Name: Dr. Francis N. Steiner (Francis Nicholai Steiner) Race: Human Age: 52 Personality: Steiner has no love for anything living, not even Plague, his own creation. Steiner is always involving himself in his work and hates to be bothered by anyone. As emotionless as he seems, Steiner is very adept at acting. He is very convincing and manipulative. Long ago his spirit was crushed and so therefore can lie without the slightest bit of guilt. He despises magic and refuses to use it, claiming that science is superior. Appearance: Steiner stands around 6 feet tall. His hair has streaks of silver, and frown marks trace his scowl. Brown eyed and fair skinned he fancies simple clothes that do not get in the way of his work and are easy to remove in case of fire. He is clean-shaven and wears his hair slicked back. His right arm is mechanical and he has a scar from a self-administered heart transplant. Weapons: Biostatic Augmentations located in his right arm and spinal column. (Looks like a mechanical backpack and arm) The arm is able to discharge stored energy like a lightning bolt, but does not hold enough charge to kill. Special Powers (Body): Extreme Intellect, and a talent for lying Pic:“Only a fool lets ethics get in the way of progress…” Bio: Steiner grew up as the son of a carpenter. His mother, a beautiful woman and wonderful mother, was involved in an accident when he was very young and suffered health complications as a result. Along with learning his family trade, young Steiner became interested in anatomy and the sciences of his time. He would spend his spare time pouring over medical books and handwritten research journals in a nearby collection. Around the age of 17 his mother’s health worsened. Fearing his mother would soon pass, Steiner pleaded with his family to let her see a doctor in a nearby city. He knew that only a simple operation would save his mother’s life, or at least allow her to continue living long enough for him to find a permanent solution. However, his family would hear none of it. Despite his reasoning, they felt that prayer and superstitions would eventually cure her. Steiner felt helpless. He sat with his mother the night she passed away, knowing what could have been done to save her. He cursed his family, and burnt their house to the ground before finally leaving to pursue his passion for medicine and science. Steiner found his families views to be a recurring theme, and eventually, he turned his back on humanity altogether. In seclusion, Steiner surpassed the greatest minds of his day. He was even successful at creating an entirely new form of life. However, one day, Steiner shut down his laboratory and froze himself without any plans of returning. Close to a thousand years after sealing it away, Steiner’s monster returned to set him free.

Name: Plague Race: Microorganism Colony Age: Approximately 1000 years Personality: Silly, intelligent, and psychotic. Plague shows very little respect for living things. He views everything as food, and is not above torturing for fun. He goes ballistic if injured or insulted. He listens only to Dr. Steiner. Appearance: Plague has the ability to change his shape whenever he pleases as long as his body mass allows it. Usually, he takes the form of a thin young man with pointy features and dark hair. Plague can usually be recognized by his sharp teeth which he seems to keep regardless of his form. This tends to give him away if he doesn’t change it beforehand. Weapons: None Special Powers (Body): The cells that make up Plagues body work much like a virus. A plague infection works in three steps. During the first, they will enter the bloodstream and replicate. They disguise themselves by fooling the prey’s immune system and replicating the body’s natural cells. In the second step, when there are enough plague cells, they gather, usually in the chest cavity, and produce a sort of sack. Within the sack, a semi sentient brain like mass forms. It is not unlike the part of the brain which allows telepaths to communicate. This step two sack can stay dormant infinitely. A step two sack will not enter step three unless it receives a message from a mother colony. Upon entering step three, the sack erupts sending hungry plague cells into the bloodstream. These cells will eat their host from the inside out and replicate enough to form an entire new mother colony. Once a step two sack has entered step three, there is no way to stop the infection. A step two sack can be removed, but its surface must not be punctured or else step three will begin automatically. Plague cells give off a certain smell which dogs find putrid. Pic: “Go forth and multiply…hehe” Bio: Plague is the result of an experiment gone awry in the underground laboratory of Dr. Francis Steiner. Even though the original experiment was a failure, Steiner openly admitted that the results were far above what he had originally expected. After a long period of refinement, evolution, and field testing, Plague was its own sentient life form, and a perfect weapon. However, for unknown reasons, Dr. Steiner locked away his creation using the sealing magic of his assistant. It was apparently the only method that would truly keep Plague from spreading across the planet. Eventually though, the seal faded, and Plague was set free from his thousand years of imprisonment. Notable Plagues Name: None (Winter colony) Race: Mutated Plague Cell colony Age: Less than a year Special Powers (Body): This colony is the source of Winters absorption and shape shifting powers. Bio: This Plague colony used to be a symbiotic organism inside Winters body. However, it lost its consciousness when it fully fused with Winter. It’s a mutated form of Plague that lacks the contagious qualities of normal Plague cells. Name: Plague No. 2 / John Race: Plague Cell Colony Age: less than a year Personality: Number 2, unlike his brothers, is not as hostile. Though filled with the urge to feed and destroy, Number 2’s instincts are not as overpowering. Appearance: Number 2’s appearance differs very slightly from the other plagues. His features are not as harsh. Weapons: None Special Powers (Body): Number 2 has all the powers of the other Plagues. Bio: Number 2 is the second oldest Plague colony. Born at the Chrysalis research academy, he had all the memories and desires of his predecessors. And yet, his emotions were different. Number 2 was mellow, often unsure what to make of himself. He is often the Plague chosen to watch over Winter, and enjoys his duties. Number 2 is still discovering who he is.

Name: Kaede Race: Fox Age: (Physically 100) 1100 Personality: Kaede is usually light spirited, but easily frustrated and angered. Her amnesia has caused her to forget a lot about the world, so she often forgets how things are supposed to work. Appearance: Usually taking the form of a young woman with red hair and green eyes, Kaede is a fox underneath the illusion. Weapons: none Special Powers: Small illusions with substance, large scale illusions and, though she does not know it, the ability to warp space Special Powers (Body): Shape shifting Pic:“It’s very nice to meet you…” Bio: Kaede woke up without knowing who she was, where she was, or why she was laying in the middle of nowhere. Her surroundings unfamiliar, she wandered off without checking for any clue to her past. Slowly she began to regain the use of some of her powers. Before her amnesia, close to one thousand years into the past, she was the assistant of Doctor Francis N. Steiner at his underground laboratory. She was more of a servant, forced to do whatever Dr. Francis asked of her. When he decided to lock away his creation, it was her power over space which he used to seal him away. Presumably, she had to sustain the seal, and so spent a thousand years in a meditative state. It is still unsure what happened to interrupt and break the seal.

Name: Miyamoto Race: Homunculus Age: 6 months (Soul is 32) Personality: For Miyamoto, his sword and honor are his life. He will not hesitate to tell someone if he feels they are wrong. If he is not telling somebody they are wrong, then he is probably silent. Miyamoto does not care for conversation and had no sense of humor. He is abrasive and stubborn. Appearance: Miyamoto stands at 6 feet exactly. His hair is orange just like his eyes, and he keeps it pulled back in a ponytail. He never wears a shirt, and his feet remain bare. His body has the appearance of a man in his late 20’s and is covered in scars. Weapons: Katana and Spear Special Powers (Body): Faster regeneration and high reaction time Pic:“…” Bio: Miyamoto was a warrior who strived for mastery in his fighting style, and for fame. His lust for fighting led to his violent and untimely death at the hand of a warrior far greater in skill than Miyamoto. As he lay dying, an alchemist dragged his body away and ripped out Miyamoto’s soul, placing it in an empty artificial one of the alchemists’ creation. Confused, Miyamoto killed the alchemist and ran off into the nearby forest. The artificial body was taller than Miyamoto, and its muscles were malnourished. Feeling cheated of an honorable death, Miyamoto decided to train his new body, and track down the man who killed him. Then he would finish the fight, accepting that he would be defeated again.

Name: Irou Race: Fox Age: 331 Personality: Irou is as wise as he is impulsive and secretive. He's tricky, crafty, and manipulative ruler. Instead of fighting his enemies, Irou uses schemes and tricks to outwit or overwhelm his foes. Irou is very proud, and is not one to take orders from anyone, save for his faithful wife, Mizuho, who seems to be an exception to this rule. Despite this, Irou has a weakness for pretty girls, and must be monitored. He is harsh when angered and his wrath is that of a 300 year old leader, ruthless and swift. Appearance: Irou’s image reflects what he wants it to be. Usually though, he wears traditional clothing splashed with his own colorful flair. His human hair is long and reddish, like his fur, and his age appearance is unusually young, like that of a man just entering his twenties. Regardless of his other appearances there is one that he seems to be fond of, and does not change, which are his emerald green eyes. It is an unusual trait passed down through his family. In his fox form, he appears as a large reddish fox with three long tails trailing behind him. Weapons: A very ornate Odachi Special Powers: Illusions, transformation, fox fire and invisibility. Pic:” Lighten up and enjoy life. It's not like we live forever.” Bio: Irou is the leader of a powerful fox clan living in the mountains of Kami forest and also close friend of Miyamoto. He met Miyamoto when the man had stumbled into his territory, lost and confused. Instead of casting out the new squatter, Irou allowed Miyamoto to stay in his forest for as long as he wished. In return, Irou wanted to watch the swordsman during his stay. This eventually led to Irous tutorship under Miyamoto. Irou took a liking to Miyamoto, and wished to add his strength to the clan, offering the hand of one of his daughters. Despite Miyamoto’s flat refusal, Irou has not given up hope that someday Miyamoto will become a part of his family.

Name: Mizuho Race: Fox Age: 176 Personality: Mizuho has devoted herself completely to her family and to her husbands clan. She is quiet and reserved, yet also warm and welcoming to guests. She is a proud mother and a wise individual. Unlike her husband however, Miyamoto is very strait when dealing with her family’s enemies. She spends no time with tricks, and prefers to dispatch threats immediately and efficiently. Appearance: Mizuho spends most of her time without the illusion of a human form, reserving it for guests. When she does however, she wears ornate traditional clothes that reflect her status in her husband’s clan. Her human form is also more mature than that of her husband, being somewhere in her early thirties. Pitch black hair, skin like porcelain, and a piercing gaze make quite the impression on visitors. As a fox, she has a white stripe running down the middle of her head, and reddish orange eyes. Weapons: None Special Powers: Illusion, transformation and fox fire. Pic:“Just remember what you agreed to.” Bio: Mizuho was the daughter of a rival noble family in mountains of Kami Forest whose marriage to Irou was meant to ease tension between the two groups. Despite their arranged marriage, Mizuho and Irou could not be happier, having had twenty six children and being married for over one hundred and fifty years. In this time, Mizuho has strengthened her clan considerably which granted her high respect among other high ranking family members.

Name: Kirara Race: Fox Personality: Kirara is sweet and cheerful. She is her father’s daughter, being tricky and clever as he is. Regardless of her intelligence however, she is still a child, and is prone to occasional irrational behavior, especially when it involves something she is very passionate about. Kirara loves cute things and bright colors. Appearance: In human form, Kirara takes the appearance of a young teenage girl with red hair and either orange eyes, like her mothers, or her natural emerald green color. Her favorite colors are all bright, and her clothing reflects that. In fox form, she is younger and sleeker looking than her parents, and has bright emerald green eyes like her father as well as his rich orange fur. Weapons: None Special Powers: Transformation and small illusions Pic:“Someday Miyamoto…” Bio: Kirara is the youngest daughter of Irou and Mizuho. She was born in their castle, and has never seen the world beyond. She has spent most of her time being taught the various skills needed to become a functioning member of her clan by Mizuho and the palace teachers. She was first introduced to Miyamoto during his first visit to Irous palace, and was informed soon after that her father was attempting to arrange a marriage between her and the tall, fierce looking swordsman she had only just met. And yet, she found herself drawn to his distant personality and mysterious past. Despite his refusal, Kirara has not given up her hope that she will someday be married to Miyamoto.

Bartholomew Ravenwood & HaseName: Bartholomew Ravenwood Race: Human Warlock Age: 133 Personality: Bartholomew is very self-centered and vain. However, he is a brilliant sorcerer and charismatic gentleman, when he’s not making a complete a** of himself. Appearance: He wears bright whimsical clothing that reflects his personality. Bartholomew takes much care in his appearance, being quite trim and proper at all times. Weapons: Rapier Special Powers (Body): A slew of elemental magic gathered from various teachings, but most of his true skill lies in his illusions and non-incantation enchantments. Pic:“First you see me, now you... well you never actually saw me to begin with.” Bio: Bartholomew lead a perfectly normal childhood. His father taught at a school for the magically gifted, and his loving mother stayed home with her darling children. He was always gifted at enchantments, making his first golem out of play putty and crayons. A strait a student, Bartholomew graduated from his classes at the top of his class. He continued in his father’s footsteps, becoming a teacher, and then eventually, the headmaster of the school he and his father taught. His life was perfectly happy and privileged. And yet, as the days went by, Bartholomew began to realize that his talent was going to waste. Here he was, a wealthy man still young and intelligent, and all he was doing was teaching children? So, he left his family and career behind him, packing up his things, and moving away. He began to do his own research, determined to master all schools of magic. He was able to extend his life, and dramatically change the life of a small bunny rabbit. Not only that, but he also found he had a hidden talent for illusions, something he had not known before. Now a very powerful warlock, Bartholomew realized he could pretty much take whatever he wanted from anybody. Now he sits in his tower, planning to further his growing collection of rare tomes, priceless treasure and relics of times past, with nobody to stop him. Hase: Hase is Bartholomew’s henchman. Once an ordinary rabbit, he was enchanted by Bartholomew to serve him however he pleased. Now highly intelligent and blindingly fast, Hase loves his master, and has never complained. Hase is better off now than he was before, and he enjoys every minute of it. Hase’s Abilities: Incredible and almost unmatched speed and agility. Despite this, Hase is not inherently strong, nor much of a threat in combat. What should be taken into account however, is the myriad of enchanted items and weapons Bartholomew gives his trusted servant. He’s a bit of a trickster, often pulling pranks on his master. (After the Golem Arch)Hase, realizing the destruction Ravenwood was about to unleash upon the world, betrayed his master. The tides now turned, an elf named Tamara transferred his masters bond with the dragon KoTari to herself, defeating the magician. Hase, now without anywhere to go and no master to return to, left Ravenwoods castle behind.

Name: Maple Ravenwood Race: Human witch Age: 124 Personality: Maple is very kind. She loves all living things and has a thirst for knowledge. Yet, she is also very much a loner. Since she was a little girl, she has enjoyed the company of plants to other humans. She is also very cunning. The weak of mind should be wary around her. Appearance: Maple is not very tall, standing only 5:6. She is very slender and childlike in appearance. Her clothes are often a little stressed, and sometimes dirty from the planting soil she uses. Weapons: None Special Powers: Maple’s magical powers are somewhat limited to plants and shielding spells. She has never been a fighter, instead using her magic for her studies. Pic:“One part sunshine, two parts water and a three parts prayer…” Bio: Maple was always odd. Ever since she was a little girl she cared not for toys or friends or anything a normal child would. At age three, she was able to read fluently. As a result, Maple spent all her time reading books. Her favorites were her father’s textbooks about the magical properties, and cultivation of plants. At age seven, her room looked more like a greenhouse than the room of a young girl. She even called them her “friends.” As detached from her family as she was, her only human friend was her older brother Bartholomew. Ever since she was small, Bartholomew encouraged her odd behavior, even when their parents tried to discourage it. He defended her, claiming that her odd fascination with plants was proof of brilliance, not insanity. When Bartholomew left his family, the feeling of abandonment crushed her. As a result, Maple left home as well, settling down far away from any town or city. Unknowingly she somewhat copied her brother and enchanted some of the forest life, three rabbits, (Hazel, Fiver and Silver) who now serve her faithfully.

Name: Jack Thryper Race: Human Age: 27 Personality: (Insane) Jack has two sides to his personality. Normally, Jack is a friendly, sophisticated man of medicine who uses his gifts to aid the sick. However, lurking just underneath the surface is the psyche of a ruthless murderer, thirsty for pain and blood to satisfy his corrupted sense of justice. Appearance: Jack looks surprisingly young for his age, often being mistaken for a young man just about to enter his twenties. His hair is dark brown and his eyes are emerald green. His clothes are never tattered, and he stands about five foot ten. Weapons: Daggers, scalpels and various knives hidden all over his body. Pic:”Try not to scream. You wouldn’t want to wake anybody now, would you?” Bio: Jackson was the illegitimate son of a lady of the night and one of her many customers. As a child he was brutalized by his mother, and had to endure the lifestyle he had been born into. Despite knowing nothing else since he had been born, Jack despised the endless abuse. Angry thoughts tore his mind apart, and at the young age of ten, he butchered his mother and the man she was servicing, leaving their parts scattered about the small bedroom where his mother engaged in her business. With his knife still dripping with blood, Jack walked out of the building feeling a wave of relief as his newfound freedom sank in. In a few years, he began working for the doctor of a small town. It was from that man he learned medicine and the preservation of human health. And yet, despite this seemingly happy ending, Jack has never been able to stay in one city for long.

Name: Thriftus Hatta Race: Human Age: 27 Personality: (Insane) Thriftus is generally kind and patient, but unfortunately not completely competent. He has trouble remembering anything, and often winds up losing his way. Hallucinations plague his conscious mind and cloud reality for him, making it impossible for him to function as a normal person. It is truly unfortunate considering what a sweet young individual he is. Appearance: Tall, lean, and oddly well-kept considering his disabilities. His clothes are old fashioned and worn from travel, his coat and hat stained with dust. As for his physical features, his hair is golden soft, and his eyes shine greenish yellow. Weapons: Cane Sword Special Powers: None Pic:“I’m only leaving when I’m going.” Bio: Thriftus has no past. Name: Thrifyir Hatta Race: Human Age: 27 Personality: (Insane) Thrifyir is dangerous and unstable. His personality conflicts with itself, unable to decide whether to be angry or happy. The volatile mixture results in a dangerous man who manipulates others and steals without reserve. It’s not obvious though, as he does his best to hide it, but his temper easily gives him away, as he is unable to control himself. Appearance: Tall and a little built, Thrifyir wears odd old fashioned clothing. He keeps himself clean and trim, keeping nothing that shows any sort of wear, save for the half a deck of old playing cards in his right pocket which he keeps, despite the fact it only contains hearts and diamonds. His hair is dark brown and his eyes are dirty green. Weapons: Cane Sword Special Powers: None Pic:“Stealing is merely borrowing with no intention of giving it back.” Bio: Thrifyir has no past beyond the morning he awoke to find himself covered in blood, and surrounded by the mutilated bodies of people he could not remember. After leaving the massacre behind, Thrifyir gathered himself on the road, ditching his clothes and all his possessions, save for the mysterious half deck of playing cards. Unable to pay for anything, Thrifyir took to thieving, and took to traveling, never staying in one place. Though wherever he went, he could not shake the feeling he must find someone, or something.

Ragnar is the kind of person to stand up and leave whatever he is doing. Appearance: Ragnar is quite tall, standing around six foot three, but is very thin.
