It had been a few months since Eyota and Indilwen had talked to Arden to figure out what was causing Eyota to be off balance. Since that day, Eyota has been able to walk fine, he no longer has to look at the ground while walking, he still does, since habits are hard to break, especially one that he had done for most of his life. He is not really sure how he can walk now without falling, Arden did something and now everything seems to be back in order. Eyota does not care how it was done, he is just thankful for Indilwen’s uncle. She had been quite the past months, more reserved than normal and he knew that her thoughts were constantly in the past. He did not know what to say or do to comfort her, besides being there for her. Their friendship had grown and he had begun to feel something stronger than friendship for her, but he did not say anything. She did not feel the same way and who could love a stallion who was twig short in the nest?

Eyota stared in wonder at the land around him, he was amazed that he was able to look anywhere but the ground. It was a new experience that would not grow old. “The sea, the desert, all wonderful places!” He was practically bubbling with excitement, but a thought dampened his enthusiasm, “Indi, if you did not want to travel with me, you would tell me right? I don’t want you to feel like you have to do this for me. Yeah I would be sad if you left, but I don’t want my emotions or hurt feelings to keep you from striking your own path.” With her words about fate, he knew that she would probably be staying, but he had to be sure.

She could not help but laugh happily at his distant expression as he imagined what it would feel like to gallop, Indi was glad that she was able to share these experiences with him and also introduce Eyota to new things. He had spent most of his life looking at the ground, now it was time for him to look at the world around him. His happiness and excitement about trying new things almost made the pain of her father’s death vanish, but it was still there, a throbbing sore. Would it ever go away or would she forever feel this way? His comment drew her away from her own thoughts and she too looked at his wingless back, “You are not slowing us down, sometimes it is better to run, able to see the small things upon the ground that one would miss while in the sky.” She dreaded the idea of flying, for she would be alone in the sky with her dark thoughts and her ray of sunshine would not be able to brighten her mood. Hopefully it would be better if she galloped, her thoughts would still go to the dark place, but she would have Eyota by her side to pull her back into the light.
"You will not bore me Eyota, you are fascinating and I enjoy seeing the world with you. You make me see everything anew."
