Name: Uquin Race: Leaf Earthling Gender: Male 3 Base Traits: Hard Working, Pretentious, Perceptive Personality: Uquin is a quiet young earthling who tends to sit back and observe before making decisions or action. Harboring a great respect for the earth and the spirits, Uquin is slow in his actions and is thorough in all that he does so as to not negatively affect the earth. He works hard, and tends to be generous with those he favors, yet despite this he has a habit of repulsing others due to his better-than-thou attitude at times, along with his annoying slow and gentle movements.
He can be spurred to action, if necessary, but would rather ponder and watch events unfurl than be an active participant.
Uquin is the sort of person who would nurse you back to health with gentle fingers, while scolding you for your stupidity or lack of sense. He has patience for those who are ailing, and has great skill in nursing them back to health, but is far from talkative.
Description: Uquin has darker skin than most other Leaf Earthlings by a few shades, with light green eyes. His hair is a dark auburn. His body is tall, lean, and angular - his face is narrow with prominent cheekbones and a sharp nose. His eyes are large, but his expression is generally one of distant consideration [reference for his usual expression].
Uquin's hair is long and straight, with some bangs hanging infront - cut level with his eyes. Both sides of his head are shaved, as well as the back of his head - but from the top of his head his hair is long and brushed back, falling down his neck, then back over his shoulders, ending at his shoulderblades (may be tied into a ponytail when the situation calls for it.)
He has small crystals on each cheek, just below the far corner of each eye - on the cheekbones, another pair on either side of his nose by above his nostrils, and one below his bottom lip in the center of his chin. He has larger stones speckled across his shoulderblades and his ribs.
Clothing: Dressed with the usual Leaf Earthling colors, his pants end just below the knee. He is likely to have brown cloth straps around his ankles, if that is possible, and/or straps attached to his upper arms that loop up behind his neck somehow. Accessories: Around one wrist is bracelet, made of dead roots from Tale's soil - thick and gnarled but somehow twined together with small polished stones. History: Uquin grew up in Isd in a family with an older sister and a mother that should have been too old to bear him. His father had been presumedly killed by the time he was born, leaving his mother distraught and causing Uquin to be born somewhat earlier than was healthy. His sister is much more outgoing than her little brother, and more physical in her strengths - while Uquin is more content to forage for food, and take care of his mentally unwell mother.
By the time he reached adolescence, his mother's mental health had taken a turn for the worse - and her dependency on him grew worse due to his resemblance to his father. Hoping that seperating himself from his family would help his mother recover, Uquin decided to make the journey to a new settlement, finally settling in Yera.

His looks look fine :] And he seems fine enough. He's a little bare bones right now, I just have a couple of questions before getting him going, mostly about his family:
What are Uquin's feelings to his family's situation and his mother's health?
How does he interact with his sister?

Suhuba His looks look fine :] And he seems fine enough. He's a little bare bones right now, I just have a couple of questions before getting him going, mostly about his family: What are Uquin's feelings to his family's situation and his mother's health? How does he interact with his sister? Of course, thank you <3
I imagine there is quite an age difference between him and his sister - so they probably interact like SHE was his mother, rather than a sister. She is much more of a warrior, willing to fight and keen to travel - so staying with her family in order to take care of them probably led to some resentment. Not to say that Uquin's sister is abusive or cruel to him, but it's probably one of those things that family notices over time.
Uquin feels like taking care of his mother is his responsibility - and realizes that in constantly taking care of her, he's become an emotional crutch for her.
If you ask him why he left home (and actually answers), he'll claim it was for her sake - but deep down he feels his mother is chaining him down, and wanted to leave.
So his parting with his sister wasn't really taken well.
