So it's friday night. You have nothing to do, so you decide to go see the local wrestling promotion you saw on a poster in a shop downtown.
You go to the building, with maybe 6-7 other cars in the parking lot. Open the door, and hand your 10 bucks to the girl sitting at the table, and she hands you a ticket. You step through another doorway into a brightly lit basketball court/gymnasium, covering your eyes from the glare of the lights on the court.
Eventually, you take a seat among the many scattered out folding chairs, and slowly people start filing in, until around 30-40 fans are seated, talking to one another about random things, some of them wrestling related. You look at your watch, waiting for 6:00 bell time, wondering how you're going to pass the time.
Finally, the lights dim, and the first entrance music plays from a horribly set up PA System, and the show begins...
This is Crossfire Championship Wrestling. Independent wrasslin', the way it really is. No big names, no big crowds, no big paydays, just wrestling because you like to wrestle. We wrestle in a gymnasium with folding chairs set up around the ring for the very small crowds to sit in. No grand lighting displays or pyro.
Basically, this is my attempt to see how much interest there would be in my guild I've had the idea for, for a few years now. We're a true indy fed. You create a NEW character, and RP as a fresh face in a small-town promotion.
I know this isn't that great of an introduction, or even that good an attempt to gain interest, but this is just me probing the waters, seeing how many people would be into it. If not, that's cool, just throwing it out there, as I've gotten the itch to try to start it again...
