World's End
Worlds end - to some it is the end of the world. To others it is the weakest and strongest border from our universe to all the others. The mountain range is located in north Zakernand and is icy and jagged. A mystical group known as the Unbound guard it, they are the devoted followers of those that believe The End must be protected. Within the halls and corridors there is a hum of magical power, a raw and seemingly untouchable stream of power. The largest of these halls is gigantic and lined with black stone columns surrounded a raised level in the centre. On it - a well. Above, another. Between these two wells from ground to ceiling is the fabric of reality, hanging in the balance. The Unbound have learned to harness its power and have sacrificed much of themselves and their past lives to understand it. Some see the Unbound as a myth, others as people to fear.
During the events of the Darkness of Lucifial, the Greater Demon of Betrayal of the same name succeeded in reaching this monolithic site. He sought to use the fabric of reality to enhance his power - and enhance he did. With the Black Jewel in his possession and the core of World's End at his fingertips he plunged the world of Magic Earth into darkness.
World's End suffered greatly. Most of the Unbound were killed and had their minds re-inserted after being twisted with lies. When Lucifial was defeated by Team Elixer, his soul was almost obliterated. It's unsure how, but Lucifial's soul, or what's left of it, seems to have been locked away in the Black Jewel (now back in the Syndicate's possession).
Now, a handful of the Unbound survive, and beneath them are many students hoping to learn the secrets of World's End in a hope to prevent evil from ever getting inside their ancient walls again.

LAXIOȠ Team Elixer ◥ ♞ ◤ When your soul finds the soul it was waiting for When someone walks into your heart through an open door
◢ ♞ ◣ Alexis scoffed in the face of Ruby's sudden accusation. Ruby turned against Lysandiel all of a sudden and Alexis' nerves were for once being easily broken. She had turned to the angel and the young blonde asked him what he was hiding, asking if he believed in the same as his brother, Zurial. She then finally attempted to threaten the angel, holding to guns up directly at his faceless body. Alexis broke out against Ruby, and like a parent or an angry teacher she retorted "You never analyse anything do you?! Why would he be hiding anything from us?! You don't even have any evidence to go against him!" "Calm down!" Lucas announced, "this is now way for a team to talk to each other, let alone for a well respected member of society to be pointing her guns at her superiors." Lysandiel's hood twitched, he then very strictly stated "If you want me dead it would be a waste of your time. Your bullets may break my armour and my soul may vanish but in time all angels reincarnate." he gave her no time to reply before he then said "You are acting like the very thing my council wishes to decimate and what example do you think you are making for yourself?! From the beginning I've led your kind to safety, to redeem itself in front of my brothers that have given up on your sometimes sightless race. I voted against your destruction, and now I've asked for your aide to stop the Heavens from being tainted by Lucifial. Now, who is mistaken?". There was silence, team elixer had nothing to say, he had left them on a sour note and not even Laxion could think of how to defend Ruby in this instance, he didn't even want tof ace the wrath of Alexis, who was strangely un-calm for the first time he'd ever seen. Zuriel was listening, and the heated debate was something he didn't quite want a part of. He was struck between being the enemy, the High Angel that once began the vote to destroy Magic Earth and remove the bridge between Hell and the mortal plane. Yet now he was the one trapped in a mortal's body, his soul intertwined too closely with Adi'st to want to admit. There was a strange feeling in the air just then too, and Adi may well be able to sense it herself. It was the rippling of an essence all around them, vibrations almost, reverberations that only Angels could sense and largely used to communicate. It came from the skies, it was dull, and barely noticable at first yet for Adi the overwhelming feeling of harmony and purity wouldn't be a blessing, but more of a negative affect as the strange presence got closer and closer. Zuriel couldn't help it, but through her lips he announced " The Sanctum!". For the short moment he took over, the jolt of booming harmonic strings that echoed from her mouth shocked Lysandiel, his hood whipping over his shoulder to look at her in surprise. The skies then bellowed, the great booming sound of thunder echoing accross the skies, the clouds lighting up as if lgihtning was striking on the upper layers where they could not see. It was like a giant monster, moaning, taunting. Something was coming. Lysandiel looked up above him and through the many gaping gaps between the tree canopy of the now thin woods they stood in. A bright light managed to break through the clouds, and from it came a silvery-white essence, as if a thick liquid had been dropped in water. It burst from the gap and sung through the air, shortly followed by a golden-white aura, as wel as another that was light grey. The three auras shot down from the sky and before hitting the mountains and the trees they swooped overhead, rushing past and spiralling for a few moments before suddenly colliding with the earth near them. Each of them landed in separate places, around the group, trapping them in a triangle. Each aura cotninued to pummel down at the ground as the snow around them was thrown away, quickly the aura's condensed into figures that were red hot. As the light subsided,3 hooded figures with great wings over their chests emerged. Their wings unfolded and their hoods were faceless as they each stared at Lysandiel and the others. Lysandiel knew who they were, they were the last 3 members of the Inner Sanctum, the last three High Angels. Injustira was the first, his silver chain hood didn't budge when his gauntleted hand summoned a white spear of light before him. "Injustira" Lysandiel said, and the angel replied "You hide your wings. Are you ashamed? Have you become weak and like them?" with an echoic tone, just as harmonic as Lysandiel's yet sounding younger if it could. Lucas immediately dropped to his knee and bowed in front of Injustira, he knew who it was as soon as the spear was summoned with the syndicate's divine symbol at it's blade's fixing. Alexis suddenly felt a second of agony in her mind as Lysandiel's charm was lifted, she only flinched before the pain was gone but it alerted Laxion right away. Lysandiel's wings were then revealed, streams of light, like tentacles behind him, "We have had to remain low, yet now you have perhaps jeopardised this mission" Lysandiel replied. Then it was the darker of the High Angels that spoke up, wisdom in his tone of voice beyond reckoning as he said "We all know that there is not a demon in this land that could slay the four of us together" "There are more than liekly two greater demons walking this realm and the rest of Hell may follow if we do not hurry" Lysandiel protested, but then the last of the angels spoke up. She was Scentiel, and where Lysandiel may see the 'flesh' the angels had, mortals may only see plates of armour to match their attire, or hoods covering their faces. No mortal may ever see an Angel for what they truly are... that's if they really did have another image at all. Throgh Zuriel's vision, Adi may well be able to see only half of this if she focused enough, but the light would be painful if she dared. Like looking through hazy glass at a bright light she'd barely be able to make out flesh or armour. Scentiel said "Then we shall aide you and your party till the end. The Heavens must be spared at all costs... and your realm with it" ((im so sorry this was long, needed to get this done. A few posts with these guys and then we head into the monastery.)) ◥ ♞ ◤ When your hand finds the hand it was meant to hold ... Don't let go There's a day when all hearts will be broken, when a shadow will cast out the light, And our eyes cry a million tears: help won’t arrive. I may fall, but not like this: it won't be by your hand!

Standing back she watched the altercation between Ruby and the fellow angel with hair-raising worry and panic. Yes the words of the other girl were concerning, but now wasn't the time for such things. Ruby though seemed intent on doing just that however, but Adi was grateful for Alexis' interference. This seemed to calm her down some, or attempt to at least, but this situation was distracting to Adi. It wasn't till then, that the gypsy noted the odd sensation in the air; not unpleasant, but rather causing a feeling of safety and familiarity; seemingly vibrating through the air.
"What..." she breathed confused, but felt Zurial stir inside her, and before she knew it, words not her own were spilling from her lips. It was still an odd sensation for Zurial to speak through her without her knowledge; it had always been a mutual action, her mind knowing what he wanted to say.
But further thoughts around that were lost as the sky above them burst apart in light and sound, the canopy of the forest around them giving way to something. She knew...yet didn't know at the same time, but soon found two other angels before them; a male and female by appearances. Adi was too thunderstruck to say anything while she stared right along with everyone else. One would think she'd be used to seeing angels at this point, specially with one inside her mingling with her soul, but still it was all so strange.
The wing comment to Lysandiel made her feel slightly self conscious about her own wings...their wings since she hid them away when she didn't need them. Adjusting her wet and muddy feet, Adi stared into the deep hoods and found she could see something there, outlines...silhouettes perhaps but it took focus and concentration and eventually oddly hurt her head so she stopped focusing so bad.
Their declaration of assistance surprised Adi for some reason, she was just expecting lower ranking angel volunteering like back in the city of Crows, but no...this higher ranking angels were here as well.
"Thank you..." she breathed out before Adi knew she was even saying it. "We will take all the help we can get, but you're assistance is greatly appreciated and will surely help...Injustria...Scentiel."

Ruby
In Ruby's arrogance, she never expected Alexis to scold her so loudly. If Ruby had a mother to look up to, Alexis would definitely be the closest thing to him considering her age. Claudia was shocked to watch Ruby cause a riot that she couldn't control so of course she was glad Alexis was there to handle the child. Obviously, the archer had a lot to learn about her about her sister's unpredictable mood swings. She was no where near the level of motherhood to calm down an adolescent teen. Once Alexis had deterred her, Ruby realized how pretentious she was acting since there really was no evidence. Like always, Ruby did as her gut told her instead of using common sense, although this process is reversed during combat. Lucas was obligated to commence peace between the two and insisted that she should compose herself in order to be a functional member. Shamefully, she lowered her weapons and pocketed them while Lysandiel educated her. Basically, her bullets were useless to kill him, yet she could damage his armor and even destroy his soul. However, in time he would reincarnate so there would be no point in killing him. Before she could apologize, the angel told her that this ignorance is exactly what the other angels are against. From the beginning, he been leading the group to salvation and proving to the hierarchy that the humans are redeemable. Lysandiel wishes for her to live, in fact he is probably pleading to the angels to spare her life, and how does she repay him? Truly, she is the scum the planet needs to be rid of. Hanging her head, she took a vow of silence wondering how she could be forgiven before the end.
Suddenly, Zuriel appeared after some time of solidarity confinement and blurted out the presence of the Sanctum. Lysandiel immediately turned away from Ruby and faced the skies hearing the vibrations inaudible to humans. The skies wrath was upon them and it roared like the raging seas as if it were trying to communicate with the earthlings. Eye burning light pierced the grey clouds, and a glop of thick white liquid accumulated above them. Claudia and Ruby shielded their eyes with one hand shading above their brows. The liquid didn't drip down from the sky like a glop of paint would on a canvas which Ruby thought was going to happen. No, it zipped through the atmosphere like a comet followed by two other comets. The comets transcended while dancing around before impacted the earth causing three enormous tremors. Surrounding and trapping them, each aura soon compacted and within the light a figure stood. To Ruby's surprised, the celestial beings turned out to be Lysandiel's pact and she could have sworn they were there for her head.
Unfolding their beautiful wings, Injustira, the one angel that Ruby had heard about since Lucas practically worships him, summoned a mystical spear with his huge gauntlet. His chain mail hood that concealed his face made no noise as Lysandiel addressed him and he response with a condescending comment. Ruby would have defended him, but she had already embarrassed herself enough and disgraced Lysandiel. Ruby turned when she heard a body collapse to the muddy ground behind her and saw Lucas bowing before Insjustira. He was so devoted to the angel that he was willing to dirty his pure white robes. Alexis was then alerted by the state Injustira made and broke the seal on Lysandiel's wings so their brilliance could shine. Now that they weren't inconspicuous anymore, according to Lysandiel, the dark angel was pretty confident in their abilities to exterminate any demon. Although, Lysandiel mentioned their are two demons plus the Hell spawn which put them at a disadvantage. And yet, luck was on their said because the armored angel with a feminine voice declared that they would help. Ruby's jaw dropped and Adi thanked them for their kindness. There was no way they could lose to Lucifial now, right?

The party was thankful, particularly Adi who noted their names to show her appreciation. Now Zuriel was silent, and he showed no intentions of showing himself in front of the others. Vigour's only fear was that Lysandiel may well expose him at any moment to his brethren. The shame in being locked with the soul of a human was more than distasteful. "You're kind does not appreciate enough" Injustira replied, then noticing Lucas who was still knelt on the ground at the aspect of Justice. Injustira's reverberating voice was still something Lucas was getting used to, and the High Angel asked "I would be as bold as to presume you are something to do with the leftovers of the Order". Lucas nodded, "Yes, My Angel, I am the heir to the Injustira Syndicate..." "It is not what is used to be" Injustira said, some sorrow and some disinterest in his voice. "We have no time to quarrel over such loose ends, Injustira. The world has changed and so it must to adapt." Mesraphael stood deathly still, like an old statue in the middle of a graveyard. Alexis couldn't take her eye off him, he was so much darker than the rest of them. What was he? The Aspect of Reason, she could recall reading what little they knew of him in the libraries of Merlin Academy. He was supposed to be the greatest being of knowledge known to live. Reason then spoke up, "It would be wise to attack quicker rather than sooner. Lucifial does not plan for fast schemes." "And it would appear he has a remnant of the Omnijewel." Injustira said, "Do you feel it?" he turned to Scentiel, who nodded. Nyru was having a difficult time being around them, leaning over so slightly on Laxion's side, "are you okay?" he asked, "I don't know" he said quietly back. "I feel as though i could cry... but I do not know if im sad or angry... or happy...". Lysandiel heard and instantly worried for the mortal's well-beings. Lysandiel looked around briefly and said "Being surrounded by our presence is not good for the mortal mind. Your emotions will be amplified and it may well be difficult for you to keep a clear head without breaking out in terror or becoming blissfully unaware of your surroundings." "Then we go" Alexis said. Lysandiel nodded and replied "I will come with you". Scentiel then softly added "We will defend the entrances" as she summoned her own spear, it was draped in white and gold ribbons. Mesraphael slowly hovered over to place with Scentiel, whilst Injustira said "I must leave. The Omnijewel's presence, it's dangerously active south east from here. I fear it is being used at Hell's Gate.
With that, each of them had their last words against or for each other as the party regrouped and began to make their way up the snowy path. As the demons finally found them, and attempted to follow, Scentiel would swoop through them, cutting through them or impaling them on her spear of light. Mesraphael was quick to react, barely moving whenever a demon got too close. In clean movements he would dodge attacks and then use it against them, often lettingt he demons kill each other. Other times Mesraphael would clasp a hold of a demon's head, and eventually it would die as its mind sizzled. Scentiel, at long range, would slash her spear and let loose a torrent of ribbon, much like steel that ripped through the earth until it hit it's enemy. More angels would come in time. Injustira meanwhile made way for Bloodholme with a small army of Angels of Justice.
((time for Lucifial))

Injustira's comment made her bristle; eyes narrowing and her youthful and pretty features marred by the frown now gracing Adi's lips. Honey brown eyes growing a bit harder and darker as she glowered at the angel. Perhaps the angel wasn't all wrong, but neither was he right...there were plenty that appreciated many things. Adi wanted to snap at him stating that they would apprechiate more if the angels actually did more then abandon them after the war...but scobbling now wasn't needed.
But the interesting part of it all...was that they didn't know. They didn't know that Zuriel lay inside her. At first Adi had thought when they mentioned the number of angels she had been included. But another angel spoke up that she hadn't noticed initally. Staring at him now...she knew exactly who he was without a doubt or hesitation.
Mesraphael...if the agnel's were mysterious before...this angel took it to a knew level of mysterious and Adi couldn't help but stare. Lost in thoughts that were both her own and knowledge Zuriel possessed and her in turn, it wasn't till she heard Nyru ask how Laxion was doing, his reply different. And she was learning something else about the angels,, but with Zuriel there intertwined with her soul...she didn't the influx of increased emotions. Shaking her head, now was not the time to be thinking of pointless things...now was the time to be thinking of battle and the things she had learned from Zuriel and Dorian.
Dorian having remained quiet through the whole thing just looked on in indifference. But the march to battle was on, as the angel's took to the sky, he shed his mortal cacoon and become the part animal part human creature beneath; letting out a sigh of relief.
Adi herself didn't flinch at the sight like she had in time before, even when it was so close she could feel the caress of his feathers on her arm. Rather she was wondering herself when she could let loose on the demons with the power of the angels and the power gifted to her by the Prince of Crows.
"Zuriel..." she thought to him. "...eventually they will know, we can't prevent it. Its better now then later...but I won't do anything without your permission."
Adi was not about to out the angel had had saved her life and kept her safe through this whole adventure of a life time...an adventure she was still struggling to work through.

Ruby
Adi's generosity along with Lucas was received, but not returned since all of them didn't rejoice. Claudia was so intrigued by the angel's compassion that she thanked them silently through nodding gestures. Ruby however, wasn't sure how to feel and wasn't eager to ask for redemption for her accusations from earlier. She had caused enough anguish and fury, yet there wasn't time to undo her mistakes because a simple sorry wouldn't suffice. Lucas remained bowing until he felt like Injustira is satisfied. They discussed the the Order and Lucas's countless dedication to his birthright, although Injustira was saddened by the change. She couldn't see his face, but hearing the sorrow in his voice made her heart sink. Mesraphael, the darkest angel, insisted that they shouldn't delay any further and adaptions were necessary for humans to carry on. He sounded like humans were so hopeless no matter how hard they fight. Or at least, that's how Ruby interpreted his comment. For some reason, Alexis couldn't take her eyes off the perplexing angel and she didn't blame her. Mesraphael stood out from the others and she sympathized with him the most experiencing alienation herself.
Mesraphael gave them advice that Luficial can't handle quick attacks and judging how everything is slowly dragging out it must be true. Afterwards, a new bit of information is revealed and now they know that Lucifial possess a jewel. It had to be the Black Jewel because who else would take it in order to cause this amount of chaos. Ruby immediately put her hand to her chest as if her heart has skipped a beat and wondered if Alexis felt the sensation too. Meanwhile, Claudia worried over Nyru and Laxion as the elemental felt emotionally energetic which transcended into an overwhelming state to the angel's essences. Lysandiel even explained clearly that humans are fragile to an angel's presences so it was best for them to move along as Alexis suggested.
Lysandiel decided to stay with their company while the other angels, Scentiel and Mesraphael vowed to guard the entrances. The female angel summoned her enchanting spear and the two hovered into the skies while Injustira announced his whereabouts. He said that he could sense the Omnijewel being used to open Hell's Gate which is the last thing everyone wanted to here. Now that had to hurry and as they strolled along demons found them. Scentiel and Mesraphael flew above, the female was highly skilled her spear and hacked through the hoard effortlessly. The dark angel was able to grab demons by their heads and fry their brains or what was left of their poisoned minds. Hiking through the snow, Ruby caught up to Alexis looking to her for guidance like she always had while Claudia placed a motherly hand on the two boy's shoulders. She even looked back at Adi to sure she was okay hoping she could provide positive support. (Awesome!)

LAXIOȠ Team Elixer ◥ ♞ ◤ When your soul finds the soul it was waiting for When someone walks into your heart through an open door
◢ ♞ ◣
Reaching the pinnacle of the unfathomable slopes, paths and steps leading to the entrance of the monastery of World's End was an achievement in itself. Along the way, it was eerily simple to get to the front gates. Nothing had tried to stop them on the way, no monster had attempted to throw them over the edge, all that stopped them was heavy snow that refused to stop falling. Alexis was observing the snow across the ground, no one had been walking here recently at all, it was all fresh snow and without footprints. That was all except for two spots closer towards teh doorway, and she noticed how snow would not settle near it. Her heart began to beat fast, "somethings there" she advised, pointings at the two spots of the ground where the stone brick below was exposed. The others all clutched their weapons until suddenly two figures revealed themselves. One was old and robed,t he othe much younger and in exactly the same dull brown robes with rings and fabric hanging from them. The two were known as Maric and Olgen, the last and only two to have escaped Lucifial. "stop!" an elderly Oglen pleaded, "We are the last Unbound" (turns out i've called them Ascended in the thread and the plot advancement. a quick little vote? Unbound or Ascended?)). Maric had his arms around Oglen, as if to be keeping his grandfather safe, Maric said "He would not leave until you arrived" "I needed to tell you..." Oglen breathed, "Please... I don't know if what that wretched fiend has done to my brothers is irreversible... and I dread to believe that it is. And if so... take no hesitation in giving them rest." "The Edge of the World is where you'll find him" Maric added, then noticing the either grotesque or impressive Dorian in his demonic form. He wasn't sure which category it fell under yet. After eye-balling him for some seconds the sheepish young man said "Whatever it is that you can do, find him in the centre of the monastery and trap his soul, or he'll rise again". Lysandiel was impressed, he said "Your dangerous teachings have served you well in knowledge... We will purge this cursed place for you and bring redemption.". Oglen chuckled as if he could laugh in such circumstances, he said "Never have I expected to find myself in the presence of a High Angel, or see almost all of them walk our lands. Hope, i feel, is already at hand..."
Some time after, Oglen and Maric unlocked the front gates, they had been sealed behind powerful Unbound magic to stop any demons from spilling from it, or any getting in. They knew it did not matter much, but at least it would keep the paths clearer for their heroes to arrive. Once inside, the corridors were storeys high and unfathomably long. Large halls came from each doorway, some others long staircases. Statues lined many alcoves in the walls too. It felt truly horrific, too. All the braziers that were burning, burned a dull blue, where the ember was as black as night. "He must know we are here, I sense his mind watching us, like bugs in his own prison" Lysandiel said quietly, his wings illuminating the halls. "It's much less like a prison if you accept the shadows..." Nyru murmured in his own thought.

Zuriel did not answer as they climbed the snow covered stairs; the chill in the air freezing the wetness and muddy matter on her dress. Only to make it worse was the fact that the snow clung to the wet fabric like a magnet itself. Sodden boots become frigidly cold, but they kept moving in a hurried fashion, like the untouched steps, the demons around them left them untouched. Zuriel's silence telling that the time wasn't right...and in her gut she had to agree.
If Adi let herself loose on the demons now, an element of surprise would be lost. Not to mention such a discovering could very well distract the angels in the air above them...distract them from their goal which again was not a good thing. No...she had to wait, because if Lucifial knew 'who' she was...'what' she was in relation to the prophecy which everyone had a suspicion she was a key part of undoing. That element of surprise was needed.
Now was not the time to show off...now was the time to play it smart. Like Dorian he often played life as if it was a chess game, like his master, so Adi took a trick from his book and had a heavy leash on the angelic power laying dormant within her.
Reaching the top of the stairs now, her breath slightly labored and coming out in small buffs of silvery clouds they found a pair of robed people there. Soon discovering that they were the last of the Unbound; father and son. The father desperate to warn and peg that his people may not be save able and to give them their final peaceful rest if not. Every race, every group of people were at risk Adi came to recognize...it was so much bigger then their group when so focused on a single task and enemy, the end goal was lost. She had been wallowing in self doubt and grief, ignoring or not acknowledging that there was more at risk then simply her life or the lives of her companions.
She would wallow no more...there would be time for that later...and if she died then she died for something important. Something her people would be proud of, though they would never know.
Stepping forward, Adi had a determined but compassionate expression on her face. "You have our word that we will do our best to save your people, but if we can not you can assure I personally will give them a peaceful final rest."
Rushing inside of the unlocked gates, they stared out ready for something...anything. Lysandiel's words that drove a shiver down her spine, he was watching them...and as creepy as it was, it was not in the least surprising.
Adi scowled into the darkened and empty halls. "He knows we're here...the element of surprise isn't in our favor as we would have liked. But let's save our tricks for when we meet him personally."
Dorian smirked at the clear change in the gypsy woman; more calculating, more determined and the ruminating self doubts gone. "She isn't wrong...lets be sure to save the fun when we finally reach him...shall we push one then?" he droned out ruffling his feathers in eagerness.
OOC: Unbound is my vote...more mysterious

Ruby
Nearing the lone monastery, Ruby remained cautious even those there were no obstacles to stop them. The compacted snow on the path was hard enough to get through as it was and she couldn't believe how inviting Luficial has been. While hopping over mounds of snow, Ruby was stunned to heard Alexis sense something after this whole time. She stood still, knee deep in the icy coverage, and looked to the exposed stone bring by the front gate. Claudia summoned her shadowy bow while the albino gripped her guns hastily seeing the two figures jet out. An older man accompanied by a young man, they looked of relation, flung their robbed selves at them. The elder pleaded for them to restrain from violence as the younger male assisted him. Maric explained that his grandfather refused to leave regardless of the danger, especially next to Luficial's domain. Leasing their weapons, they listened to the elder's request. Luficial had defiled his bothers and if the affects aren't reversible then the burden is on the group to end them. Ruby's eyes widened with sadness because she didn't think she could bring herself to kill innocent Unbound.
Maric metaphorically told them where to find the demon before silencing himself to get a eyeful of Dorian. He then explained that unless they wanted Luficial to arise again, incarcerating his soul is the only way to ensure peace. Lysandiel appreciated the intense circumstances of his knowledge and promised to purge Magic Earth of evil. The old man laughed though these dark times because he found it amazing that angels would actually grace them with their presence. After the encounter, the two granted them access by unlocking a seal on the gates. Demon's wouldn't be able to interfere so it was just them against the Lord of Deception.
Inside the decor felt just like the Land of Crows Black Palace and Claudia ironically felt conformable. There were many corridors with tall arches and winding staircases. Statures lined the halls and the black candle wicks burned a hazy blue enchanting Claudia. Lysandiel's wings provided the prefect amount of light to navigate through this fortresses and Ruby sort of inched herself close to him. She knew what he meant because she could feel that sensation as well while Claudia accepted the dark aura. Nyru said that if they accepted the shadows it wasn't as intimating which Claudia agreed too. However, they were shadowmancers and were use to ominous locations. (Unbound is good with me)

LAXIOȠ Team Elixer ◥ ♞ ◤ When your soul finds the soul it was waiting for When someone walks into your heart through an open door
◢ ♞ ◣
((I hope your characters are prepared for the horrors which they are about to be faced with))
It was some time before Lysandiel began to wonder what it was that Lucifial must have up his sleeve. Counting his steps since they entered he could have guessed something closer to a thousand. The thought was enough to make his ethereal legs ache, something which he would never truly understand as an angel. As they traversed the corridors there were no ambush', no dead... there was just silence and darkness around each corner - emptiness that made them question why they were here. Laxion felt the air playing tricks on him which each turning too, he'd swear he'd see things in the corner of his eye, hazy figures would attempt to make him jump from his skin, sometimes he may even flinch, believing he had heard the scream of a young woman. But he kept himself well prepared, he kept a tight grip on his spear and did his best to look strong and capable in the face of the fears possessing him. They came across a large circular room, above and below them was either a drop or a very high ceiling. Around them was a spiral staircase that clasped onto the walls. The staircase was only wide enough for about two people at a time and between the circular stairs were the drop that lead down to an abyss. "An illusion" Alexis mumbled, gradually looking over the ledge, "It's not as far down as it seems...". Alexis could feel everything too, Lucifial's energy was a disturbance to the equilibrium meant to be in place in this monastery. She always felt like she was being watched, and having not been stopped so far was making her bones feel cold and bitter. Something had to be on the way. Lucas stepped forward after Alexis and looked over the ledge, the staircase only went down and he gathered that was how they were going to get to where Lucifial is. "I'll light the way" he announced, taking his hand from his weapon's hilt and carefully summoning the light from the Purevelion Blade. It was a small orb of light that was as bright as Lysandiel's wings, the angel stared carefully as if to be analysing the blade whilst Lucas lightly dropped the orb over the ledge. It floated down like a feather, and at first it lit up the walls, showing all the crevices, each dusty crack and even the odd rat or two that squeaked and ran from the light along the steps. Alexis watched intently, hoping that it would light the way. But when it reached the bottom the light was swallowed and Lucas was suddenly filled with fear. "It- It's gone" he stuttered, the light of the Purevelion Blade has never been snuffed out before. There was suddenly a loud collision heard from way back int he corridor that they came from, as if a giant door had been slammed shut! Alexis and the others tossed their sights back at the blackness behind them, and suddenly the darkness below seemed less daunting and more like an inviting escape. "Run!!!!" Lysandiel bellowed, signalling for them all to run down the staircase if they wished to live. This was no fighting environment for any of them, and so running was all that they could do.
Following Lysandiel each step couldn't have been passed quicker, but slowly the darkness was swallowing them up and it soon became difficult to even see Lysandiel's wings glowing not two feet from them. That was when another sound echoed from high above them at the beginning of the staircase. This time it was of chains and shackles being dragged across the ground until colliding with the walls of the stairs. They all looked up, seeing a figure in tattered brown robes, blood staining much of it and chains hanging from every limb. They stood still... maybe it would leave if they kept quiet enough. Seconds passed like days, the man... creature... whatever it is, it stared down at them too as they returned the gaze. Then it began to run, it pushed itself from the wall and was darting down the stairs again, chains dragging behind it and the obvious sound of groaning coming with each agonising step that it took, but it came with speed. Laxion was filled with overwhelming fear, he wasn't sure if it was Lucifial's grip on this place or not, but he certainly knew he wanted to be anywhere but here! That was when Lucas bumped into the orb he had dropped earlier, and it lit up, allowing them to see the doorway out of this room. With haste he threw himself at the door to thrust it open. The hinges almost flew off when the door collided with the wall on the other side as everyone flooded through. The next room was that of a hall, it was relatively large with had dusty rugs laid out across the stone floor. Each corner had a single large column. The light was enough to be fully aware of this room and dotted about the room was several piles of cloth. Lucas looked back with great unease at the door as the sound of scraping and shaking metal reached the other side of the door. But it was eerie - the shackles and chains never hit the door, whatever it was on the other side simply stopped. Laxion looked to Ruby, and Nyru stared to Adi as Lucas exchanged a glare with Lysandiel and Claudia. Alexis even sheepishly looked at Dorian, half making sure he was still with them but also just looking for someone, anyone to share in this fear. Yet he was probably the only one of them whom didn't share in this.
Lysandiel was looking over the room, and something was not right. He stepped out some feet from the others and slowly took in his surroundings. Those cloth piles seemed too... shaped. He got closer, and much to his horror, if he knew what such a thing was, he had found a body. "Stay away from the piles!!!" he ordered, looking more closely at the one he had observed. Inside it's hood he saw that of an old withered face, sunken features and black holes for eyes. The skin was a ghastly dark, dehydrated colour. "They are dead!" he called back once more, but just then the door was struck with monumental force. It shook and the hinges rattled, screaming came from behind it and chains scraped across all surfaces for some time before finally it broke through and the door flew off the wall and splintered across the ground with dust and debris. Nyru readied his blade ans swung it in front of him several times until a robed man, covered in blood and chained to his limbs revealed himself, he was screaming "YOU MUST LEAVE, HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU PLEASE HE HAS KILLED MY BROTHERS... AND NOW HE WANTS ME - HE WANTS US ALL HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE -" and that was when it saw all the bodies. Horror wiped across the man's face and his body began to shake, he was repeating to himself "no", holding his head and telling himself "stay away" until he couldn't bare it any more. His arms flung back, his chest threw itself forwards and his back arched as his head looked up at the ceiling. The sound of cracking bones and ripping muscles filled their ears as his voice box broke and screams turns to groans. His skin aged fifty years and from his gaping mouth came a silvery aura. It too was now groaning, taking the shape of the man's face and growing arms as the aura was pulled above the standing body. It then cried for help, its arms trying to grab the air but it was turning a horrid shade of black as it was sucked into the man's head, leaving his eyes as black sockets. It then stared at them, and Lysandiel was too surprised and distracted to notice the now standing bodies all around him. The deceased had risen in their robes, and each of them were holding swords, maces, flails and more. They were greatly outnumbered, and these undead had been brainwashed, they almost believed that they were still alive and that the team were the betrayers.
These were the Unbound. Those that had died just days ago, those that had their souls ripped from their flesh and rewritten before being implanted back into their minds to be ordered like fools to believe lies fed by Lucifial. These were the men that had the most powerful minds in Magic Earth, and these were the men that would not die easily.
((Let the battle commence ;D P.S. These are almost like cannon fodder... but... that would not be completely true. You see... they're actually pretty tough,a nd very organised, and won't die easily. Good luck ;D))
P.s... im kinda proud of this post :3

Light behind my dead eyes I keep you living in your own lie, ever deceitful and ever unfaithful ..................Keep you guessin, keep you terrified Take everything from you world..........Say can you help me right before the fall. ◑_________Ðѻriąη_________◐
..........Take what I can and leave you to the wolves Keep you dumb, keep you paralyzed Why try swimming? You're drowning in fables............... It's oh-so playful when I demonize...To spit out the hateful, I'm willing and able
So pushing on they did...down the endless dark corridors with endless possibilities of something occurring. The unknown, the uncertainty of what happened next causing any normal person to wonder and waver. It was no surprise that one or two of their group found this tactic troubling. Dorian glanced at the jumpy elemental, filing this bit of information away for later use. Familiar with such tricks, they did not bother him. Once or twice Dorian noted that Adi's more determined eyes wander toward a shadow, but she was not jumpy, more like confirming if the shapeless shadow was a threat or a figment of nightmares. This continuing to occur as they traveled down more corridors with no living or dead creature in sight; not a breath of life aside from themselves. It was certainly threatening, more so with Lucifial's clear overwhelming presence pressing down on them. Only seemed to get worse as they made it to the strange pit of darkness and threatening spiral staircase. "Couldn't make anything easy could they..." noting the stair way could only fit the wide of two people and no railing aside the wall to keep from slipping off. There was no time to enjoy his snide comment when the doors they had come into slammed shut; heard loudly even this far away. Lysandiel quick to tell them to run and none argued taking the stairs, at least those that needed to. Dorian didn't least not fully, his wings did wonders to descend into the darkness that did not bother him all the while keeping a hint of a sight of the glowing angel. First to reach the floor, he wasn't the first to step forward however, Lysandiel did that. The rest of the group hesitating and staying back while eyeing the stairs they had just come down. Adi herself stationed at their rear facing the stairs and the robbed figure above them. Though her eyes never left the figure she heard Lysandiel's warning, but the rattle of chains and the cry of the man...the unbound drew her attention for a moment. All of them Unbound...twisted and tortured in unknown ways; their mind snuffed out by the dark creature from Hell. "Looks like things are getting interesting now..." Dorian smirked extending his talons backing up closer to the group creating a bit of a circle to protect all their backs. Adi scowled at him. "Not the time Dorian..." "Its always the time gypsy. Let us take to the air and see how well these things can dodge." Needing no further invitation, Adi mentally whispered an apology to Zuriel. If she was to purely use the powers gifted to her from the Prince, then it would hurt him more then herself. There was no way around it however, so her wings came into existence not in a flash of light like normal, but crackle of static and shattering rocks. Feathers of purest black that one could barely see them against the dark backdrop of the room they were in, but if one looked close enough one would. Dorian an Adi both took to the air, the magic user calling up fire in his hands and the gypsy herself conjuring a bow up of darkness and the arrow she aimed at the descending figure letting it loose with a 'twang' of the bow string. "Didn't know you were an archer gypsy?" commented Dorian. "I'm not...I however learned to hunt at an early age and have decent aim."OCC: yayness let the fun begin! Words are weapons you should be terrified...You're nothing in my world ..............Say can I help you right before the fall Take what I can and leave you to the wolves...... ◑__________________●__________________◐ Words are weapons All I really want is something beautiful to say Keep you guess'in, keep you terrified All I really want is something beautiful to say.....I keep you livin' in your own lie All I really want is something beautiful to say..... Ruby
The group endured through the dark, paranoia-inducing halls for miles or what seemed like forever. Similar on their way to the monastery, all demons, Scarred, and Unbound have yet to be seen. Lucifical must have been waiting for them to lose hope on the path of emptiness and then spring a move when they are most venerable. Looking back at the others, Ruby noticed Laxion somewhat hallucinating because the drafty corridor was getting to him. Claudia homed in on small crevices through out the walls seeing that aging had already taken its toll. The blonde stayed close to her partner and once in a while tapped on his shoulder to point out what could only be seen by shadowmancers. Entering a circular room, Ruby became fascinated with the abyss and leaned over to get a closer look. A spiraling staircase winded both up and down leading to who knows where, yet it's only constructed for two people are a time. Amazingly, Alexis's knowledge came in handy since she pointed out that the abyss was an illusion. Probably another trap conjured up by Lucifical to lead them all into one direction before cornering them. Cold air ventilated from the abyss which made Ruby step back and embrace herself. Lucas decided to come forward and light the way with his Purevelion Blade, and it was a bright warm light indeed. Guiding the orb with his sword, the light transcended down revealing the forgotten architecture that now belonged to the rats. Nearing the bottom, the light was suddenly absorbed by some unknown force causing everyone to gasp.
Lucas was stunned by this occurrence and so was Ruby since she got to experience the light's power first hand when she fought her instructor. At that same moment, commotion echoed down the corridor they just came from and was heading for them. Lysandiel advised them to flee down the stairs knowing that fighting in the exposed flooring area was useless, unless one of them wanted to fall to their death. The thick darkness concealed the illumination of Lysandiel's wings, but that wasn't the most daunting issue. Up above, the scraping of rusty shackles impacting the moist walls apprehended everyone attention. Glancing back, they stopped dead in their tracks as a tattered brown robbed figure approached. The blood chains dragging behind left red streaks on the staircase and filled the musty space with the smell of iron. Fear had paralyzed them as the figure ran down the stairs and the chains that skimmed along the walls began to rip apart the stone like it was paper. Miraculously, Lucas happened to bump into the orb he had sent down. It lit back up to reveal a door that he threw open letting them all pile in. Shutting it afterwards, the group found themselves at the beginning of a large hallway lined with embroidered matted rugs. Columns supported each corner and all around were mysterious lumps of cloth placed randomly. "Is this the storage closet?" Ruby questioned. Nervously looking to the door, the figure had suddenly halted and didn't even attempt to knock down the door. Everyone exchanged looks waiting for the enviable.
Lysandiel bravely inched forward to explain the strange lumps of fabric only to confirm that they are withered corpses. He ordered them to stay back, but was interrupted when the screaming figure struck the door. The hinges could barely hold and with a few more lashes the door broke off. The door hit the dusty floor and ended up in shambles. Nyru flawlessly glided his sword and cut off the figures clothing to reveal whom he really is. The man began to ramble saying how they'll never escape Lucifial and that his brothers were slaughtered. However, when he saw the corpses he panicked and an apparition began to cloud his already poisoned mind. He pleaded for salvation as his body arched back and the sound of crunching bone and tearing ligaments filled the hall. A silver essence taking the space of a person spewed out of mouth, but was sucked back in quickly. The man's was left with black sockets instead of eyes and his skin was the consistency of the corpses. By now, the corpses had resurrected baring an incredible arsenal and completely brainwashed so convincing to come to their senses would be pointless.
Backing up into a circle, Dorian and Adi took to the skies raining fire and arrows down below. Claudia didn't hesitate to summon her bow and fire at any openings she could find, but most missed. Ruby found long range ineffective and went right for her swords jumping into the fray. Both swords clashed with two Unbound on each side as a third was ready to bring down a mallet onto her skull.

LAXIOȠ Team Elixer ◥ ♞ ◤ When your soul finds the soul it was waiting for When someone walks into your heart through an open door
◢ ♞ ◣
The atmosphere of the room changed significantly with the turn of events unfolding around them. The piles of cloth were none other than the dead bodies of the Unbound, and the monster chasing them down the staircase was probably the last Unbound alive aside from the two that greeted them outside of this hellish place. But when they had all risen to fight against them, Alexis felt something in her heart that was not right. They all saw how these people must've been changed... she had witnessed the soul of a living, breathing person being ripped from flesh. She saw how it tried to escape... how it moaned... how it tried to claw its way back but in the end it was shoved back inside without ever remembering the truth. "This is cruel" Alexis said to herself, spinning her scythe a few times to let the blade unfold. Adi and Dorian then took to the air of the large room, they began to defend themselves and the others from above whilst everyone else attacked from the ground. Lucas threw his light from the Purevelion Blade and it struck one of the Unbound, causing it to be stunned and bound in place by the purest light. In an instant, Lucas was at the Unbound and had buried his blade deep in it's chest. The light of his blade and Lucas were connected, where it is, he would be too. He then pulled his blade from the twisted creature and spun the body, before it could fall he struck it once more and the light burst letting loose a wave of light that struck several others behind it. Laxion had watched this from the other side of the room, and to his horror the first Unbound that Lucas had attacked stumbled up to it's feet again before suddenly, very quickly, swinging it's gigantic sword. Lucas brought up his own to block the attack and the two were face-to-face. Laxion spun his spear above him and gathered the air around him, he let loose the torrent and forces the creatures nearby to fall down or atleast be pushed away. Jumping and diving his brought down his spear on the chest of one of them. He pulled it from the body and swung behind him to keep the others at bay. "Laxion!" Alexis called, the first creature was standing again and was about ready to strike him, but Alexis let loose a dozen arcane orbs that grabbed the creature and suspended it high by its limbs. With one swing, an arcane blade struck the suspended creature and let it fall to the ground. Nyru punched one of them in the cheek as it flinched. It then stared at him with no eyes and began to groan, as if it was attempting to swallow him hole. Scowling, Nyru's circlet unfolded into it's helmet form and he brought his sword up through the creature's chin and up through it's head. It's skull cracked, and with a twist of his blade the body fell limp without retaliation. Nyru felt something strange just then, and had to pulled his sword free before backing away when the soul of the Unbound was released. The body was almost pulled off the ground as the black sound claws its way from from it's prison, as it got further from it's cage it became greyer and less black until finally, with a terrifying screech it exploded, releasing the smallest of sonic booms. Alexis observed, and shouted "There heads!!!! Destroy their minds!!!". She then proceeded to behead one of them that came at her, and as its head rolled to the floor she swung her scythe's blade tip right down into it as it smashed and released it's soul in a similar fashion as before. Lysandiel had summoned his blade of light, and each Unbound that came at him was easily thrown aside yet not destroyed, the demonic power in them made them resilient and very difficult to actually kill... unless you knew their soft spot - as Nyru had divulged. But this didn't always make it easier, Nyru swung his blade several times next but the creatures kept bending and twisting as to dodge each attack. He had enough when he let his snake-sword collapse, and with the shadow magic he knew well he let the blades spiral around him like a blade storm with purple lightning trailing behind it until each one was shredded, he then delivered one segment of his blade to each of the few that were surrounding him, right in their heads. When their souls released, he fell to one knee in brief exhaustion that he was sure to get over in just a minute or two. Lucas leaned back and dodged a flail that almost smashed his own skull like pottery. He then ducked to dodge the next swing, but the next he could not dodge and it hit him right in the gut, throwing him aside. Holding up his blade he sent a powerful shot of light from it's tip that threw the Unbound body flying back into the wall, high up near the ceiling. Once the wall cracked and shook, the body began to fall. Having stabbed one in the skull, Laxion had his spear buried in the stone beneath him, black trickling all across it after his blow to this Unbound. IT made him cringe knowing that these were living and very wise men just days prior... He then heard something move behind him, and then in front and around him, he had no time to attack and so let his spear tip shoot from the ceiling. "Uft", Laxion let out, as the chain suddenly pulled him sky-high and away from danger for now.
(i had so much battle writing i had to get out of me, that felt good)

The battle waged, first of many undoubtedly, but it was proving to be a difficult one all the same. Her arrows and weapons against the cursed Unbound didn't work as effectively as they all hoped. Adi was hoping she did not need to bring out her own light for it to make a difference. Fortunately Nyru discovered the weakness of these poor creatures early on.
"Heads it is then..." Dorian droned and with flames in his hand struck an Unbound who's back was turned and his head burst into flames. Burning so hot and bright that it even rendered bone to ashes in a matter of moments. "Easy enough."
Adi scowled at the half demon man but said nothing as she struck down an Unbound that was stalking one of her friends while they were busy with another. The arrow of dark matter went right through the head and the Unbound fell to the floor with a loud thump. It was why she was up this eye, to watch Nyru and the other's back. Course her back too was exposed as she stared into the mass of fighting of Unbound and warriors. Adi herself didn't notice the Unbound climbing the stairs and leaping at her till she felt his weight on her back and side; a painful hold on one of her black wings.
"Ahh..." she cried out in anger and pain. Rather then tumbling down from the sky, the gypsy flew higher, using her hands to attempt to pull the creature off of her. A flash of medal and she saw the dagger coming down toward her throat and chest. With a single hand she held the dagger at pay, but it took a great amount of effort on her part. Adi needed to think of something fast...and fast she did. A thrust of her wings and the Unbound was slammed against the wall. Rattling the creature enough that he dropped the dagger and his grip loosened. Their roles reversed it was now the gypsy that had the Unbound at her mercy and she knew just what to do with him. Wings stopping, gravity came into play and the began to drop, she even used to her wings to gain speed.
"MOVE!" she yelled out to those at the bottom fighting.
Moments before striking the stone floor, Adi put a boot to the Unbound's chin making sure that it would hit head first and instantly be dead and the soul put at rest she hoped. Rock and stone cracked and spider webbed across the floor, dust and grit filling the air along with smaller junks that had been smashed. Releasing the body, Adi stepped from the crater she had made and engaged once more.
"How many more are there?" she called out hoping that since they knew their weaknesses it could be ended quicker.
