Dauper is a remote, scarcely populated village of hunters located in a mountain forest in the southern area of Wall Rose. After the fall of Wall Maria, Dauper began suffering food shortages as the influx of refugees led to more people settling in the area than could be supported by hunting. As a result, some began to feel that they should cease their ancestral practice of hunting in favor of growing crops, which is a more efficient way of producing food. The capital also offered to pay them if they'd begin breeding horses. The majority of those who lived here said that humans should stick together and help each other out while the rest resented that thought for they did not like the thought of outsiders coming in and telling them to give up their traditional lifestyle. This small village has been split into two groups. The first group continue their traditional ways and hunt as a source of food and support while the other half farm. The entire village though is responsible for breeding horses regardless. Though both halves don't agree they will still (sometimes reluctantly) work together.
