Levi hated to be at home by himself. If he was alone, then he had no one to admire or praise him. Usually, he at least had the young Keindred, Carrion by his side. But some desire to actually spend time with his son had Samael taking his child out into the world. And Oblivion wasn't invited. It was downright cruel. Rather than sit in the mountains of Eowyn and mope, the Diabi decided to use this opportunity to explore. He usually wasn't at all interested in Serenia (since it was home to Aedauns and their holier-than-thou attitudes), but today he figured he really had absolutely nothing better to do.

And that was why he was strolling through a green field, his feathery wings rustling in the soft breeze. It seemed like nothing but grass as far as he could see, but as he neared the top of a slope, he spotted a splash of black against the green. Just sitting there. The Diabi tipped his head and crept closer. Further inspection revealed that it was indeed some type of animal. It looked him dead in the face, saw him as a potential predator, and didn't even move. Oblivion was instantly taken aback. This beast was clearly stupid. In the game of survival of the fittest, it would most certainly lose. He should do it a kindness he put it out of it's misery now.

Levi lunged forward. The beast let out a caterwaul of agony as the Diabi's fangs sank into it. Despite the large animal's feeble struggles, it was felled without Oblivion even breaking a sweat. The warm blood oozed into his mouth and around his sharp teeth, and Levi was pleased to find that the flavor was actually pretty good! Maybe he could enjoy this snack before continuing on...

Levi tore into the creature with a pleased smile. He'd never tasted this kind of meet before. And since he was off on his own, why shouldn't he try new things? That was what he'd left home for, after all... He paused and turned to watch in confusion as a little two-legger girl with orange hair and tiny wings ran toward him, shouting something about problems Levi didn't have. He flicked his tail dismissively at her and took another bite. It was laughable! He'd like to see some little runt stop him from doing whatever he-!

Ugly?!

All of his feathers fluffed up around him in immediate anger. Oblivion turned to glare at her with a mouthful of sheron. How dare she?! He was far more glorious than any two-legger ever could be! He decided to display his feelings by spitting the large mouthful of food out at her. "Excuse you!" He scoffed, turning indignantly away from her. "If your papa was so concerned about his beasts, then he wouldn't leave them out here in the open for me to eat!" He retorted. "No, bugger off, little girl! You're annoying me."

Oblivion almost felt bad for the pitiful two-legger, owning a bunch of these meaty beasts but being unable to eat them for whatever reason. At least, he might if she weren't so annoying! "They are stupid animals, and they deserve to be eaten!" Levi scoffed, ruffling his feathers as he glared down at the little girl. Was she trying to threaten him? Her tiny free was probably the most nonthreatening thing he'd ever seen in his life... At least his most recent meal had had size on its side, despite its stupidity.

As she turned her attention briefly to something near his feet, Levi did the same, spotting a very orange... pumpkin. He tipped his head and stared inquisitively at it, then let his gaze travel back to the girl. Was it... something she wanted? He gave it a swat with his paw, knocking it a few inches to the side, further away from her. Well, if she wanted it, he certainly wouldn't let her have it easily! Not with the way she came around and snapped at him for enjoying a snack!

Levi could not have cared any less about the girl's problems. The sheron were prey animals (the little Orderite had basically just said so. Plus, nothing so stupid could ever pass for anything more), and Levi: a predator. Eating these beasts was his Abronaxus-given right. His tail flicked, and he scooped the little pumpkin doll closer with an outstretched claw. "If you don't want the to be eaten, perhaps you should post a guard, or have some kind of animal to scare Drakeins away." He chuckled at the thought of anything scaring him away. "But you don't, so... You must not care about them that much."

He tossed the doll into the air with a flick of his wrist, and it landed a few feet away, sending up a puff of dust as it hit the ground. He stood and moved away from his kill to pounce after the new toy. The girl seemed to like the strange plush, so why shouldn't Levi enjoy it too...?

Levi huffed and shook out his feathers as the petite child approached him. He stood his ground and glowered down at her. "With an attitude like that, you're unlikely to accomplish anything!" He snorted remorselessly, still pawing at the squishy plush. He wondered what was so important about it... He'd never seen a kid play with a stuffed vegetable before. Most seemed to prefer plush Baowis. She sure was a strange one...

He tossed the pumpkin into the air and caught the stem between his teeth, holding it far up above her head. "Too vad you're too vmall to get it vrom me!" He retorted, voice a bit muffled from trying to puncture any seams.

Levi yelped as the girl grasped a fistful of his soft, perfectly groomed feathers, splaying them out and bending them around at awkward angles. How dare she! She must've just been jealous of how beautiful and graceful he was compared to her, so she had to try and ruin it for him! He supposed if he was stuck in dull, drab Serenia on this awful farm, he'd have some pent up aggression too, but that didn't excuse her behavior! He he felt her climbing along him, he instantly dropped into a crouch and rolled to his side before flipping onto his back, pinning the youngster beneath him. A spray of dust sprang up and coated him, further marring his beautiful appearance. It did nothing to alleviate Oblivion's frustrations. He shifted and rolled very carefully so that she was trapped beneath his stomach, and he could scowl down at her with his crimson orbs blazing.

"Look here, girl," He started off coldly, making sure that he was at a good angle for her to see his glistening white teeth. The plushie had been tossed off to the side somewhere during the scuffle. Oblivion didn't know or care where. "I come only to show what flaws you have in your farming system and to offer my advice, but someone like you seems like a bit of a flaw, yourself." He snapped his teeth just above her. "Maybe I should do your family a kindness and be rid of you for them."

Oblivion's tail flicked humorlessly, and he took the time to dutifully inspect his claws while the little Orderite got all the frustration out of her system with her rant. The Diabi couldn't be bothered to concentrate on the slew of words. He was much more interested in himself. It seemed his forearms had collected a bit of dirt in the tussle. He'd heard the waters of the Serenian lakes were quite lovely... Mayhaps a bath was in order once he was quite through with this child. His glowing orbs flicked down to her as he heard an apology cross her lips. That was more like it. He rose slowly to all fours, careful not to put any unnecessary weight on her and squish her.

"Very well." He agreed fluidly, taking a few paces back to give her some space. Ah, she was even offering him gifts as compensation. Yes, yes, he did deserve them, after all. "I will do my best to teach you how to better care for your livestock. So they don't get eaten or killed by other, much scarier predators."He leaned down to her eye-level. "My name is Oblivion. I go by Levi."

Oblivion leaned down to sniff the offered appendage. He didn't have anything of the like to shake with himself. He wasn't some kind of tamed animal, after all! Instead he nuzzled his nose lightly against her hand on greeting. Avani, hm? He wondered what she was named for. He'd never heard of whoever it was before, so her namesake was not be as impressive as his. He decided not to comment on that, though, and instead shook his head. "I'm not a two-legger. I don't know nor care how you feed them or bathe them, or whatever it is you do with these stupid beasts if not for eating. I'll just show you how to protect them. They seem rather stupid, themselves, so who knows if they can actually be trained to flee from danger..."
