Errands. For whatever reason Chimelu was deemed the errand boy, house watcher, just overall catch-all worker of the family. Not that his parents weren't perfectly capable of running their own errands. Well, maybe not his mom. She had only recently found out that she was pregnant so he could understand why she wouldn't want to travel to one of the other settlements for things she needed. His father on the other hand? Yeah, if you guessed no excuse then you would be right. The teen sighed heavily in exasperation. It was too late to go back now. He'd set out on this little journey and he wasn't going to head back home now. Chimelu might have come off lazy to many but in all honesty it was just lack of drive. What was the point in running errands? There wasn't anything to be gained from it. Okay, so maybe that wasn't entirely true.
"Kesris. . . " The teen said, stretching out his limbs on the edge of the town. It hadn't been too long of a journey but it had taken him about a day and a half to get there. He did take his sweet time though. His mother had told him it wasn't anything urgent so he was free to drag his feet a little. At least she was understanding of how the teen felt. She always knew what everyone was feeling and thinking without them needing to vocalize it. It was a true talent that he frankly hadn't inherited. As much as he hated to admit it, he was a lot like his father. Belay did have some admirable qualities. Sometimes. "Welp, let's do this."

Ime was always glad to be at home, just as well as she enjoyed exploring the other Wind settlements. At least here she was allowed to wander outside her mother's range of view. Everyone looked out for everyone else here in Kesris, not that she had expected to escape the settlement in the first place.
The child had used a stone and stick to carve a little playscape in the dirt. Some of the older kids had taught her a skipping game with its very own song, and she imagined that it would be just as fun while she was alone. She jumped back and forth, up and down the decoration of boxes, singing rather loudly to herself. If she didn't know a word, she simply mumbled it and continued.
The appearance of a new person suddenly paused her reverie. The girl turned, eyes wide. Was it an attack?!
... no. No it was not. That was just a Prentice, and a Wind at that. A smile spread across her cheeks, and she waved a little blue hand.
"Hello!" she called to him, "Welcome to Kesris!"
Mama had always taught her to be cautious of strangers, but this boy was coming into her home! Besides, it was only a few step to Big Jiu's shack. He'd take care of a little blonde lickety-splick! There was certainly no reason to be rude!
