"Should we get you another blanket, Erionda?" Lanzecki questioned.
"Do you need something to drink?" Uassae chirped.
"Maybe you should lie down. You look as though you could use it."
"Perhaps you really aught to take a nap, Erionda."
"I could try fixing you something to eat."
"Eating might not be the best idea. She's looking awe fully pale Lanzecki." Uassae spoke in a matter of fact tone.
"Enough." Erionda growled cutting Uassae and Lanzecki off in the middle of their deliberation. "I don't need everyone fussing over me every second. You're starting to drive me crazy!"
"But you know the concern we have for you and the baby?" Uassae explained slowly.
"She does look awfully pale... Erionda? Do you need anything at all?"
"I'm fine," she murmured, pushing herself to her feet so she could walk around. Her lower back ached horribly but she figured it was because of the hard floor she had been sitting on. Erionda rolled her eyes as her companions continued to argue.
Erionda found herself shaking her head and refusing to give any inkling bout the pains she was experience. They weren't nearly as severe as the ones she'd had off and on the last couple of weeks. They were actually fairly mild. If only she could get rid of the stiffness in her lower back. Erionda winced, it felt as though someone was squeezing on her stomach. Not hard enough to hurt but just hard enough to make her uncomfortable.
The baby suddenly shifted, and Erionda gasped. This time the pain had doubled, and there was a sudden feeling of warm water gushing out from within her. Something prodded the back of her mind, something that Erionda didn't want to understand.
Biting her bottom lip Erionda tried to pull herself from her bent position. The movement forced more liquid out of her body. And it didn't matter how hard she tried she couldn't staunch the flow. Still refusing to believe what her mind was now screaming at her, Erionda deliberately ignored her own thought.
Until she placed a hand on her own stomach. The sudden shrinkage under her fingers was something that could not be denied. "Kilian..." She called out, her voice trembling. But no response came from the house.
Uassae rose to his feet and plodded quickly to Erionda's side. "Where do you want to go?" His voice and emotions gentle despite the obvious upset in his expression. Where was that Oblivionite anyway?
Erionda couldn't answer. The first pain to really hit her since her water had broken was significantly stronger than the ones she had been suffering. She gasped softly and could only manage a weak 'nn' sound when he turned to go outside.
"The barn?" He asked, meaning well in the light tease to distract her from Kilian's lack of presence.
She shook her head as she clutched her stomach and tried to concentrate on breathing. She wasn't sure how long she had, before the waves of contractions intensified. The bedroom please. Uassae. Erionda's mental voice spoke over their strong bond.

Kilian’s hands moved over the Hastar he had just dismounted. A small smile playing at his lips as he thought of Erionda and the child she carried. It had been a tough job keeping her held up in the house but despite protests, she had taken it easy ninety five percent of the time. His fingers worked deftly at the reins, making quick work of the beast’s holdings. He patted it’s hind end as he went over to Amadia and patted her head. “Good work.” He mumbled as he bent to pick up their spoils, meat. Their supply had been getting low so Kilian had taken off into the cold, Aisko weather to work on restocking it.
Amadia’s head jerked towards the house just as Kilian’s hand moved away. Without saying anything, she bolted out of the barn and towards the house, Kilian frowning as he followed after her. “What in the world,” he wondered as he slung his spoils over his shoulder and headed inside. Kilian’s frown deepened as he entered the house. No one was around and at first, he heard no sounds. “Rio? Ama?” he called out. “Lanzecki? Uassae?” He set the meat down on the table, intent on going in search of his mate and their drakeins when his gaze swept past the mess on the floor.
At the same time Amadia’s voice rang through Kilian’s thoughts. “Baby, now!” She basically shouted through their connection. It took a few seconds for the words and their meaning to register before he snapped into action. His body was on autopilot. As if it knew exactly where to go even if his mind was a complete and total mess.
“Erionda?” he asked on an exhaled sigh as he pushed his way past Amadia and into their bedroom. “Rio…” Kilian rushed to her side, kneeling on the floor just as another pain seemed to shoot through her. His brows knit together, worry crossing his face. “Is it time? Really?” He bit his lip as he looked up at Uassae and then back to Erionda. “I’m sorry I wasn’t here right away. I had gone hunting and just got back.” He brought his fingers up to her face to brush away a few stray strands of hair as he laced the fingers of his other hand between her’s. “I’m here now.”

Uassae was first to bar the doorway into what he now dubbed the birthing chamber. He wanted to scold Kilian, to let him know that she was doing all this for him. He could feel the terrible pain of her labor through the bond and the pain was making him irritable.
Kilian? Erionda mentally questioned her older companion. He... should be here.
Uassae snarled, he didn't look like he agreed with her at all. Grudgingly stepping aside, he let Kilian and Amadia pass. When Lanzecki tried to do the same, though, the Aeduan slapped him back with a tail to the shoulder. "Forget it. There's enough people in there. Can't you tell how stressed she's getting!?"
Lanzecki looked like he was ready to argue it before seeing the steely glint in Uassae's eyes. With a defeated sigh, Lanzecki sank down in the hallway to wait.
No longer feeling the need to protect the entrance to the chamber with Lanzecki at the door Uassae slipped to Erionda's free side. Wiggling his muzzle under her free arm. He whined, wanting to take the pain away from her as they intensified. He could feel them, and yet his magic would be useless here. Not to mention with the baby being Kilian's he didn't want to risk harming the Oblivionite child with his Aeduan magic.
Another groan made her want to curl in on herself, her eyes partially opened at the sound of Kilian's voice. There he was, followed by the feeling of his hand in hers. Another pain hit her hard, and Erionda gasped. She didn't answer as she worked through the discomfort. When the pain had passed she opened her eyes again and smiled at Kilian. "I'll be alright."
Erionda... is there anything I can do? Uassae asked as he felt her sweaty hand brush against his muzzle. Pressing his muzzle into her ribs tenderly he shook his head as he glared towards Kilian. "I can't believe you would do this for him." He said quietly.
Erionda winced. "I love him... You" Turning her head so she could look at Kilian she ran her fingers along the ear tip closest to her, smiling for him so he wouldn't feel the guilt Uassae had tried to place on his shoulders.
The pains were coming quickly now, Erionda tried to brace herself. Tried to fight the scream of pain as it ripped from within her. Her body and soul cried out time and time again until a small baby boy found his way into the world.

Kilian kept his fingers laced between her's, determined to let her squeeze it until the bones cracked and his hand was useless. Anything that might help ease the pain she was so obviously going through. Kilian winced at Uassae's words just as Erionda cried out. His attention immediately went from his inner self to Erionda and the baby. He watched, in amazement, as the tiny being, that he had helped create, was born into the world. The instant the boy was out, he started to cry.
Kilian let his hand fall from Erionda's as he moved quickly, grabbing up a towel and wrapping his baby's small frame up in the soft fabric and wiping at it's face. "Erionda...Oh Rio. He's beautiful. So very beautiful," he said as he moved back to her side, their baby tucked safely in his arms. He reached a hand out and swept her damp hair away from her forehead and leaned down to place a kiss there. "Look what we did...what you did." A small smile formed across his lips as he looked down at his baby boy. It was amazing what two people could create and now they were part of that process.

Some of the pain eased, a feeling of calm washed over her as the infants cry filled the air. She was tired and drained, the sweat pooling on her skin from the efforts of labor soaked her clothes and her hair. Her eyes searched her mate as he gathered up their infant child. A light smile tugged at one corner of her lips. Uassae pulled back still watching everyone around him with a curious gaze. Erionda extended her arms out. "I want to see him." Her voice was almost demanding as she spoke before another contraction set it. Wasn't this supposed to be the end of the pain!?
Lanzecki's head popped up as Erionda returned to the same pain she had been in before the child was born. Worried he struggled to his feet attempting to enter the room before Uassae's glare stopped him. What he could see was the tiny feet of an infant for the briefest of moments.
The older Khehora rumbled as he returned to Erionda's side, her pain returning just as powerfully as before. This time it seemed to grip her harder, lasted longer. He was aware of the shift in time all around him. Erionda's pain had started to intensify near the fall of the sun, now it was coming up again and she was still in pain. He knew his bonded was a strong contender for life, but this only helped to prove it. She battled dragons, survived the heat of Eowyn and now the birth of her child. What more could possible happen that she would have to endure? Was she dying? Had something gone wrong while giving birth to the Oblivionites child?
Was she going to die? Uassae's eyes turned on the Oblivionite threateningly. If she dies he and Lanzecki would die too. If that happened he would make sure to come back and destroy whatever remained. Rio deserved to live. Hissing as another scream came from Erionda Uassae wasn't taking any chances. Building up his power within himself he pressed his muzzle into the side of her stomach. His power flowing into her, attempting to ease the pain before he stopped and pulled back.
"Another!?" Uassae shifted away as Erionda gave birth to a second child.

As Kilian moved to show her their child, Erionda's pain returned. His brows knitted together and he moved, quickly, back to her side, their small, infant son still in his arms. "Erionda..." His words were quiet, muted by worry. What was going on? Had something gone wrong? The birth, though painful, had seemed like it had been going well. He pulled back as he saw Uassae moving close to her, his power spreading over Erionda. Kilian flinched, the aedaun magic visibly draining his own energy.
Kilian grit his teeth through it, knowing that Uassae was only trying to help Erionda. He would not retreat from the room. Instead, he stayed put, watching helplessly as Uassae pulled back. The khehora's next words stunned him, his eyes going wide. "Another...baby? Twins...?" Kilian was brought out of his surprise by the cry of another baby, which was soon joined in by his son's matching cries. They had two children. Two.
He quickly moved to wrap the other baby, a little girl, up in a blanket. "Rio...it's a little girl. We have two." He smiled big as he moved back to her side, both children in his arms. "Can you believe it?" he asked as he situated himself so that she could see them both.

It was some time before Erionda felt relaxed again. Hovering on the edges of consciousness she tried to look at her children. Two of them, a baby boy and a baby girl. Irritation marred her features. Why wasn't Kilian letting her hold her children? It wasn't like she was going to be awake for long, and he wouldn't get them back. She wanted to hold them to her. The soft cry from the younger one grew louder and more demanding. Tears rolled down her face. She wanted to see her babies. And after all the pain she had just gone through, she deserved to see her babies.
"Give them to me Kilian." Erionda's voice was soft but demanding as she spoke. Her emotion's raw in her voice. "I want to be able to see their faces too." She was starting to become more anxious the longer he waited, the longer the smaller one's cries continued. Not that her crying was a bad thing, not after Uassae had used his magic to make her feel better. That didn't mean she wasn't still worried about the smaller one. A girl.

Kilian smiled down at his children, drinking in their features. Though twins, there was so much that was different between them. He looked up when Erionda spoke, smiling much more softer as she demanded to see her children; to hold them. "Here." His voice was soft, the amazement of what he held in his arms was evident in his tone. Kilian held the children out for Erionda to take.
"You did so well Erionda." Kilian's voice cracked as he looked down at his mate, the mother of his children. "Thank you." At those words he glanced up at Uassae. "She will be alright, right? There aren't anymore?" He knew the khehora was upset with him for the pain the birth had caused his bonded, but there was nothing Kilian could do about that. It had not been only him that had participated in the act that got Erionda pregnant. He kept his mouth shut, however, simply happy to just watch his mate interact with their children.
Amadia peeked around Lanzecki, her curiosity finally getting the best of her. "I want to see too," she said as she nudged her way around the other khehora and tried to come into the room.
