Umirith currently was avoiding his so call friend Adena who tended to love to boss him around and drag him around with her. it was his mission today to avoid her at all cost but he had a feeling he couldn't avoid her forever. he kind of regretted the day he met her when he had decided to pull a prank on her. giving a heavy sigh, he was getting rather bored by himself and debating on risking looking for one of his siblings cause he might end up running into Adena. after a few minutes he just threw himself onto the sand and pouted a bit. tail flicking about the sand, he really was close to throwing a fit out of boredom.

The sun was too bright. He hated it, and like Umirith avoided his sister, Misbah avoided the sunlight. His pale fur offered so little protection against it. The sun on his back was only half of the trouble. She sand was almost as bad, if not worse. The endless sea shone as bright as the surface of a pond at the hotter hours of the day. Heat cooked from above and below. Already, he had suffered a light burn on his belly and a headache from the glare in his eyes.
But the others... he peeked out of his den with his large ears dropped back against his head, eyes wide. The other cubs were able to handle the heat. Their paws were still tender, so they avoided the high-sun time of the day. They were, however, able to play mid-day and mid-afternoon. He waited until dusk to leave his cave. By then , the sky had cooled and the sands had darkened. There was still warmth in the sand but they weren't nearly as bad, in fact they were almost pleasant.
He danced from paw to paw, whimpering and looking outside. Like clockwork, the firey form of Asad came bounding up. He loved the sunlight but after many failed attempts, he knew not to pry his pale friend from his den until the sun touched the horizon line.
Sighing, he stepped out into the sand.
Asad came to a skidding stop and flicked his tail back and forth. The younger cub was a little smaller in stature, lean, but he had a sharpness in his eyes that seemed typical of the firekin.
"Hey! I just saw your brother. He's just flopped over-" His eyes narrowed. "Totally unaware..."
The pale cub frowned and tilted his head slightly. He wasn't following. "Asad....?"
"We're firekin!" He declared, throwing his head up. "Born to be warriors. When there's an advantage to take, we take it! Come on, we can have a lot of fun."
Without waiting for the pale cub to respond, Asad turned and led the way, his belly nearly dragging against the ground as he simulated the stalking crawl that he had seen out of the adults. In his mind, he was as stealthy as a shadow, pouring himself over the sands and blending right into the sands behind him. To anyone else- he looked quite silly. His shoulders rolled a bit too much, his over-size paws kicked up sand in front and behind him, and his tail was flicking far too quickly.
Misbah sighed and followed suite, stalking low to the ground behind the more energetic cub. In short order the two came upon the black-haired cub laying in the sands, bored out of his mind and listless in the sands.
Asad glanced over to Misbah and made a motion with his paw. Misbah frowned and gave a short shake of his head. He wasn't following. Rolling his eyes, Asad crept forward one more step. Then another. Another. Freezing, he wiggled his rear, perked, then charged.

Thalion No worries!!! biggrin and i might add in my one girly that makes Umirith her play toy Umirith really wasn't paying attention to his surroundings at all and he honestly didn't care at all. though he was about to when he suddenly was charged at by a bright orange and red cub that was his brother's friend. having barely noticed, he had no time at all to attempt to scramble out of the way and the sand didn't help at all as he sent sand all about in a attempt to get away. " STOP!" giving a loud hiss as best he could, there was nothing else he could do as him and the other cub collided. oh was he going to be in even more of a sour mood and you can bet he was going to take it out on them both. claws and teeth were out that he was going to use wither or not the other cub liked it as they had started this brawl.

The demand came far too late. Asad was airborn and the two little fuzzy bodies collided in the sand. Originally, he was going to assault the other cub with velveted paws and friendly nibbles but it seemed that in going to defense, Umirith decided it was time to play dirty. A few tiny, sharp claws pricked at his shoulder and Asad yelped. Not one to be out-done, he lunged and bit down onto the younger cub's ear.
"Playing rough!?" He growled, tugging a little sharply.
Misbah brought a paw over his face the moment of collision and listened, in quiet horror, to the sounds of a spar ahead of him. Daring to peek between his toes, he witnessed a rolling, hissing, spitting ball limbs and tails. Why did it always have to be rough? Asad was ambitious, and maybe that was good, but it seemed unnecessary.
"Oh come on guys!" The pale cub dropped his paw and inched forward. Half afraid of being tugged into the conflict, he dared only to reach his paw out to tug sheepishly on an exposed tail. "Come on! HEY!" He withdrew his paw as a swiping paw rushed by him. "Hey no claws!" I'll tell mom!"samus x Omg I'm sorry for the late tag! >< I swear I tagged this!

Thalion c: its all good -quick edit- 8D Umirith gave a loud yelp as his ear was tugged at sharply. " OW!!!!!!!! LEAVE MY EAR ALONE." and when he felt something touch his tail, he had quickly swung at whatever touched his tail and had not realized it was his brother til he said something about telling their mother. " don't tell mom." hissing, he had stopped his assault on Asad whom it seemed he was not going to be very fond of. " he started it anyways." taking one last swing at Asad, he wanted the last punch so to speak even if it might mean his brother would really tell their mother he had gotten into a brawl. fur all messed up and tail lashing about, he had no care that he had brought on the roughness of the fight when he shouldn't of. Adena had been looking for Umirith since she wanted to drag him around to explore and adventure. it wasn't long before she had heard his shouts and the brawling noises. ears perked she ran quickly to investigate why HER umirith was being so noisy. she was shocked to find that umirith was out numbered and decided to go running in to save him by attempting to tackle one of the other boys down. not knowing the whole situation she yelled. "LEAVE MY UMI ALONE!"

The cub scooted back away from his brother then hissed at the bite of the hot sand under his bum. It was too bright! Why did they want to play in the daytime?! He wanted to sit in the shade like any sane, normal cub. Out here burned his pads, it nibbled at his skin, and made it hard to see. Bringing a paw up to block the sunlight from his eyes, Misbah watched the small brawl come to its end.
His brother, of course, was less than happy about it. Asad, however, seemed more than pleased with himself.
"You're not supposed to use claws." He said with a sneer. "Only serious fights do. You don't wanna put out an eye."
Asad rolled his eyes. "The enemy isn't going to fight fair, Misbah. They'll go for the eyes, the throat...and the tail."
Misbah gasped and pulled his tail in closer to him. He hated having it tugged on, stepped on, or nibbled on. "No... that's dishonorable!"
Asad bobbed a shoulder and began fixing his mane. "Not all enemies have honor either. Uncle Ali-Baba says that the mud-pelts at the bone lands would take out an eye if they got in a pinch. I heard from my father that one of my older brothers took out grandpa's eye during the war."
He looked over to his sparring partner and flashed a smile. "Still- you scream like a girl. That won't scare away any muddies."
