User ImageFive years ago had probably been the moment that had flipped his life upside down...but in a good way. He would have never guessed he would have found a place that he wanted to stay more than wanting to sail out at sea. Dorian's life was the sea but after meeting the natives in a deserted island, he had wondered if life at sea was really worth it. Especially being with Sikari for months and he even began to wonder if soul mates truly did exist. Sadly one day as he was watching his crew ship off without him since he had chosen to stay, Navy ships arrived. Dorian told Sikari to hide and stay in the forest as he swam to his ship. He got on and they fought a long and hard battle as fog covered the area and it was hard to see what happened.

When the fog cleared there was nothing to show what happened other Dorian's hat,and his pirate flag which would have anyone assume that his boat was sunk and he was gone. But what really happened was that Dorian agreed to give himself up in exchange for them to leave his crew and ship alone and to leave the island. The Navy agreed.

Five years past and Dorian was still in the prison, rotting in a jail cell. Well not really. He spent his days exercising, waiting for the day his crew to free him. The only thing that let him sleep peacefully at night was knowing that Sikari and his people were safe but of course he missed him dearly, aching for the other male but there was nothing he could really do about it. He sat on his bed, staring at the wall with his ragged hair and scruffy beard, just thinking of what he would do once he got out of there.

Days...weeks...months and years- all of them had gone by- starting off excruciatingly slow as he mourned for the loss of the person whom he had believed to be his life partner, but as the years went by he let go. Slowly but surely his life began to rebuild itself and he remained leader of his tribe...until the Navy returned- capturing Sikäri and a few of his people, but by now five years had gone by... and he'd forgotten about the dangers the navy had posed.... And now he was a prisoner. He wasn't sure how long he spent locked up alone- not allowed to be with his tribe seeing as they learned very quickly that he was the leader. Instead he was tied up and fed measly rations of food.

When they were brought to land he was the first to be taken out- used like an item for people to spectate. He was to be given to the crown apparently, as a 'pet' for the young king and his queen. Who didn't like having a pretty trophy after all? And Sikäri had definitely grown up to be quite the beauty, despite being a man. Of course he didn't exactly go willingly and now he was being dragged down into the dungeons, though he was putting up a good fight. "Let me go!" He growled in a feral manner, managing to sink his nails into the flesh of one of his captors hands, who howled in pain and in retaliation lashed out, knocking Sikäri into the bars of one of the empty cells.

"put him with that one- He's probably the only inmate who wont rape this crazy b*****d" a man voiced, earning a growl from Sikäri, before he was tossed into [not very gently] a cell, slamming into the wall to stop himself from propelling forwards anymore. Long white hair had fallen loose from it's restraints and he wasn't tied up anymore. That being said, they had just enough time to close the door before he was at the bars, trying to push it open. "Let me go! What are you going to do with my people!" He demanded an answer, which of course he wouldn't get as the guards simply left, leaving Sikäri to stand at the bars and stare for a moment, before he sunk down to a sitting position, bowing his head slightly as he tried to figure out a way to get out- though honestly things were looking bad.

Dorian stood up and stood at the small window that was barred up. He stared out looking up at the sky then at the ocean that was far in the distance. He was waiting for his ship...waiting to see it to show him that his crew was there...waiting to strike. Then a commotion caught his attention, hearing a new prisoner being dragged in though he hoped he wouldn't end up with a cell mate. He liked his isolation. He sighed heavily but stayed facing the wall. However the voice yelling out sounded so very familiar and when he mentioned something about 'his people' he couldn't help but hope...pray it was Sikari. Of course he also hoped it wasn't because it meant that they captured him.

Nonetheless he cleared his throat and spoke out, "What people do you speak of? What country are you coming from?" He waited, tapping her fingers against the bars.

Honestly Sikäri hadn't even really noticed the company within the cell, and lifted his head only slightly at the voice...Sounded familiar- but then again many voices sounded the same in this place. He let out a frustrated sigh, lifting a hand to push snowy hair off of his face to reveal the sun kissed face of the islander who had grown only more beautiful as the years passed. His muscles were far leaner, and by now his grace most likely out shined any dancer or high classed lady. Plus his hair completely lacking of color had a silky sheen to it despite the fact that he had been locked up for so long. Even in captivity and tattered clothing he looked stunning.

"My Tribe. It's not a country as you people call it- we have no right to name the land as such. It's just our home- something like an Island to you....county living...people" He muttered, letting his hand fall- though he didn't lift his gaze to look at the prisoner. he was too preoccupied inspecting his surroundings to even notice that his former lover was standing there- alive.

User ImageSlowly he glanced back to see the male speaking. When he finally planted his eyes on the male his hopes and fears were confirmed. He didn't show any emotions however as he stood there facing the male with his arms crossed. Inside he was happy and sad, his heart aching as he wanted to embrace the male but who knew if Sikari could even remember him. Plus...there was that chance that he had moved on. Dorian knew that it probably looked as if he had died. Telling Sikari he was alive...who knew how angry he would be. Dorian felt all around guilty for what had happened.

With a heavy sigh he sat down on his bed and stared at the wall again. "Just wait a bit....we'll get out of here soon. My crew will come bust me out soon and i'll bring you along with your people too. I owe you that much..." he mumbled softly as he looked down at the floor. Brushing his hair back he took his ragged shirt. If his voice and face didn't remind Sikari yet, then his body would. The scars were still the same after all as well as the tattoos. Of course he had fresher scars now and he was a lot more muscular than before.

"I'm sorry...." he mumbled softly and added, "...that you're in here..." He had wanted to apologize for having left, for having disappeared but at the moment he was unable to utter such an apology.

The males brows furrowed slightly as the man spoke.. his crew... crew... That voice- but it couldn't be. That person was dead- he remembered seeing the flag, his hat.... And then there was nothing but a pain in his chest that had lingered for so long he had forgotten about it- until it flared up and memories hit him in a wave. In an instant he was on his feet, pressing his back against the bars as he stared at the male with wide eyes filled with a mixture of hurt, confusion, anger, pain... probably love and many other emotions that were currently tightening his chest and making it a bit difficult to breathe. "Y-you died" He breathed, his own voice cracking with emotions as he gazed wildly around the cell almost like he was looking for the person who was playing a cruel trick on him, before his eyes landed upon the male once more.

"Died. You're dead." He stated again, shaking his head slowly, though he didn't pull his gaze away. "we held a ceremony of death- I mourned, grieved. You're not....." He continued, knowing that he was becoming a bit hysteric, but who could really blame him when he had believed the person he had loved had been dead for five years. He lifted shaking hands to cover his face, taking in a few deep breaths as if to steady himself, before he dragged his hands down, staring at the male with glossy sapphire blue eyes. "Dorian" He muttered, the name seeming so familiar yet foreign on his tongue- though it also held a sense of longing that he couldn't shake- but he couldn't get himself to move- he wasn't even sure his legs would be able to work at this point.

User ImageDorian watched Sikari. His reaction had been the reactions he might have had if they were in switched position but he certainly felt emotional himself in that he had been longing for the other male for such a long time. He had never stopped thinking about him and he had always told himself that once he got out he would find his way back to the island and beg for forgiveness as long as he had to. And if he had to, he would do whatever he could to win the heart of the lovely person before him who still had his heart. The thought of never being able to see him was what killed him the most, it was what was slowly driving him insane.

Standing up he watched Sikari and the sound of his name coming from that heavenly voice literally made his heart skip a beat. He clenched his fists as he wasn't sure what he should do. His breathing became shaky as well as he couldn't help but stop the tears from trickling down his face. He spoke softly still with a shaky voice, "I...I'm sorry...I don't expect you to forgive me....but I..I just want you to know that all I could think of...all I could think of while being stuck here was finding you again..."

Taking a deep breath he forced himself to move since he felt frozen as well. He reached out and grabbed the other male and held him in a warm and tight embrace. He had to touch him, he had to hold him in his arms again. If Sikari tried to struggle from his arms he would not let him go and he would let him beat on his to try and get him to let go but even then he would not. How could he?

Sikäri wanted nothing but to disappear and forget this, why? Because we wasn't sure he could take it if this really was a sick joke. He stiffened when the male stood up, following the male with his eyes the entire time as he stepped forwards, explaining himself- apologizing to Sikäri even when he couldn't figure out if this was real or not- which made it hurt more. He felt small, like a child being confronted by a monster in the dark...scared that this was all going to turn out wrong. The tears that pooled from the other males eyes made his heart race like a rabbit being stalked by a hawk- he felt cornered- trapped and uncertain. "You were dead" He repeated, though this time he felt his voice break entirely as a wet tear slid from his deep eyes- reflecting the betrayal and loss he had felt all this time.

When Dorian moved towards him his eyes widened, and he almost lunged away from the male, but he couldn't. His chest tightened further when he was pulled into the others embrace which was too tight for comfort but that was entirely understandable. All at once he was surrounded by everything that was 'Dorian'. His scent, his arms...that warm voice that could speak such sweet words to him- and he felt something inside of himself break. "you were gone for five years. I lost you. You left me!" He voiced, his words trembling and wet as he lifted a hand to dig his fingers into Dorian's arm, though not hard enough to break the skin or anything. He didn't push the male away- but he wasn't exactly embracing him back...instead he felt like he was holding his breath- and only when he really needed air did he let his head fall forwards to rest his forehead against the other mans chest meekly.

User ImageHe buried his face against the males head, inhaling his scent, the smell of his hair alone was enough to have all the memories they had together flood back and he couldn't help but stop from his body from shaking. If he could he would have done it all differently. But no matter what he knew that if he had stayed then they would have all been captured or died. Dorian couldn't let that happen, it's why he had taken the deal. He knew that if he truly loved Sikari...then he would let him go and save the man he loved and save his people. The fact that the Navy had broken the deal only angered him and he was starting to get that familiar blood thirst. However now was not the time to let his anger take over. Now he had to explain it to Sikari and only hope that the male would understand.

Tilting his head back he stared up at the ceiling, more tears trickling down the side of his face. He took deep breaths to prevent his voice from cracking as he began to talk. He told him how he had fought his hardest with his crew but he knew that the only way to keep everyone alive it meant having to give himself up. He told Sikari how he stood chained on the dock watching the island disappear in the distance and that the further they sailed away, the more his own heart began to break knowing that he would be just as devastated.

Looking down at the male his arms tightened around him a bit more but loosened up slightly so that it was a more comforting embrace. "I missed you. The only thing that I could think of while being stuck in here was you. You were all I could see when I shut my eyes. Another year without you.....I would gone mad, I would have given up on everything and taken my own life. No torture they gave me matched the pain I felt inside whenever I thought about how I left you. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..." Dorian paused a moment as his voice did end up cracking and he looked away because his face expressed his anguish as well. Sikari had his people to help him grieve and to support him. Dorian had to suffer alone. After collecting himself a bit he continued, "I hope that you can forgive me some day. If you don't I understand.... I just want you to know....no, I need you to know...." He looked down into the males eyes.

"I love you."

He could feel the other male trembling against him, and yet somehow he managed to remain steady- still holding onto Sikäri with a desperation that did not go unnoticed. He listened to the male speak, taking in his story silently, but he paid attention to every single detail. He could at least listen to what Dorian had to say- hear how much he had suffered as well... If anything Sikäri knew that his unresponsiveness was cruel... It was just hard coming to terms with the fact that Dorian was here- embracing him like he used to. His throat tightened when he told him about watching the island grow further and further away.... How was he supposed to react to this? It wasn't like Sikäri was cold... he didn't know how to simply push someone away and tell them to leave it- he'd always been emotional.

When his grip loosened around him he hesitantly lifted his head to gaze up at the male- unable to believe he hadn't recognized him right away- but he had changed just as Sikäri had. He bit the inside of his cheek hard as the male spoke of going mad and taking his own life as a result... Had it been that horrible? No he didn't need to ask. Obviously it had been a nightmare, living in a cell for five years never knowing if you were going to be here for the rest of your life or not. More tears managed to roll down his cheeks, though he had yet to utter a word- but as soon as Dorian uttered those three short words a sob broke from his lips. "I missed you too....." He managed to get out, before he tilted his head forward again to rest his forehead on Dorian's chest again, his body suddenly wracked with sobs that he hadn't even managed to let out when he had thought Dorian was dead. but now that he was here apparently it was time to break down. "It's not you're fault" He gasped out, shaking his head slightly, his head still bowed down against his chest "There's nothing to forgive... I'm being petty- I" He murmured, his voice breaking once again "I should be happy right now" He added, a soft laugh bubbling from his lips which probably sounded mildly hysteric at this point.

Though Dorian was happy that Sikari didn't reject him...at the moment, he also felt like s**t considering how the male in his arms was sobbing like he was. It only proved how much he had been hurt by all of this. Truth was that it was no ones fault (well probably the Navy) yet Dorian still held the burden of guilt in him and all he wanted to do and say was sorry and how he deserved nothing but anger in response. He wouldn't feel right unless Sikari let out the obvious anger he had in him for what had happened. Maybe it would help with his guilt but once his guilt faded he would probably start to feel more depressed. No matter what happened from here, Dorian would always look back on what he had done to the person he loved. For a moment he almost felt like his mother. She had left as well for a very long time. But when she did reappear in his life he had been happy and surprised to see her but eventually he grew angry with her and wanted nothing to do with that woman. Perhaps that's what he feared would happen. Once Sikari expressed his hurt emotions he feared that all that would be left would be anger and he would want nothing to do with him. Was karma smacking him on the face for what he had done?

Looking down at the male he removed her arms from around him and took one step back, reaching up to grab his face between his hands so that he could wipe away the tears from his eyes and make him look up at him. He stared down at him for awhile, staring into those eyes filled with anguish. "I was gone for a long time Sikäri...I know that deep down you're not happy. You're angry and I don't blame you. In a view moments I vanished from your life and in a view moments I reappear. Five years has been a long time...I haven't given up on seeing you again, but what I need to know is if you haven given up on me..."

Though the reunion between the two made him happy, he had to be serious. Dorian only wanted to know what would be the future between himself and Sikäri. He had to know if he could still hold on to the hope that they would still have a life together, or if he had to let that go too.

Sikäri took quivering breaths, attempting to calm himself somehow even though it wasn't working all that well- but he didn't like crying like this- it wasn't like him. He nearly resisted when the other male stepped back and lifted his face so he had to meet his eyes- knowing he probably looked like a mess right now- but he didn't particularly care. His mind was still registering that this was Dorian- this person in front of him was not some kind of phantom or hallucination... But the real thing and because of that he was shaken. He had believed him to be dead for such a long time it was a bit of a blow to suddenly find him alive- not that he wasn't relieved. Sure something in him was extremely angry- but he wasn't sure it was anger directed at Dorian. More so the navy- the people who had taken him away and made him believe the person he had fallen in love with was gone for ever.

He couldn't help but lean into one of the males hands, his sapphire orbs closing for a moment as he let the feel of the other mans hand warm his cheek- bringing back fond memories- and the sound of his own name said by that voice sent a shiver down his spine. He was somehow managing to calm his breathing, resorting to shuddering breaths rather than full on sobs. "I'm not mad at you... well in a way I am- but not in the way you think... I'm just mad you disappeared....." He murmured, his own voice still sounding wet with emotion but at least it wasn't breaking anymore. His strange accent only seemed to color those emotions with vibrancy. He let his eyes open once more to meet the others gaze, offering him a small somewhat feeble smile as he lifted a hand to cup Dorian's hand in his own, still pressed to his cheek. "It's not in my nature to simply give up... You of all people should know that" He sighed, enjoying the warmth that was being shared by another human being.

He hadn't been this intimate with anyone since he had believed Dorian to be dead- and the contact...well it was breathtaking- painful and beautiful all at the same time. "I thought you were dead.... I didn't stop....." He continued, pausing for a moment to stare at the males face a moment "Loving you." He continued, his voice sounding strangely small to his ears. Those words feeling so foreign to him- words he hadn't said to anyone in five years.

A lot of what he was saying was making him feel more relief and he didn't feel as afraid as before. He watched the other male cup his hand on his and it was becoming harder to not embrace him and crush him to death. Of course he wouldn't crush him to death then that would ruin everything including himself. A small warm smile grew on his face and when Sikari had stated that he never stopped loving him that was probably his breaking point. He could and didn't want to control his actions anymore. He removed one hand from the males cheek and wrapped his arm around Sikari's waist to pull him close against him then with the other hand he took the males chin to tilt his head up more as he leaned down and didn't hesitate to kiss him, something he had dreamed of doing for all these years. He deepened the kiss, kissing him tenderly and passionately to show him how much he had wanted him.

After a moment he removed his other hand to wrap his other arm around him, lifting Sikari up into a warm embrace while they kissed.

Sikäri felt his face warm up as Dorian smiled at him- that was surely a sight that he had missed. Deep oceanic blue eyes widened as Dorian slipped a hand around his waist and pulled him close, drawing the breath from him as Dorian leaned in to kiss him. The moment their lips met he felt his knees go weak, hesitantly slipping his arms up and around Dorians neck. He gasped into the kiss as he was lifted into the embrace, unable to really pull himself away. He hadn't felt this wanted for such a long time- and it was a bit of a shock to his senses but that didn't mean it wasn't a pleasant surprise.

He only drew back when he needed to catch his breath, lifting one hand to softly card his fingers through the males hair which had grown quite long. "You need a hair cut...and a shave" he muttered, cracking a small genuine smile as he peered at the male holding him. Of course he probably looked like he needed a hair cut too- but he wouldn't be able to cut off his hair now. Plus he kind of liked it...it was a reminder of the past. His eyes searched the other males face as he slowly caught his breath "Don't ever disappear again" He whispered softly, but he was dead serious. He probably couldn't go through all of that again.

Dorian set Sikari back down after their long embrace and he couldn't help but laugh when he commented on his beard and hair. "Yeah well once we get out of here I'll do something about it." He was sure to say 'we' and not 'me' since he would go no where without Sikari. He took in a deep breath and sighed heavily before nodding, "Yes, don't worry, I won't disappear on you again. Promise. I'll tie a rope around us so you know where to find me whenever I go off on my own." He chuckled and rubbed Sikari's head, messing up his hair a bit.

"Oh look at this, you're hair is even longer, I like it," he smiled and leaned in, whispering his usual perverted humor. It was along the lines of having something more to hold on to while having their usual fun time. He went so far as to give Sikari a little pat on his behind.

Just then the prison guards came back in which prompted him to set Sikari down on the bed while he stood by the cell door with his arms dangled out. He stood there while the guards did their usual harassment with all the prisoners.
