Henrietta is shown to be a rather laid back person with a high level of confidence, even coming across as cocky, but not difficult to get along with. She's often sarcastic and tends to hold a seductive charm.
She exhibts displays of hatred towards vampires, holding a grudge against them for killing Stefan and Damon Salvatore back in 1864. Henrietta is reluctant to trust any supernatural being, even other witches and also shows to be cautious of humans, especialy supernatural hunters. She only trusts a hand full of of other supernatural beings, the highest being Crowley, as she feels she owes him her life, which in the literal sense, she does.
Henrietta is survival orientated, meaning she'll do anything if it means she lives through a situation or a determined amount of time. Henrietta made a deal with a Crowley in 1866 so that she would survive pneumonia and extend her lifetime indefinately. Henrietta agrees to kill others to keep herself alive. However, She does show resistance when it comes to innocent, good people, preferring not to harm them.
Henrietta's fidelity to Crowley is unwavering, she still remaining loyal to him even after not seeing or hearing from him for over a hundred years. She's opposed to anyone or anything harming the King of Hell. This causes Henrietta to have a strong hatred towards hunters and demons who plan to over throw or destroy Crowley and results in Henrietta taking action against the threat.
When it comes to her killings, Henrietta is known to be somewhat sadistic, holding back on heavier tortures, preffering to "leave it to the professionals". While the excuse isn't a complete lie, Henrietta actually feels bad with extensive torturing. She hunts criminals that seem to slip by or cheat the court system. She prefers to send people who are already evil to Hell, rather than sending innocent people to an eternity of damnation.

Henrietta was born on July 4, 1843 in Mystic Falls, Virginia. Her father was a warlock and her mother died giving birth to her. She grew up as a friend to the Salvatore brothers, even coming to develop feelings for Damon before he left for the Civil War. When he came back earlier than expected, Henrietta was one of the only ones to accept his reasons for doing so.
With the arrival of Katherine, Henrietta soon began to feel that something was wrong with the town. She would hear voices and strange things would happen around her; such as glasses breaking when she was upset. It was around this time that her father began to train her in witchcraft, in secrecy.
Her and the Salvatore brothers remained close up until their deaths during the vampire raid. Her father also being killed by hunters shortly after in a cottage with ninety-nine other witches.
Hearing of the Salvatore brothers' deaths supposedly being by vampires, Henrietta grew spiteful to vampires and began her efforts in hunting them, using her magic to kill them. However, hearing of her father's death hindered her opinion of who the real monsters were; Vampires or humans. Eventually, she continued to hunt vampires.
A couple years later, Henrietta traveled to New York and ended up catching pneumonia. Growing weak and desparate, she sought a way to heal herself with magic, but lacking any grimoires and being relatively new to the practice of witchcraft, she soon came to terms that she was going to die of the illness. One night when she was feeling as if it was her last, she left her appartment to sit at the harbor and watch the waves as she struggled to breathe, cold and afraid. But she was suddenly approached by a man who spoke with her about her illness and fear of dying before revealing himself to be a demon and able to offer her a deal in exchange for her soul.
The deal ended up on the terms that she would continue to live as long as she helped bring up Hell's population. Henrietta's fear of dying instantly brought her to accept the terms and she found herself no longer ill within seconds of the deal being closed.
Ever since that night, Henrietta has kept up her end of the deal and has been sending souls directly to Hell through spells whenever she finds someone who would make a good demon, mostly felonious criminals. She hasn't physically aged, and generally keeps a low profile currently.
