It didn't stop him from thinking being a knight was awesome, but Ashur wasn't really used to it yet. The teen thought the whole transformation thing was pretty spiffy, so he used just about any excuse to do it. Of course, the guy didn't think he'd run into anything serious. Smart? No, probably not. Did that matter at all to him, though? Uh...well, no, not even slightly. The experience was totally worth it.
"What's with this look, though?" the page questioned with a raised brow, his attention coming to the reflection in the window display of a random store he was passing. He tugged at the neckline of his top, heaving a sigh as he let it go. "Whatever. If I pretend I'm a jedi or something, it's actually kind of cool." With a grin he posed as though he were holding a light saber, his balsa sticks serving as a poor substitute prop. It looked kind of...cool? ...No, nope. Never mind.
Ashur's expression dropped after only a few seconds, and he straightened himself out before continuing with his "patrol." It actually felt more like a late night stroll, and a really quiet one at that. As he rounded the corner, though, he finally saw the first sign of life since he started that evening. Everything felt normal enough, so the page figured it was alright to approach.
"Yo!" he called out, smiling. "It's pretty late out, what'cha doin'?"

On her way home from a late trip to the store after dinner, Orah had been hoping to make it there and back without any trouble. That was, perhaps, too much to ask for in the circus that her life had become, but a girl could always hope.
Bag in one hand, purse slung messenger style over her shoulders, she started as she heard someone calling to her and looked up blinkingly with huge, brown eyes. She didn't recognize the voice... and had she been just the teen girl she looked, she might have felt a tad more worried than she did about the question. At least she had an advantage, if she managed to transform in time. Muggers would find her not quite an easy target... but it was probably lucky anyway that the man she saw didn't look like a mugger. Actually, after a moment, she sort of suspected that he was no ordinary man, though it was impossible to sense anything when she wasn't powered up.
Opening her mouth to call a greeting and ask who he was, Orah found herself interrupted by something hurtling out of the alleyway she was crossing to slam into her and send her sprawling on the ground, letting out a cry of pain instead as her bruised ribs and wrist protested the rough treatment.
Something big and hairy snarled above her and the teen couldn't hold back a shriek at the sight of what was undoubtedly a feral youma crouched over her, its ugly face twisting in a hungry smile. Oh gods, where was her pen... she needed to transform!

Ashur didn't think he sounded anything like a mugger -- he was even smiling! -- but if he actually stopped to consider the hour then he might have understood why it took the girl a bit of time to answer. Still, she looked rather calm, and when he thought he was within conversing distance Ash came to a stop. He didn't even really notice that she was standing in an alleyway and something could, you know, run out and get her, be it a mugger, murderer, or what have you.
Just as she was about to reply, or so it seemed, something just happened to run out of the alleyway that Ash totally hadn't been paying attention to, effectively slamming right into her. Both bodies were on the ground in a matter of seconds, and Ash was kinda-sorta frozen right where he stood. If she hadn't cried out for whatever reason, he probably would have stayed rooted to the spot.
"The hell is that?!" he shouted, making a rather stupid face in the process. He'd seen something similar before, but back then Camelot had come to save the day. Apparently no time for that now, so without even really thinking and wanting to make sure the girl didn't get eaten, Ashur rushed it and rammed into the thing. His sticks probably weren't going to be of much use in this situation, not that they were every useful, but if he got the thing's attention then hopefully the girl would take the chance to run to safety.

Suddenly the snarling youma was gone from above her and as soon as she was clear Orah struggled onto her feet, wide-eyed but grateful that whomever it was had come to her rescue. She was helpless like this and with the thing right on top of her, there was no way to fight back.
Her purse and purchases forgotten, the teen darted back to relative safety and wasted no time in pulling her pen from the pocket it was hidden in. She just couldn't leave him to fight that thing on his own...
"Ida Asteroid Power Make-up!" The brown haired girl called as she lifted her pen up, watching it's shine turn into a glow and spread to wrap around her. The light folded like petals and suddenly her clothes were gone, dissolved into the light before the light formed new ones around her. When the glow had faded, she was filled with strength and the power that came with henshin, a hood holding back her hair and a short skirt brushing her hips.
White boots carried her across the concrete with ease to join the fray, unafraid of the monster now that she was properly attired. Making sure he wasn't in the way as she did it, Eternal Ida gave the youma a nasty kick to the head, nearly taking the thing clear off of the knight it was wrestling with. Yes, she could feel it now... definitely an order signature, and fist level.
"I've got it! Get to safety!" She called down to him, poised for another strike to the monster.

Yeah, ramming into a youma probably wasn't the best idea. Sure, it might have made him look good or cool or whatever (then again, maybe not), but in the end all he ended up getting was under a youma that looked about ready to rip him apart. He was glad the girl took his advice and she disappeared almost as soon as he..
Power whatnow? During the little struggle he had with the youma and trying to keep it from tearing out a piece of his face, Ashur heard a girl's voice call out something familiar, and it was just a few moments later that he felt a strange sort of sensation going on in the back of his mind. The page couldn't have witnessed the girl's transformation to Ida since he was fighting to keep himself in one piece, so he didn't put two and two together.
Not that he really cared about this strange, familiar sensation, though. Not while the youma continued to try and, you know, kill and-or eat him. He felt a wave of relief wash over him as the youma he'd been struggling with was suddenly off of him with one sweet kick to the head from some girl in a skirt. And a nice, rather pretty outfit...though he didn't have time to make any proper observations. Ashur quickly got to his feet and tried his best to focus.
Girl in a flowery skirt kicking youma a** and telling him to get out of the way? ...Yeah, okay, he could do that.
"Got it!" he said, probably sounding a little too relieved. He could do without all the fangs and the almost dying bit anyway, so he had absolutely no problems with her instructions. From the sidelines -- which probably didn't count as "safety" but there was no way he'd run off down the street even if she told him to -- he watched as Eternal Ida beat the youma into smithereens, wondering if he'd ever get to the point of actually being useful in a battle. That'd probably help stave off the almost dying part, so that was half the job done.

Thankfully, the knight followed her order to get the fudge out of the way and the eternal wasted no time in flinging a hand up in front of her. Glowing petals trailed after, coming together in the shape of a bow that she took up and drew back the string on. A glowing arrow appeared between her hands as she called out her attack.
"Heavenly Orchid Arrows!" Ida said as she released it, the arrow roaring towards the youma and exploding on contact. Amidst the flash of light and sound was the howl of the youma as it dusted into a thousand particles that floated down to settle on the concrete.
After a moment, Ida finally relaxed, feeling her attack pull at her energy reserves. Thankfully, that had been a relatively weak youma, since one arrow had finished it off.... and thankfully, both of them had come out unharmed, if maybe a little sore on her part. Slender brown fingers flexed in her cast as Ida turned to look for the knight, hoping for a chance to meet someone new.
"Hello!" She called out as she waved her good hand. "I'd like to thank you for saving me."

The Uranus page fought the urge to call out "flower power" as he watched from where he stood, eyes wide, as the senshi's magic effectively blew up the youma. Never mind the name or any of that, but that. Was. Awesome. With the thing dusted, Ash felt himself relax a bit and he shoved aside the whole almost getting eaten part of this experience in favor of retaining the cool bit of magic he just witnessed.
"That was pretty sweet," the teen said, smiling rather brightly as she approached. She saved him and all, so he automatically assumed she was a good guy. Or, at least, she probably wasn't out to kill him or something. That idea was supported all the more when she said she wanted to thank him, even waved at him, which made his smile broaden just a bit more. He tried to keep himself grounded though -- she did basically all the work of getting rid of the youma, so his contribution was almost negligible.
Though...well, he did save her. But aside from that, he didn't do anything else, so he didn't have any intention to claim any bragging rights. The teen scratched the back of his head. "Didn't do all that much, but I'm glad I was able to help out somehow..."

"Oh, you did exactly what was needed!" Ida said as she approached to a comfortable distance, her face glowing with her smile. "The way it had me pinned, I couldn't get to my henshin pen and without being able to transform, it could have easily killed me. Your distraction set me free and that's when I was able to pitch in to kill it."
Ida would happily count this as a team effort and she was honestly happy for what he had done. He might not see it as much, but it was quite a lot to her.
"Oh, uh, I'm Sailor Ida. Its really nice to meet you! You're sort of new, aren't you?" His low level seemed to hint at that, but you couldn't really be sure... maybe some people powered up at different rates than others. Maybe he'd been around for years already. Ida sort of hoped he was just new... new people meant someone to teach, someone to mentor... even if they didn't take her up on the offer, knowing them from the beginning was a benefit as far as she was concerned.
"I've been trying to meet all the new people I can find... help them out if I can."

It perked him up a bit when she said that he'd done his part, and from the sound of it it seemed like he'd done pretty well. Talk of henshin pens and transformations, though, kind of just flew right over his head. He hadn't really paid all that much attention to all that stuff before, so any technical "jargon" was past him. Still, he kind of got it so Ashur just nodded. The guy was glad he kept the youma was killing her, of course.
"Ashur, of Uranus," he returned her introduction. Ash committed her name to memory -- thankfully he had a pretty good one, so he'd never had any problem keeping up with names and faces -- as he listened to her question and sort of statement about meeting up with new people. Powered people, he assumed, and when she'd finished speaking he nodded with a smile.
"New would definitely be a way to describe me, so yeah," he replied, sighing a bit in the process. "I'm pretty new to all...this." The teen made a gesture in the general direction of where the youma had jumped out of the alley and onto Ida's civilian form. "So I could probably use whatever help I can get." When it came to anything related to being a knight he was actually more in need of help than anything else, though he wasn't sure how someone who wasn't a knight was supposed to help him learn about...well...being a knight.
Maybe there was more to learn, though, than just the knight side of things?

Ida smiled gently as she listened to him, glad she had found someone she could help. Hopefully she wouldn't go too overboard with it and chaise him off... the eternal senshi realized she tended to get a little to enthused lately when she talked about powered life.
"Why don't we just... talk for a little bit, hmm? I bet you probably have some questions. Lets get up off the street so we're not bothering anyone, though." She said after a little thought, waving a hand up at the buildings around them. Turning, she gathered herself and jumped, making the edge of the roof with relative ease. A benefit to senshi strength, that. Hopefully her new knight friend could make the same jump... truthfully she knew more about the senshi side of things than she did the knight side. Still... she knew some, and it could possible be more than he already knew.
"Come on!" Ida called as she waved down at him. Moving around above street level had always felt safer to her, for whatever reason... maybe it was being able to see for a greater distance without buildings in the way. Maybe it was the lack of foot traffic to contend with. Whatever. It felt better to be up high.

Her offer to talk sounded like a good deal for him, and she didn't act in any way that would chase him off. If anything, she kind of drew him in, being all nice and stuff and talking about helping with all some things he was probably still in the dark about. He hadn't exactly gone around actively asking questions, but it might have been around the time he started.
She jumped ahead of him after offering to talk and suggesting they get some place less obvious, and he watched -- curious eyes landing on the odd set of wings hanging around her lower back -- as she landed on the roof's edge without any problems. Thankfully he'd messed around enough times in his current form that he was able to catch up without too much trouble. He almost slipped and fell, but he didn't.
Smiling sheepishly at the senshi, he laughed lightly. "So, uh... where to?" he asked, trying to pass his little slip as nothing major. He wasn't all that familiar with the rooftops of DC, in all honesty, so the new Page would be relying on her as a sort of guide from here on if she planned on leading him anywhere else.

The eternal senshi watched as he made his jump to the roof, feeling a little concern as he slipped. Amusement replaced it as he corrected himself and she found herself glad she tended to be sure of foot. The pair of them might survive a fall to the street, but that never meant it would be a comfortable experience.
When he asked where to, she shrugged lightly, clasping her hands together behind her back, just under her wings. She was so proud of the feather-shaped cloth she wore... she was finally at the same level as the rest of her team, truly a full fourth member. Before, there had always been that little bit of distance between them, a little more struggle to keep up with her friends. Now, she could stand tall on her own and really, truly contribute in a meaningful way. It helped, of course, that her magic came with a power up and a nice, long-ranged attack.
"I don't have anywhere in mind, I just thought it would be nicer up here." Ida said as she started walking, keeping the pace easy. There was some distance before they reached the edge of the roof and would need to jump to the next one.
"To start of... do you have any questions right up front that you'd like to ask? I don't know everything, but I'll let you everything I can. I also know a Templar, so if I don't know something about knights, I'm sure we can find out from him." Camelot would be a good resource for this man, though she would do her best in the mean time.

Yeah, falling to the street from that kind of height was definitely not something Ash ever wanted to experience. Granted, there was a good chance he'd actually end up falling at that kind of height if he was fighting against like...a flying youma or something...but he'd try his best not to fall from a rooftop for as long as he can help it.
Anyway, he was glad that the eternal senshi didn't point it out. Instead, she started leading him to more the middle part of the roof, towards the other side of it, maybe even to the roof across the alley. They'd have to jump again, but across was always easier to manage than vertical. It didn't seem like Ida was in any sort of rush though, so Ashur kept with her easy pace, about two steps behind and off to her right. "Roofs are...nice, yeah," he said, trying to picture the scene set with a sunset or sunrise in the background. It certainly would be nicer, though the lights of the city weren't a bad backdrop either.
When she finally started the proper part of the conversation, though, Ashur refocused his attention and started to think of what he could ask. Mention of a Templar -- probably a higher level knight by the sounds of it -- kind of added to his questions, but he tried to push all the questions about what were probably just trivial details aside and just focus on the big-picture questions. With that in mind, he finally asked. "Alright, so to start...I guess I'll just ask something kind of broad. What exactly is this war all about?"
It was probably on the vague and general side as far as questions go, but if she could offer him an answer that gave him an idea about what he was suddenly just thrust into, he'd be that much closer to figuring out exactly how he felt about all of it. As things currently were, he was just enjoying the benefits of being a knight -- the extra speed, the extra power, and a cool (if questionably so) costume.

His question was rather startling and it drew Ida to a stop as she turned to look back at him. Really, she wasn't sure what she was surprised it would be his first question. It was probably the one question everyone was asking, but she wasn't sure she could give him a very good answer when she didn't have one for herself. At least... she knew why she was fighting, if not why the fighting was needful. It was a bit of a jumbled mess, but maybe she could help straighten it out at least a little for him.
"That's... a really tough question." Ida said after a moment, scuffing the heel of her boot against the ground. "Its been going on for so long that I think people have forgotten what its all about. I mean... I've heard rumors that the senshi are all supposed to be searching for a moon princess, or something, but its not like anyone gets a manual when they first power up. Knights, I think, don't even have that... So there isn't really any big reason behind it."
The eternal looked a little sad at that, wistful. "It would be nice if there were... but most of us just find our own reasons. Mine is that I want to protect the people of this city from the Negaverse. I've seen them hurting people, draining them of energy and taking their starseeds. I power up to stop that from happening, as much as I can, but not everyone feels the same way I do. Some have other reasons, or other ways of doing things."

Ashur listened carefully, watching the senshi with curious eyes and an equally curious expression that started to fall as she slowly answered his question as best she could. His lips curved downward in a slight frown as the young Page processed what she said, in the end sighing slightly. "Oh..." he started, not really sure how else he could respond. She hadn't said anything that could help him straighten out his own thoughts...
But at least he did have a slightly better idea. Search for a princess -- that was new, and even if she said it was a rumor at least it was...something. After letting a bit of silence hang in the air, Ash finally broke it by saying, "Well, guess I'll have to figure out my own reason," with a bit of a smirk, contrasting the saddened look that seemed to cross Ida's features. After she went on to share her reasons, the Page found his next question.
"Negaverse...you mean like that monster we just fought?" He'd only seen something like it once before, not counting his encounters with those Floating Mirror-Things of Death. Ash's face contorted somewhat to reflect his confusion. "They never seemed all that...sentient...to me. But I kind of get why you'd wanna protect people from 'em if you can."
