P E R S O N A L I T Y a i r h e a d e d : while not exactly stupid, December is admittedly not the fastest to catch on. She's forgetful and has the attention span of a hyperactive squirrel. Easily distracted and even more easily deceived and beguiled; she has a problem with trusting people blindly with little to no regard for common sense. Common sense is for wimps.
e a s y g o i n g : relaxed and beyond casual, she's never been one to start trouble or delve into drama. Though she does love her some camp gossip, December is the definition of chill. Nothing ever seems to set her off, no matter how bad the insult or tense the situation. It's been speculated that underneath that calm, laid back veneer is a boiling mass of rage just wasting to explode. I guess we'll never know...
r e a s o n a b l e : December might not be sensible, per say, but she does accept other people's good sense and logic. A natural diplomat, she's good at seeing both sides of an issue and has a good grasp of fairness and compromise. She's even willing to take criticism herself, and is very hard to offend or alienate because of her accepting, open minded nature.
s w e e t : truth be told, she's a bit of a bleeding heart. She always wants to be on everyone's good side and keep everyone happy, which may seem ridiculous at first, but is actually much cleverer than even December herself gives credit for. She's always ready to help someone out, even if it might hurt her in the end.
c h e e k y : while she manages to stay on most everyone's good side, since she's seen as cute, ditzy, and generally harmless, December has quite the mouth. She's not so good with come backs, since she usually doesn't even come up with one until hours later, but she can be very funny and sassy, mostly unintentionally. She's rarely serious, anyways, and she doesn't do sarcasm, so she gets away with a lot. Also, no one really wants to be very nasty to the host of the Oracle.
u n s t a b l e : unfortunately, December isn't always as dependable as she would like to be, and it's probably best not to rely on her too much. Her heart is in the right place, but she's a bit... wishy washy at times. Part of it has to do with being the host of the Oracle. While very sane and for the most part in touch with reality, there's a certain point at which December simply doesn't have much control over herself. She says things without knowing she's saying them, sees without looking at anything, draws and writes things that are definitely not from her own mind, but someone else's. She can see the past, present, and future and it has its drawbacks.
s u p e r f i c i a l : sometimes it's hard for her to realize the graveness of a situation. December is the type of girl who might giggle through a funeral, not of cruelty, but because she can become disconnected with the present. She's seen so many thing, through her own eyes and those of the Oracle, that she's not very good at being serious. She generally just thinks it's best to let come what will, because she knows everything comes full circle in the end. She's seen it. That doesn't mean she can't come off as shallow and disrespectful, which she can.F A T A L - F L A W December's fatal flaw is her unstable nature. It puts her at a significant disadvantage and she's extremely vulnerable when she's having a vision or in a state, completely out of it. It makes her a very weak link. FEARS Though the curse of the Oracle is no longer in place, December one day fears going insane from her prophecies and visions. She shares her mind, and treasures it. To lose it would be unthinkable. She's also afraid of seeing her own death or the death of those she loves. It would break her.

P A S T Angelica and Blaise met later in life than most couples. They were both thirty one and newly single, in sunny Miami. The romance was a whirlwind one. They were married before the year was over, and Angelica was pregnant very quickly. They had three daughters, December, June, and April, named for the months they were born in, which their parents thought was witty and creative and they thought was sort of stupid. December was the eldest and the little ball of sunshine, the always smiling child. She was talented too, good at almost everything she tried, and being from the upper middle class she had plenty of opportunities. Horse back riding lessons and singing classes and dance teachers and vacations in the summer were all part of her life. Her parents worked good jobs and they lived in a pleasant gated community full of families just like them, with manicured lawns and white picket fences. She went to a small private school.
And then it started. December could see things, hear things, that other people couldn't. At first they were just blurry images out of the corner of her eye. And then they took form, and she started seeing the monsters, and sometimes, the people who fought them. It was unnerving and horrifying and she spent most of her childhood going from therapist to therapist, being prescribed medicine after medicine. "She's schizophrenic," they said. "She needs treatment". December was very, very sure that she was not mentally ill. What she could see was real. It was just that no one else could see it.
And then... she realized that the monsters could see her, too. This was a problem, and it might have become a deadly problem if not for the interference of a satyr who realized this mortal could obviously see through the Mist. She wasn't a demigod, but she had some powers, obviously, and he took her to Camp Halfblood. Okay, so it was more like he pretty much kidnapped her, and there were Missing Child signs put up by her frantic parents, but she got to Long Island with her new friend. It was a fun road trip. Fun for her. He, meanwhile, was trying to avoid things that would want to kill them.
December was just happy he let them stop for ice cream and at convenience stores on the way up the East Coast. They were very lucky, and made it to Camp Halfblood unscathed. December passed through the barrier with ease, and was brought to those in charge, who came to the conclusion that she had to be the new Host of the Oracle, a position long left vacant. They asked the twelve year old if she would be willing to take on the Oracle. She agreed readily. Then she spent the next month in a state. She hadn't been prepared for the feeling of someone else in her mind, the echoes in her head, the visions, the urge to draw and write things and say things that she didn't even want to. It was almost too much, but she got through it.
She wrote her family many letters, and managed to convince them that she was somewhere safe, where she was alright, where she had friends. And she did. She adored the demigods; thought they were "super cool!". Who wouldn't want to be the son or daughter of a long forgotten Greek deity? December sure would! She was envious of them. While she delivered prophecies, they got to have adventures. They traveled all over and saw amazing things. She was, and always would be, she was sure, stuck at Camp. Except for when she visited Florida, which she did, often, and cheerfully warded off questions and tried to make sure her sisters didn't see her blindly writing things down or mumbling to herself about heroes and gods. No need to make them think she was any crazier, right?
Now having been at the camp for three years, she happily calls it home and spends her days shamelessly annoying everyone she can. She's gotten very good at dodging weapons being thrown at her.
