanting to die, it will be all that much easier to end you." He said, then gave a little grin, moving a hand to let it hover over the ceremonial dagger that was sheathed at his side, "Should I? It might bring me some prestige in the eyes of Lord Draco and the Dark Lady Soudana, both of which I would only be too happy to impress." It was tempting.

LIlith puffed her cheeks out and blushed at the comments made in her direction. "Well he's alot smarter than you. Traditions might mean something, but they don't mean much if they keep you stuck in the same path all the time. Never moving forward. You're not rooted in place are you?"
Pushing past her hurt pride Lilith pushed up to her feet. Blinking past the tears stinging at her eyes. Pursing her lips tight she sniffled and stepped towards Merikh, maybe if she acted like her mom all bold and fearless he wouldn't be so mean? She had heard stories of her grandfather, how he had tried to kill her mom once. Even if this boy was a little taller than her. Probably stronger than her, he wasn't as bright to see the very things she brought to her table had the potential to make her better. At least, that's what her mama had said.
She eyed the strange object, if she was going to die here and now. She wanted to do it. Staring into the hallow sockets of the boy in front of her. Blinking twice she frowned again. "Mama never lets me ask papa... but... why don't you guys have eyes. Isn't that how you can tell someone's worth? Through their eyes? Like a gateway into who they are. You don't have any... neither does papa... And who are Lord Draco and Lady Soudina?" Lilith questioned, unaware of how badly she was pronouncing the names she had never been taught before. "Why would they want me? I'm just a kid."

Merikh gave the weird looking girl a long look, then snorted, "I highly doubt that he is that sharp if he ran off with a non-Oblivionite woman." He said, feeling that his blood, his people, they were the superior ones. They were the ones that were going to take the world, not the light cursed Orderite or those cowardly Dovaa. Giving the girl a once over, taking in those horns especially, made him certain that her mother was Dovaa. It was such a waste of a good warrior who should be making powerful Oblivionite children, not little mix breed misfits. Still, it wasn't really his business what that guy did, so long as he didn't show his face around the Obsidian City. While there was that curious part of him that wondered what might happen to such a traitor he decided not to spend too much time thinking on it, not when more important things were on hand that he could deal with.
"Hm? Rooted in place? Hardly! I am a warrior in training, I am going to be the same sort of hero that my grandfather and mothers are one day. It won't be long now, I am already battling dragons with nothing but a dagger." He said in an arrogant manner. If he could take down dragons with a dagger just imagine what he could do when he had a real weapon.
A little jolt went through Merikh as the girl suddenly asked him a rather strange question, one that had him starring at her, before he snorted, "I can tell your worth even without eyes like you have." He said, crossing his arms over his chest he then said, "As for why we don't have them... well, it makes sense why she won't let you know. Not like she wants you to be afraid of your dad or something." He waved a hand at her in a lazy manner, "Best that I don't say, you will just cry I'm sure." Bad enough that he had to deal with some strange girl, he didn't want to deal with a teary one.
"Eh?" The look on Merikh's face was a somewhat surprised one, his eye holes getting rather wide, before he gave her a look, "You don't know who they are? Where in the name of our Dark Lady do you live? Under a rock?"" He demanded of her before he said, "And her name is is Soudana! Geez..." What kind of naive idiot was he dealing with here?! She didn't even know how to pronounce Soudana's name right! The urge to kill her for prestige had passed but the desire to thump her on the head was alive and kicking.

Lilith's cheeks were still puffed up and blushing as Merikh continued to speak. She wasn't a baby! She didn't cry as easily as he seemed to say she did. And then her face turned into a slight laughing tone. "What you mean to say, is that you really don't know the answer to my question. Do you?" Lilith asked light lightheartedly a large grin appeared on her face. Tilting her head to the side she studied Merikh's features carefully.
"Dark lady? Oh! So like, she's your mother then? Mama calls me little one. But my real name is Lilith." Lilith nodded knowingly as she took a step back to get a better look at the strange boy before her. A finger attaching itself to her bottom lip thoughtfully.
"There's something strange about you. How come you don't have wings like Mama, Papa and my twin Casseth do? Does that mean you're not strong? 'Cause killing tiny Ysali are easy as pie." She squared her shoulders and tried to look powerful as she spoke. "I can prove it."

"Pft, if anyone here is ignorant it's you! You don't even know something as simple and basic as why your dad doesn't even have eyes. I'd say that is pretty pathetic on your part." He said, sticking his tongue out at her. Stupid girl, as though he wouldn't know the answer to something so simple, especially given the fact that he had been born an Oblivionite, "I bet you haven't been told because they don't think you are mature enough to handle knowing what your father really is." He said, grinning a bit more as he taunted her.
It was a grin that faltered though when she said that the Dark Lady was his mother, "My... mother? Only in the sense that she created the Oblivionites." He said, figuring that since she was the one that made their race that she was, in a manner of speaking, the mother of them all. Still, it wasn't at all like what she was guessing, "My mothers are two other women entirely, as for what they call me it's Merikh." He doubted that the Dark Lady really called him anything at the moment but he hoped one day to get strong enough that she might actually know his name. Even if it wasn't one that because as well known as Lord Draco's name just to be known by his people would be amazing if you asked him.
Merikh gave a snort, "Shows you how much you know... which from everything you have said is jack. We get wings as we grow, as well as a tail, a third eye, and various other features that make us far more amazing then any of the other pathetic races. You father probably has them cause he's an old man and your twin cause he's a freak like you." Though he'd never heard of a baby having wings before, not even a Dovaa baby, why the heck would he have wings so young unless... surely not? Naw! That would mean that this girl was a mix of all of the races and that idea was one that was just too weird for him to even consider. Surely she wasn't that big a weirdo, right?
"Wait, what? Prove it? Why should I have to prove myself to you? You aren't even allowed to hunt dragons. What, am I supposed to stand here and wait for you while you ask your mommy for permission?" He asked of her, wishing he had eyes that he could roll at her.
