► A curious gal with an optimistic personality. Izzy usually puts on a facade because she dislikes showing others her cowardly side. She is considered to be blissfully ignorant and dense, so she doesn't like to over think things too much. Her bad habit of acting on impulse allows her to sometimes overcome her cowardliness. She has the outer appearance of someone who could be considered to be either fearless or stupid, even if deep inside she's scared as the dickens. Her eyes are lively, always looking for mischief. Her number one pet peeve is being bored, or being alone in a enclosed space for too long, which came from most of her childhood. Izzy is not at all shy or an introvert. She is usually honest to anyone she considers to be a friend.

► Isabella was your typical Rapunzel, with no knowledge of the outside world. Her parents often kept Isabella locked up within the house because they were afraid she would be hurt, especially due to the human-eating Titans. She would be that one kid who would attempt to go bungee jumping off the house roof with yarn as the bungee cord. As a child, she had read about what lies beyond her home only in books. As she spent most of her childhood with her face buried in text, her desire to adventure outside would only grow. It wasn't long when she would begin to rebel and sneak out of her room to roam around the neighborhood with her friends. For the first time, she had felt accepted by the outside world when they first gave her a nickname, "Izzy". Her parents eventually found out and placed stricter policies and rules in the household. She wasn't even allowed to go to the bathroom without her mother or housemaid following her in.
The girl lived a typical lifestyle. She constantly argued with her parents about letting her leave her house, saying things like "It's better to be eaten by those monsters than stay holed up in here". This was just one of the many things that came out of her mouth. They were words she would soon regret. It wasn't long until she was separated from her parents during the Titan invasion. Isabella and her parents would be escorted onto a boat which would transport them to a safer area. At the last second when the boat sailed, Isabella jumped off. She waved farewell to her parents before she disappeared. After the situation died down, she found herself without a home. Normally, a child's first instinct would have been to find their parents, but Isabella felt selfish. Even knowing her parents would be worried sick, she entered the military once she made sure her parents evacuated their home safely. She joined not to fight Titans, but to see "what was out there", instead of just reading or hearing about it.
Isabella graduated within the top 10. Her parents only found out that she was alive when she decided to enlist under the Scouting Legion. They begged and pleaded for their daughter to serve the Military Police, where she would have less of a chance of being eaten by a Titan. Izzy severed ties with her own parents, leaving with them only two words: "Be well". She hadn't spoken to them since, but she occasionally observes them from a distance to make sure they're still alive and well. Although she is fighting for humanity, Izzy's true goal is to find her place in society, and life.
