After a week away, Saskia had returned to the cave where she'd slept after witnessing the gruesome aftermath of a skin walker attack. Everything had turned out well, in the end, but understandably she hadn't wanted to stick around long once she had slept off the exhaust from her desperate sprint.
"Hello?" she called out, looking both around the forest and up in the air for any trace of the residents. The fall leaves crackled under her hooves. "Hello? Is there anybody home today?"
Maybe they had gone evacuated the area themselves. After an event like that she certainly wouldn't be the one to blame them! Maybe they just wern't in the mood to be approaching strangers. "Hello? It's me, Saskia! I've come to see how you're all doing..."

Lady Aria Starstone Aurianna was in the cave, keeping an eye on things, and heard a voice outside. She blinked a little, then suddenly smiled. Oh it was that kind young mare who'd helped Miro! She stood and trotted to the entrance of the cave, her wings flat against her.
"Hello! I'm here, Saskia. I never did get the chance to thank you for your kindness in helping Miroqi." She sticks her head out, blinking as the light hits her eyes. "He's off, right now, with Chane. He's still healing up some, and is... rather more skittish then he used to be, but I think he'll come through this ok in the end." She smiled warmly at the other mare and stretched her wings a moment.

She let out a breathy sigh, "So he's doing well, then? That's good, I've been very worried about the three of you. Chane was the grey, limpy one, right?" She smiled back, quickly relaxing in the presence of the stronger mare. "Sorry I haven't stuck around to help. I just couldn't get it past my head that that creature might be back to finish off the lot of us while we slept..."

Lady Aria Starstone "It's all right, we understand. And yes, Chane is the one with the limp." She nodded, and trotted forwards."You have been well since that day? You had a hard run and I was concerned for you after. I did not want you to founder, or be otherwise injured by it!"

She nodded, "I've been well. Once I slept off the initial bit I had a few days of soar muscles and a few nights of extra long sleeps but besides that I've recovered just fine. I spent some time in the cool pools and even met a new friend." She glanced behind herself as if to see if someone was behind. "He usually stays by the pools though."

Lady Aria Starstone "Oh that is lovely. New friends are always a delight." She nodded her head happily. "And the pools are a good place to deal with youraches in general. I just haven't had a chance to go to them in a few days." She sighed a little, then shrugged. "I will go when i get the chance, it will be lovely to relax for a few hours."

"I'll tell you how to get to my pool before I go. It's a nice, cool pool with only a few crocodiles in it," she laughed. "Bring the boys too, I'm sure they could use a nice long soak."
She stepped closer to Aurianna, "How long have they been gone? I'd really like to see them again before I have to go."

Lady Aria Starstone "I am... hmmm. A bit. I'm sure Miro will be back soon. I don't know if Chane will be with him or not though." She tilted her head as she thought about it. "Yes, it wont be long. And I would love to see that pool, it would be nice to know it's agenerally safer place to visit. Crocodiles are... all right at a distance, I suppose, so long as they don't get too close..."

She shrugged her shoulders and sighed, "Well, I'll hang around as long as I can and hopefully they'll be back soon so I can invite them to the pool myself. It really is a lovely place, Auri. It will be even nicer in the spring. I've been seeking out old buried bulbs and wild flower seeds and spreading them around the pond. It's taking a bit of work but, oh, when they sprout it's going to be so beautiful."

Lady Aria Starstone Auri smiled at the idea, and then sighed. "Oh spring can't come soon enough, I'm so so tired of the cold and the snow and I want to see flowers again soon!"

"It's really funny, I never intended to stay here longer than a few weeks or so. But then Miroqi was hurt, and I started planting my flowers... Now I really want to stay longer. It would feel too weird moving on so fast. Have you ever had something like that happen to you, Auri?"
