Where was she? Who was she? There was nothing there, was there supposed to be something there? She did not know. Was this who she was? But what was she? The thoughts that stampeded through her mind caused her to wince and a headache began to throb behind her eyes. Think other thoughts. Think other thoughts. There is nothing but pain if try to remember what is not there. The mare looked around at her surroundings; there were trees, lots of them. Many appeared to be ancient, with their thick trunks, while others appeared to be saplings, barely a few weeks old. How does she know that information but not other important pieces? She shook her head, she would not try to remember, there was nothing but pain if she went down that path. Her hoof steps were not silent, twigs snapped beneath her ungraceful hooves. Her wings fluttered. Wings? Yes… she had wings upon her back. Was that a strange occurrence or was it natural? Stop. Do not think about that. Do not want the pain. She continued to walk with her unsteady gait, trying to keep her thoughts from who she was and what strange land she currently found herself in.

It was flopping, it was flopping in such away that Terror was greatly annoyed by instead of being amused by today. Each jaunty step she took the brim seemed to flutter into her eyes threatening her view of vision and when she was busy trying to blow the edge up another branch would smack her on the bridge of her muzzle. Useless! It was so useless for all these low hanging branches to threaten her in such a way! She growled as the wizzard hat tipped forward again as the top of it snagged on a low hanging pile of leaves and twigs. “SNAPPINGPIGLETBUMPLE!” She yelled as she swung around and bit the branch and tugged on it as if trying to rip it from its larger being. Scrappy on the other just sniggered every time the mare muttered a random word under her breath. There was thunderbutt, rognoggin, orcspit, and his personal favorite flabbylittlefilthdoomsonofasheepbuttmuchingwhore. In which with Terror’s accent always seemed to sound like one long tremendous word to Scrappy’s ears. Stepping to the side he missed the shower of leaves and twigs that Terror received from the tree as she tried to abuse it. Showed her right in trying to attack some poor defenseless tree.

Lost and confused, the mare had stopped walking with the fear that she continued she would make herself so helplessly lost that she would die of dehydration or starvation in the thick woods. So it was there in that spot that she began to hear the thrashing of something through the trees. Her heart began to race, as she assessed the threat that was coming through the woods. Should she run? No, they would find her. Who was they? The memory escaped her and she did not wish to press it. Badump, badump, her heart hammered in her chest. A strange word echoed through the silent woods, what the heck was a Snappingpigletbumple? Was it a word that she had forgotten along with herself or was it some strange language that she did not comprehend. The nameless mare put the word into the latter. Her heart was slowing to a more normal pace, but she would be prepared to run if whoever came through the trees showed her any kind of threat. She began to count, wondering how long it would take until she encountered the strange speaking creature. One…two… three… a loud thwack sounded and leaves only a few trees over began to fall. The mare squinted, there was something large and red coming her way.

Coughing the red mare shook the debris from her back and her mane before continuing forward. If she had any sense, she thought looking over at the hare, she would have kicked him while he was on the ground laughing on his back at her misfortunes. Instead she sucked in a deep breath of air, stuck her head up high, and moved forward pretending it never happened. She was good at pretending, she pretended that all these trees weren’t there anymore. Instead they were like naked pointy water bags but with uglier skin that wasn’t in the last appealing and tempting to rub her cheek on. Therefore they were completely not worth her interest and if they kept trying to touch her she would ignore them. It made complete sense. A few more steps and she heard Scrappy give out a muffle shout as her eyes met the appearance of a smaller grey like mare. An intruder! Or maybe a really cute assassin that was out to dispose of her! Taking a step back Terror looked around, someone that pretty and dainty could not be alone in the woods on her own, there had to be something lingering in the shadows waiting to appear, hopping out to suck out her blood. “I, the great Orc Slayer Mis…” Pausing for a moment Terror tried to think of the most terrorfying creature she knew. “Ah yes! The great Orc Slayer Misuerebadger demands to know who you are!” She replied giving a large grin. It was a good name.

Her legs began to shake when the mare came barging through the trees, her voice was loud and commanding. The nameless mare’s voice was weak and timid in comparison, “I…I am sorry Miss Orc Slayer,” what was an orc? She shook her head and went back to the conversation, “I cannot tell you that, for I do not know myself who I am.” It seemed that even though she lost all sense of who she was, she could hold an intelligent conversation. The winged mare stood where she was discovered and looked at this Orc Slayer. She had strange markings all over her body, a sun was upon her rump and she was as red as the rising sun. A skull was worn around her neck and held in place by colorful beads, the nameless mare gave a slight gulp. Upon the red mare’s head was an old tattered hat that was a deeper red than the mare. It had stars and strange letters. “What are you going to do to me Orc Slayer? You have such a terrifying name and compared to me, a nameless mare, I am truly in awe.”

Terror stared at the mare, and a few minutes later her jaw dropped just a little, as she couldn’t believe the entire conversation. It had to be a trap, it was as if trap was written all over face begging for Terror to just all happily into it to dispose of her with a blink of her eyes. No one in his or her right state of mind would have even believed her that she was some great orc slayer. Not even a foal would believe such a story, the first question would have been where had she seen and orc, and how could she kill something that didn’t exist. Then of course would be the dismal comment of being an idiot. No this mare was certainly a trap. “No name eh? Hrrrmmm” Terror replied slowly walking around the mare looking for any sort of jumping creature to appear going “SURPRISE!” When nothing moved she looked at the mare again and then at Scrappy. “A name... name… how about Honeymaplestick?” Terror replied as she turned her head to the side. The rabbit just shook his head is disapproval. “No no… Beesueally? No….. Baedeeruru…. There we go,” she replied grinning at her, “Baedeeruru that is your name! As for what I am going to do with you I am going to…..” She paused as something new caught her eye causing her head to jerk in a new direction of interest. Scrappy just shrugged at the mare, “if I was you I would just call myself Bae and save yourself the trouble.”

The Orc Slayer kept glancing at the woods, was there something there that was going to attack? Confused by the mares action, the nameless mare stood in her place, watching the Slayer warily. Names started to spurt and many of them were quite ridiculous, Honeymaplestick? Was she being serious with that one? The winged mare gave a silent sigh of relief when the hare shook his head when the Red Mare mentioned that name. She was thankful that was not to be her name. The strange mare finally stopped her barrage of names, and settled on one.
Baedeeruru, that was to be her new name. She felt lighter now that she had something to call herself by, but the Hare of the Orc Slayer was correct, it was quite troublesome to say that entire name. Bae was much simpler, the mare liked it, she felt as if the name resonated with her. It did not occur to her that it only resonated because she had desperately wanted a name and would have taken which ever name the red mare gave her, except the Honeymaplestick name of course, since it was just silly. Bae bowed her head, “Thank you Miss Orc Slayer for giving me such a lovely name. I no longer feel as lost in this strange land. And thank you Mr. Hare, for giving me a shorter version of my name. Baedeeruru is quite long,” Bae looked over at the mare, “Is there a chance that the name means anything?” She did not want the mare to think she did not like the name; she was just curious to at what it meant, or if it was just something the mare created on the spot, if so, the red mare was quite the creative one.

Still peering of into the distance and in a completely different world Terror start to trot forward her ears perked listening to the what possible sound the new thing could make. There was something moving and glistening in the woods, it could be a waterfall or maybe even something better like walking treasure.
Yes an oversized walking trunk was a perfect little thing to follow in the woods for sure Terror thought before giving the mare a flash of a smile. It wasn’t as if a trunk could eat her whole anyways, besides she was sure that such things must exist somewhere.
“It means the beating of the squishy thing in your chest, well not really but that is what it wounds like doesn’t it? Baedeeruru baedeeruru baedeeruru, baedeeruru perfect isn’t it considering it’s the only noise you can hear when you are running from something.” She replied before edging closer to the edge. “By the way did you see that chest walking? I think I see it now……”
Scrappy just shrugged his shoulders apologetically to the mare these were the ways of the mare that he had raised. He wasn’t sure why she was so odd but it was easy to blame on a family of hares.

Her first memory of waking up came to mind, her heart had been beating uncontrollably in her chest, creating the sound that mare described. The thought caused Bae’s heart to flutter, she took a deep breath and ignored the feeling to run that the memory dredged up. Words continued to spew out of the mouth of the Orc Slayer and none of them made any sense. She stared at the red mare with bemusement, the flutter had not a clue to what the Orc Slayer was talking about. What chest? What was a chest anyways? Like the chest of another horse? Was the horse headless? No, the way the mare was saying it made it seem like a particular sight.
“I don’t know what you are talking about… Do you think my eye sight has been impacted by my memory loss as well?” She scanned the woods around her, she was seeing everything clearly, and at least she thought she was, but no matter how hard she tried, she could not see what the red mare was talking about. She gave a sigh of disappointment, “I can’t see this walking chest… I also think that since I don’t know what a chest is, I would not recognize what I was seeing if I actually saw it.”

Terror looked at the mare turning her head slightly in a rather confused manner, “you know a chest made of wood. It’s got a lid and a boxy body that you can fill it full of treasure and good things. Sometimes they have legs, though some have little arms that you can use to pull them around. Obviously leggies are better because then they can walk… or sometimes they walk. Sometimes they are mean and refuse to get off their butts. But this one…. This one can run I am sure of it!” Her tail twitched with excitement as she described the treasure that could possibly be on the run from her. There was also the question if it would leave a trail of gold behind it or just merely hid it some where deep within its belly.
“ONWARD WE GO MY NOBLE HARE!” She yelled as she took off into the forest, her body no longer being able to contain its sheer happiness of the chase.
Scrappy on the other hand just shook his head, “Your eyesight is probably fine Bae, that mare there is a little crazy up there.” He replied pointing to his skull, “she tends to see things that aren’t really there so don’t worry about it. It was a pleasure meeting you but I should probably follow her before she gets in a fight some sort of bear. See you later Bae!” Giving her a wave Scrappy set off following the red blur that darted in the forest.

An expression of bewilderment never left the mare’s face, even after the red mare described what a chest was and how it could walk. What a strange world we live in, she thought to herself. But before she could inquire more about the walking chest, the mare was dashing off into the woods, chasing after her unknown treasure. The hare turned and looked at Seline, his words seemed to explain so much but at the same time, so little. She watched his retreating figure and sadness once again took over her heart. She had a name, but yet she was still alone. What terrible thing did I do to deserve such a fate? With a sigh, she set off in a different direction than the Orc Slayer, hoping she would encounter someone who would help explain the peculiarities of this land and world.

“No, nope, not quite, that isn’t it, since when did purple leaves exist, was that suppose to be some sort of flower at some point?” The dark stallion frowned a shark like frown as he muttered over a various selection of withering plants. Of course Fume had sent him out on some sort of gathering expedition as if the stallion had any interest in plants to start with. With ease he could have told anyone what sort of fish, frogs, and their taste off the top of his head but for something like plants they all looked the same. If he returned with something incorrect she was likely to make him to go back out and would refuse to let the stallion go hunting near her cave until he had completed what she wanted. “Gggrrrrr…”

Slowly she walked, lost in body and in mind. She did not know where she was or who she was, at least she now had a name to call herself and tell those she met. Bae. Such a simple name, but it seemed to fit her. The land around her was beautiful, filled with an assortment of different flowers ranging in color. Her favorite was a vibrant red, it was made up of soft petals that folded outward to make a circular shape. Bae knew that she should know the name of the flower, that it was a simple thing. It was strange how she knew some words for things, like tree, flower, cloud, but that was about it, she could not give specifics to those objects. There were so many types of trees and flowers and all she could do was generalize them. It irked her and also saddened her.
After being left by the Orc Slayer for her quest for the Magical Trunk, Bae felt a sharp pang of loneliness. Was there anyone else out there who would take pity on her and help her? A noise cut through her thoughts, it sounded like a growl from some sort of animal. Her heart began to beat faster, even if she could not remember what type of animal made that noises like that, her instincts did. But what if those instincts were wrong and she was just jumping at shadows? There was only one way to find out. “H-hello. I-is a-anyone out t-there?” Her voice shook a little as she called out.

Ushin started to feel the pang of annoyance, as he kept looking every single plant that was near him, he had spent the last two hours that felt like days searching and he was starting to debate if maybe she was just doing this to punish him. It wasn’t like it was his fault that some otter decided it wanted the plants to eat why was it his job to guard her crap anyways? Rolling his eyes he snorted as he kept staring the various leaves with less interest than before. As a voice sounded Ushin perked his head up his ears keened on where it had come from. Without hesitation he ran swiftly around avoiding her eyesight as he tried to get closer to her. “Who are you? You are not one of Ushin’s family no. Who are you?”
