Maybe, Tobias reflected as he stared at the slim line of light that shone from what he could only assume was the door, Just maybe he shouldn't have done that. He didn't think he had many regrets. His family life was well enough to where Deus Ex didn't need to relocate him to the island, resulting in summer and winter vacations to the island while he struggled with the normalcy of school and homework.

Maybe that was it. He was too strange, too normal for some of what he called the Islanders. The Islanders were the ones that lived full time on the island, not vacationers or "holiday shoppers" like himself. Tobias didn't mind much.

Even if he was currently handcuffed to a metal pipe. He figured it was a water pipe and that he was in some sort of janitor's closet. It was difficult to tell, however what else would a small dark room be?

Tobias stretched his legs out in front of him, musing at the dark shapes that were his legs. In retrospect he shouldn't have worn a suit. If he knew they were finally going to get him back for what he did to them this summer, he would have worn something more comfortable.

At least, Tobias reasoned as he reached into his pocket, They left me a granola bar. He could hear shouting in the distance. As he unwrapped his granola bar, Tobias hoped he really was in a janitor's closet and that someone would consider releasing him as soon as the party was over. He was growing bored of waiting, and a shadow hadn't passed in front of the door in a long while.

Then again, it wasn't as if he had anywhere else to go.
